We received a text message on our cell phone saying to call Chase at (877)318-7191 right away concerning recent account activity.  When you dial the number, a recorded greeting indicates it is Chase and it asks you to enter your 16 digit credit card number.  I called Chase and found out this is a scam.

I got same message too...I called chase customer service and took care of it. I think they want to verify some information about recent transaction.

This is a scam, they take your bank card number and destroy your account.

I just got this same message. It also gives a web site as JPM_EFS@myaccount.chase.com/
I did not try to go on the site...I also called Chase and they said it is not their number.

Yes, my mother just received this text aswell.  I thought it was very fishy because my mom's cell # isnt even listed anywhere in Chase's databases.  Total Scam.  That number probably doesn't work because someone disabled it.

I also got this weird text but I don't even have a Chase account. So I never returned the text and checked online instead.

Sat night about 7:30 PM. I received a tex message saying i needed to call 1-877-318-7191 about my Chase bank activity. I don't give out my cell # to any one as it's for my use only.
I think it may have came fron the UK ?

Received a text message on my cell phone saying to call 877-318-7191 immediately about recent activity on my Chase account.  I closed my Chase account many months ago and should not be receiving texts from them, especially on a phone number I never gave them. Probably a scam.
