Well girls & Boys -yesterday I posted - as above - and today I get another call from these scum bags. Today the call came in at 10AM on Wednesday June 11/2014.

Hi Girls & boys -- well you also got a call from this number and are checking like I did - I got a call from this number to an Ottawa, Ont. number - I did not answer because of the strange number. These robo calls just bother us to no end,. wish we could stop them. Perhaps if anyone could find out the number to Bell Canada's CEO and call him at home he would see how much of a bother it is to receive these calls and STOP THEM.

If you hit the ## key until it hangs up --- their computer will drop you out of their system for a while ... the computer doesn't know that sound.  Works great for me at the office & at home.  If you don't the computer continues to dial you to find out when you answer the call so a person can call you back when you are home.

I've been instructed to not answer toll free, out-of-province and out-of-country calls.
Just prior to this number calling, our office had a call come in from Quebec 514 673 0390.
Each afternoon this week - March 17 to today - these two numbers appear on our company's call display.
No message is left by either one

This is the 4th time in recent days that they have called me.  I contacted the CRTC today, March 19.

This caller ALSO called our place of business...disruptive.  There should be a law against telemarketers. The way i look at it.. if it is something I want, I will Call YOU.. otherwise leave me alone.  These days, anything you want, you look it up on the internet.  perhaps they should put their resources into a website or those annoying pop ups, they would probably have a better success rate!

Just called me a few minutes ago, from American Express, asking for the business owner.  I said they not in yet, then she just hang up on me.

I too would like to know how to stop telemarketers on our cell phones.  Never, never answer them...

They continue to call my place of work. When I answer they hang up. This happens at different times throughout the day.

Same number called me again.

Answered this call to my business. They were trying to sell me a card for my business. My number is on the national do not call list so I was surprised to even receive this call. As it turns out though, the current regulations don't apply to businesses. So while my personal numbers have been applied to the national DNC list, I can only request that each person remove me from both of their lists. You'll notice each telemarketer will tell you which location they are calling from followed by on whoms' behalf. So by saying "both" of your lists you ensure that neither will call you back after 30 days has elapsed. That being said, the person I spoke with was extremely pleasant and peaked my curiosity. I'm too leary to give personal information out but I had her send me an email. Turns out they had a decent offer and you can sign up through the web. Anyway, I hope that solves the great mystery for everyone else.

This is from American Express.  They call, then hang up as you answer it

I get at least 2 phone calls from this number everyday .... it's just an inconvenience, would love to have it stopped.

As well I've been keeping a record of when and from where these calls have been coming from.  Going back to 2010, Amex has been calling all too often.  Got to speak to a few people regarding the calls, asked to be put on a do not call list and I keep getting pushy reps who don't want to talk.

Received another call just a few minutes ago, nobody on the line.  Called the number back and left a detailed message.  Doesn't seem to work.

I answered the call and to my suprise there was a human on the other end.
He (Andrew) said he was calling from 'Minacs' on behalf of AMEX and wanted to speak to the business owner.

I asked for a call back # and was given 1-855-247-7341.

I politely asked him to remove my number from their call list.
He said he would and informed me the call is being recorded, so there will be a record, and the removal will take about 30 days.

My notes show multiple calls from this number at the beginning of 2012.
I did call the number back at that time and left a message to be removed but I didn't actually speak to anyone.

Got a call from this number. Nobody was on the line.

These guys were trying to pitch to my small business an AmEx card processing service.  

They gave their name as "Minacs" (?) which is odd as that's the name of a nearby call center but they do inbound tech support and no outgoing sales as far as I know.  Either way, I'll be putting this number in as a complaint on the Do-Not-Call joke list.

Thank you for your information. This has been driving me crazy. It's really hard to do your job sometimes with all the rediculess calls. It waists are time when we have more important things to do.

My apologies for the US DoNotCall Registry disallowing your number. The Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. Adding your Canadian number to the US Registry will not stop abusive telemarketers or scammers operating in the US from calling you. Here in the US, we have the same problem with scammers from India, Nigeria, Jamaica, etc., via Skype and spoofing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_spoofing compounds the problem. Though this may violate the Canadian Code of Good Conduct, may I suggest a whistle, air horn or screaming smoke alarm to greet your caller with?

I am going to try this because we can not enter our area code on the US DNCL. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?sid=d1e37&id=d1e152  I'm going to mail a complaint to the FCC and see what happens next. I have dates and times recorded to send from Aug16/11 to now. I"ll let everyone know how it goes. I will let them know that we CANADIANS can not register on their DNCL so what else are we to do to stop the US TELEMARKETERS from harassing us.

I have these area codes that keep calling constantly. I have a do not answer list. 607,512,514,425,613fax,303,603,866,867,206,231,617,702,877,231. this is rediculess. I've been trying to figure out how to get it to stop.
