I have received countless calls from these annoying, rude people, @ all hours, for many years now, promoting an interest rate reduction as part of the "Obama Financial Stimulus Program." Today, I finally opted to answer their calls (3 already), and was put on hold for several minutes, before an ethnic female w/a southern accent got on the line and started asking me to confirm their computer info by giving my name, location, & last 4 of my SSN. When I asked why she needed my personal info since they already had it, the female rudely responded to my question by pretending that she was deaf, repeatedly saying,"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? Did you hear me ask you for your name, etc. for the third time, or are you just ignoring me?" When I persisted in asking why she needed my personal info, she then stated that I gave her no choice but to withdraw her offer and terminate the call. I then promptly told her not to call me again! (I just now received another one!)

I am annoyed to get these calls all the time. Automated call today (1-22-13) said this was my last chance  to cut my rates. I pressed "2" for more information and tried to sound old and feeble (well, older and more feeble than I am) to keep person in the Qualifications Dept. on the line as long as possible (to cost the company money). Eventually she said the automated call came from my lender who then referred me to the Qual. Dept. She said my lender could be Chase or Bank of America or whoever issues the credit card. So I called Chase and after a long talk with customer service, Chase is putting me on a do not call list. Customer Service denied that these calls are related to them, but what can it hurt to be on their do not call list?

They call themselves "Client Services," which is completely bogus.  They contacted my elderly mother and told her they could reduce her credit card interest rate, then asked for her social security number.  Be aware of these criminals!!!

Company also known as MoneyWorks, Clear Breeze Solutions. Don't go near them, if you get involved, cancel as quickly as possible and stay by the phone... Be persistent. You can get your money back.  Fax them a cancellation letter,Fax # 678 213 1589 and keep calling to verify that they receive it.  If you get blocked out with your phone number, use a different phone number.

I am  feeling stupid. I am hopelessly  sinking in debt in desperate need of help. I should of hung up as I normally do.I have been investigating the Financial Protection Center and I only found 1 good remark (probably 1 of the scammers themself) among many bad remarks. The co.seems to change it's # and  co. name and address to keep the scam going. I also noticed the names complainters used were Jason Adams, James Adams John Adams Zak Thomas (coincidently a pro football players name). FPC appears to be AKA Clear Breeze Solutions, Versa Debt, Card member services etc...I may be out $1095.00 if I cant resolve. Almost every complaint said they were insulted when they said not interested I never said no so they were civil to me and convincing.I got some info from BBB and they gave FDC a C-,and CBS an F. Pray for me as I am losing all hope in this greedy hateful world.

Had the same experience as Mike and was on the phone for about an hour.  Told them that I never did anything on the phone; they could send me the information and I would read it over.  Spoke with Darlene Lucas and she related to me that could not be done until I spoke with their lawyer which would be taped; I knew once I was on with the lawyerthey would have had me; told her I may be old but I am not stupid.  They also wanted me to charge $990.00 on my card and assured me that I would never have to pay it back because of my good credit rating.  Since I was the way I was they actually hungup on me, thank God.  Was the worst experience I have ever had.  They certainly were well trained

I called the CC company tonight, unfortunately they are not as accommodating ... they said they couldn't cancel, even though they hadn't paid the company, it was just authorized at this point.
They said the only people who could authorize the credit is Financial Protection Center!

Now they had me on the phone for an hour and a half to 'sell' me on this 'win-win' situation ... so you can just imaging how long it will take me to get my charge reversed.

