If they show up to inspect the roof, call the cops as it is criminal tresspass and scam.
Optum Rx is a legitimate medicine supplier but with huge cautionary note, unless your health insurance allows them to contact you and are a provider they have no business calling you. It may be a spoofed number as I am now evidently getting calls from my own phone number and they are spoofing my number to get acess the lousy stinking b*****d telemarketers  or foreign out of country sob's.

You got it right. They are a call center for local contractors, usually, schlock outfits operating out of their homes and uninsured. No reputable business would deal with these types of call centers. Oh, BTW, if they are calling on behalf of a local contractor (and steering you to one is the same thing), they are required to follow the DNC llist.

I received a call at my job from a Kelly Brook saying that they need to speak to my supervisor regarding a formal claim.  She says the name of the company is Comprehensive.  Is that even a company name??? Really. Saying that when this "person" calls us back she should give us a claim #.  Also I heard a lot of back ground noise.  Sounds like tellamarketers to me. The ph# to this company is 1-877-318-4984.

Hmmm, expired certificate on that site. Sure sign of a scam, probably an infected site as well.

Does lying on the internet pay well, "Heather"? Too bad sites like this make it tough to find victims on the phone to steal from. Too bad for you that is.

One thing that a lot of people do not know is that there is both a federal AND state registry, and you must sign up with both. Additionally, there are businesses that are exempt such as non-profits and (surprise-surprise) political fundraisers. You may also be called by businesses you have done work with in the past, signed a waiver for (you know those "free drawings" at trade shows?), Or agreed to something online. How often do we REALLY read the fine print or terms and conditions of things?? Usually, if you say." I am nt interested, please add me to your do not call list." most telemarketers will happily oblige.  They dont want to waste their time either. Keep in mind, saying "im not interested" does not mean you will be added to their DO NOT CALL list. You have to actually say it.

You can call it anything you want as long as you include the word SCAM because that's exactly what it is.

So judging from your post, this site must be making it hard to trick honest people out of money -- GLAD TO HEAR IT!

Better get back to the boiler room now before your crack pipe gets cold!

First off there is no such thing as Storm emergency crews! if you were actually listening to them on the call you would have understood that they are best service provided to Homeowners in storm effected areas! Ha you have not even a clue of the company name although they tell you in the beginning of the call.  I have dealt with this company personally and they have help me and I'm sure thousands. They got my no good Ins company approve my roof after they denied me. There are companies doing the right right thing its up to you to hear it out.

What a Bozo! Sites like this one are necessary for the tens of thousands of us who are sick of receiving 800 calls from UNKNOWN callers. I just answered the 3rd one today and it was from the clowns you think so highly of. If you don't agree with people who are sick of receiving calls at all hours of the day and night from telemarketers, don't go on the site. If you want to say something positive about the company then do it, but don't criticize those who are sick of these jerks calling. I'm one of the lucky ones who is free of weather related damage, but if I had any there are plenty of repair companies I can call or better yet my insurance company will handle it. Iff your insurance company doesn't hadle it you may want to find another one. We had a disaster caused by a house sitter and our insurance handled everything. A neighbors house just burned down and their insurance handled everything. So why do we need telemarketers calling or b****eads like you supporting them!

Maude, there seems to be a gigantic misconception about the NCL -- that it somehow is able to "prevent calls from getting through."  As others have posted here, the NCL is kind of like a speed limit sign on the highway -- the law abiding folks observe it, others ignore it. Honest telemarketers (there are still a few, I think) observe the NCL, crooks and scammers couldn't care less about it.

I have a do not call line
Unknown called from a local number
Made an appointment even though I know the roof is OK
Got to thinking - they could cause damage while looking, possibly on purpose
Called local number back 10 minutes later and was informed that it had been disconnected.  WTH??
Called published company number 888-407-2701 and cancelled the appointment by confirmation number.
The lady was courteous and only asked why.
We'll see if anyone shows up.

If you say you did business with them.....tell us about yourself.  When did they do business, where is your home, how much did you pay, who did you deal with, what type of contract was there???
Remember, everyone, check on any company with the Better Business Bureau www.bbb.org and be sure to get references from any firm.  Storm chasers are very prevalent today.

Received calls on both lines at same time on 12/19/11 wanting to do roof assessment for weather related storm damage!  Sales woman (not lady) said they would be in area assessing storm damage.  Told her that they had already called on 11/29/11 and I told them not interested, that our numbers are on Do Not Call List and they were supposed to have removed both from their list of numbers to call.  WOMAN said didn't have to follow Do Not Call rules because they weren't selling anything.  Per their web site http://weatherdamageservices.com/ they come out, do not go on roof, call insurance and "At that point we will fill out what we call a "Contigency Agreement". This Agreement plainly states that if after the inspection the adjuster feels there isnt enough damage to constitute a new roof you are under NO liability to anyone. If the adjuster and the agent feel like there is enough damage to constitute a new roof than you will use one of our qualified "LOCAL" contractors to do the job. In the initial appointment that is it, very simple."  I am sure they are getting paid by contractor(s) to find them jobs SO THEY ARE selling service and should have to follow Do Not Call rules.
My adivice: Call Your insurance company if you suspect there is roof damage and don't get involved with 3rd party.

obviously crooked since they ignore the do not call list.  Claim to be from "Weather Damage Services," though I'm guessing it's some crook who sells leads to crooked roofers.

You're an idiot & probably a fraudster yourself.  The company calls repeatedly via robo-dial, & usually hangs up when answered, which indicates they aren't even hiring enough people to keep up with their own robots.  Next time you feel like making a post that criticizes elders for not wanting thieves to waste their time, I suggest that you instead stop, reconsider, and stuff your head back up your rear end where it can stay safe and warm.
