Its called harassement. Its the caller duty to pay attention if they are making a call.

They never leave a message, and it will not pick up if you don't say hello 2-3 times. They are very annoying, but who else offers internet as fast in these parts?

We have been getting calls, too, almost every day. We finally called back and were told they are calling customers to go over promotions and bundles. They tried to up-sell us to home phone service but since we have MagicJack at $20/year and they admitted they couldn't match or beat that, they agreed to remove us from the calling list. They said it would take up to 20 days to take effect...figures!  20 days from now, if they keep calling, we will file a complaint with FCC and Do Not Call (once you request ANYONE to stop calling and they continue, you can file a complaint even if they are your service provider).

They keep calling me... one time I had three calls from them within a fifteen minute stretch. But I don't answer unless I know who is calling and if I don't I'll wait for a Voice mail! They never leave one so I never answer! Very irritating though!

They call my cell phone,,, tell them quit calling and couple weeks later they call again....

Sales from Charter.  Sometimes someone there, sometimes not - must be using auto-dialer. Every couple of months, they call & call. Last time the salesman was so obnoxious, I had to hang-up and I finally blocked their number.

I am disgusted with this phone number I will sue if they keep on calling me. They never answer their phone.

Calls 3-4 times per day, 7 days a week as late as 9pm

i dont who it is that keeps calling me from this number. i dont answer my phone if i dont regconize the number

Always ask the telemarketing company to remove you from the call list, and any of there internal lists.
If they are calling for multiple companies .. you will be off of all of them ( at least from that one company).  Other telemarketing companies may be calling for the same client ( charter)  Get the agent name if you can.  After 30 days if you still get the same call .. file a complaint  .. you may get 10,000 dollars for it.

Remember even if you are on a Do Not Call list, If you are or have been (in the recent past) a customer of a company, they are not bound by the Do Not Call lists, unless you ask them specifically

Wrong!!!! I got 15 calls from them in the last week and I don't owe them 1 dime. They are trying to sell me something . Why don't I answer ? Cause I did before and they do NOT take no for a answer !!! The "do not call list" , does no good cause you are a customer so they can call . Very Rude , even I loose my internet and TV service , I hope they go broke and someone with some consideration for their customers buys this company .So grow up Tamara and understand their are people out there that just want to bother people even when they know they are unwanted .

Can't get Charter to QUIT calling. Between Charter and dishnetwork, (dishnetwork calls to verify you are hooked up to a phone line, or you get charged more) WOW. Kind of like they have nothing else better to do than to draw a number out of the hat and start calling.
My question is, why fill out a "no call?" sure does not seem to work. Main reason I got rid of land line was to get rid of telemarketers....there back.....so much for respecting  your request.

I hear what you are saying but when they call repeatedly and they do not respond every time you answer or at least most of the time when you answer, it does get annoying. I have recieved calls from this number and I have talked to them as well as just heard them breathing. I do not owe them money, they just want me to upgrade my service; even though I have told them many times I am happy with what I recieve. I just think that you repeatedly say "to grow up" and really it is not an issue of growing up. It is the issue that when people call your cell phone that they talk to you and not just breathe in the phone. It's annoying! And when they are told not to call again they continue to call.

Still calling my cell phone.  They are not collecting $$ (none of these #'s are, since I don't owe any $$).  Seeing that it's charter, i don't have cable and my cell phone (a pay as you go) get's ding if I answer, glad I know from here who's # it is, so I just put it on my "reject call" list.  Only wish my HOME phone had a "block calls" feature!  But, if I don't recognize the # I don't answer, and I can mute the ringing!

Called our business number asking for another business (by another name) wanting us to call them back.  What don't they understand when the voice mail says OUR business name??  Also called by 877-313-4274 which is listed as General Credit Services.  Maybe they should make up their minds who THEY are!!

Same here. 2-3 calls a day for months. They are an outsourced call center, not even really Charter. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was assured the calls would stop in 20 days. That was 2 months ago and the calls continue. I'm seriously thinking of changing the phone number I have listed with Charter to a fake number so that I don't have to deal with this b***s***.

It happened to me last year and again just a few days ago. They have called my cell phone several times, but I just put the number on my reject list and notice that they have made several attempts. Your phone just automatically just ignores it, thought it will appear on your recently receive call.  It's a pain but you don't have to continue to answer your phone and get nothing on the other end.
They eventually stop calling and I just go back and erase them on my reject list.

They keep trying to get me to buy a "Landline". I have told them every time, don't need it, don't want it. I realy don't need there cable anymore either.

I get the same call but I owe no money never had and want them to stop calling.  Maybe you like people calling 20 time a day and leave no message.  They should grow up and be a professional and leave a message to call charter back.

I just called that number and it's an advertisement for Charter! I am also extremely annoyed, calling twice a day and never any message and yes I have also heard breathing! Weird! I called Charter customer service and told them that If I get ONE more call from this number I will have all my Charter services shut off immediately and they have assured me that I will not receive any more of these calls. So, call Charter and give them a piece of your mind I bet this program ends! Good Luck!

It is Charter and they are just trying to sell you their bundling package - phone, cable, and internet. I have told them repeatedly that I don't want all of those services, but they continue to call.

We have been receiving calls from this number and also 313-3769 for months and months!  Caller ID says "Out of Area" and they never leave a message.  I've got both numbers blocked, but they keep calling.  Being a Charter Communications customer, I took the advice of Angela (8/10/10 post), went to the Charter website, into my privacy settings and took myself off of their email, phone and snail mail special promotions marketing crap lists.  We'll see if that works.  Unfortunately, they are the only game in town for cable and internet.

I read the posts. It appears to be a legit number from Charter using an automated system. It is unbelievably annoying. I'll have to go to the Do Not Call Registry. Thanks for the helpful comments.

In response to Tamara - after we've answered and said hello 3 times and there is no response - it is not a "legit" call.  Don't presume you are so high and mighty and eveyone else is just dodging their responsibilities so you are telling them to "grow up people".

I too am getting calls from this number on my cell phone with no message several times EVERY day. I just called it back to see who it was and the recorded greeting said charter communications. So, I set up a "DO NOT ANSWER" contact on my Droid X cell phone, placed their number in it and clicked the box which sends it directly to voice mail. The phone no longer rings when they call as they are sent directly to voice mail! WHEN and IF they ever leave a message, I'll find out what they want. Until then, the can kiss my a$$! I also added those other unwanted spam call phone numbers to the same do not answer contact list. Now, I only know I had a missed call.

When my phone rings and I don't recognize the number, or it is blocked, I ignore it. If the call is important, they will leave a message. If they don't want to leave a message, then I don't want to talk with them.

There is NO law that says I have to answer my phone every time it rings. I also work the mid-night shift and sleep during the day. I've had to start turning off the ringer when I go to bed which means I have missed a few important calls that I needed to answer.

In addition, you can also call your phone company and ask them to block that number. The "Do Not Call" list should have been a "Please Call" list. That way, if you don't want calls, do nothing and if you do want calls, place your number on the list. Leave it to the government to screw it up!

it's not charter. it's someone trying to steal business from charter. they say they're charter but then say they want to save me money and is my bill approximately 100-125 a month. If it were charter, they'd know my bill amount. I hung up then.