Automated call about my credit card last time they are going to try to reach me. Thought there might be a problem with my CC so I push 2 to talk with someone. "Tiffany" takes the call and says she is with Credit Services and is calling to lower my interest rates on my Visa & Master Card accounts. I told her I was not interested b/c she sounded like a debt consolidation company and that would hurt my credit. She told me there was nothing about this process that would hurt my credit that they were regulated by the federal government and all calls were monitored and recorded. I told her my financial advisor said this was not a good idea. She said this was only her 3rd day on the job that she would transfer me to a floor manager who could explain it better. A fast talking man comes on the phone and says they are a Nationwide Company and are regulated by the federal government that my information is perfectly safe with them. I asked how they got my name and number. He said it was because I paid my bills on time and had a good credit score. I asked how he could have that information without my permission. He said it was because they were a part of a federally regulated program that work with people and their credit cards to help lower interest rates. I asked for him to mail me more information and I would call back if I was interested. He said they could not b/c they had already mailed me something and I did not respond. I said I did not get it they would have to send it to me again that I was not comfortable giving out personal informaiton over the phone. He said he could not authorize that without some information first. When I repeated I would not give out personal information, he said he was going to let me talk with a general manager who might make me feel more at ease with everything. (I only stayed on the line this long b/c I was concerned what information they might have and wanted to know how & why they were calling.)This time Lisa answers the phone as a "floor manager" I said that I thought they were transfering me to a general manager and she said well I am a floor manager with more seniority and power than he has. She repeated the same thing the other 2 had told me. Only when I asked her how she got my name she said they got it from the 3 credit bureaus and that I had at least $3000 in debt on my card. She then began to explain that they work with Visa and Mastercard holders to lower their credit card itnerest rates and save them lots of money. I asked how they went about this. She told me she could not give me specifics without finding out what I qualified for-that it was against the law and federal regulations. I asked her to mail some information and she told me that this was a one time offer that if I did not take it I would be placed on a decline list. I told her it was not that I was not interested in lowering my rates but that I was not comfortable giving out any information over the phone. She explained that all they needed was a 16 digit account number that without the expiration and the 3 digit code on the back they would not be able to do anything with the number. I told her that was not true that I had someone place fraudulent charges on my account in the past. She said she was sorry that had happened in the past that she completely understood why I felt the way I did but could not understand how someone could charge on my card without the other information on it. She further stated that to make me more comfortable I could even be on the line when they called the credit card companies to negoiate the rates. I asked why my credit card would want to lower my rate-she said the credit card companies make the rates but the bank would be willing to take whatever they could to keep the account in good standing. I asked how they did the negotiating and this time she told me that they could not tell me anything more without more information. I told her she was not getting any information from me over the phone. She said she could tell I was sincerely interested and would give me a call back tomorrow to allow me some time to think it over. I asked her to give me the name of the company-Credit Services out of Atlanta GA. She gave me this number to call back 1-877-317-6098 and said her name was Lisa Davis. Then she asked for my number to have one of her representatives call me tomorrow b/c their call center was closing for the day. Then asked me if the same time was ok to call me back.
These people are really good-they almost had me!  I have called and reported them to my local agency and will follow up with the GA Bureau of Investigation.

Nanna,

I received a call from Tiffani Malone, Qualifications Mgr. # 13347 w/ FinancialProtectionCenter.gov [website does not exist]  She said the company negotiated on behalf of MasterCard and Visa to get lower rates, that it was part of the bailout program and that if I had more than $3,000 in credit card debt they could help.  I asked, "what's the catch?" She said none, it's to keep the economy going b/c everyone is closing their accounts and transferring balances and they want them to stay with their current cards and pay their debts.  She was very good and very persuasive. I gave her my highest card number [maxed out] she asked if I had another card that was "active." I said that card is active it's just maxed out.  Now I know why she wanted another card no.  I said give me more information about your company and I'll give you more information.  I stuck it out and by the end of the conversation she had me with a senior manager. [These people are good.] Anna Bickford said not to worry about giving my credit card number to them, they could do anything w/o the 3-digit number on the back and that I should never give that number to anyone nor should I give my 9-digit social to anyone.  I gave them another credit card number that wasn't maxed out.  I was transferred to the Executive Sr. Mgr. who congratulated me and said they could lower my interest rates.  B/c I paid my bills and had such a good credit rating I did not have to send a check to them like so many of their clients, they could just put the $1,080 charge on my credit card.  I went ballistic and said I did not want to do business with them, that they had misrepresented themselves, gave me fraudulent info and to dipose of my information. Mr. Chip Jones continued to try to persuade me and I warned him that I was calling my credit card companies to put a block on my accounts and lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Thanks for posting this information. Add my experience to the list and the names will hopefully help.

877-317-6098 is a cust serv # for "Money Works". Initially, automated calls come from Versa Debt 678-741-5400, however, they call themselves "Financial Protection Center".  They offer to reduce your credit card rate, saving you at least $4000 or they'll refund your money.  (Versa Debt may have operated as "Clear Breeze Solutions").  If they can, they'll charge your credit card $990 with the charge going through under the name of "Newport Equity Solutions".  There's a no cancellation policy.  Check BBB Atlanta,GA for info on Versa Debt and Clear Breeze Solutions...unsatisfactory ratings.  Once they get you for the $990, paperwork comes from Money Works asking for personal data so they can work up a plan. Am gathering info to help someone... If they aren't being scammed, then I'd say it's a rip off or very sketchy operation.  Nanna
