Called my cell phone at 10:42 MST. Said call immediately regarding recent restrictions on my account and cannot call back.

I didn't receive a phone call but I DID receive multiple texts!! The first one saying that something was up with my credit.. nothing about a credit card, just my credit.. then a couple weeks later another text from a DIFFERENT number saying something about my card being blocked, needing to email them, call them, or text them back.. I immediately called my phone company and there are so many reports of this... It IS A SCAM!!! Don't TRUST THEM!!!!!

It's a scam. Check out SooperCU.org. It's a Colorado based credit union, but the texts show the text came from an Illinois area code. Little boogers.

I get this message too. The "reply to" I get is 3033899850@sooper.org

whois.com lists that domain registrant / administrator (sooper.org) as Michael Payne, 195 15th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215, 1-917-331-0565

I received a text on 3-25-2009 saying:

I also received one on 3-17-2009 inwhich I already reported.

Received a Text message on my cell, as above, re: restriction on my account with Sooper C.U.,,, I don't have an account with them, but DO conduct some of my C.U. business with them. Am going to Sooper CU and show the local branch manager the message, and see what they advise. At least let them know that such is happening, and they need to inform their clients and customers to be aware of this phish text messaging.

I got a text from 303.389.9850 from SooperCU saying that my card 4194-57XX-XXXX has been locked and to call 866.695.8794.  This is the 2nd time I have gotten this same message.  I called it, it said all lines were busy.  I'm glad that I found this site when I Googled Sooper.org.  This is ridiculous, why hasn't the FCC tracked this down yet?  I'm going to call and file a complaint, it shouldn't be too difficult for them trace these people.

yea im 12 and i talked to my dad about this because i have gotton 6 of these texts and they say what they say above..... a few days ago i got a scam from arapahoe credit union. ANOTHER SCAM!!!!!

Whoops. Above, I meant BY returning text messages.  And, I meant Sprint is my carrier.

This jerk (or jerks) is now sending his scam with text messages reading they are from Arapahoe Credit Union.  Someone earlier wrote this person may get funds my returning text messages.  Otherwise I wonder how they could get funds from the scammed?  I doubt anyone is so dim as to call back and give a credit or debit card number.  This hacker somehow acquired our cell phone numbers.  So we must all have some place in common who has our numbers.  Spring is my carrier. It's just annoying.  Especially if the tm wakes you up...

Received text over the weekend on 3/17 from 303-376-8533 and from SooperCU stating to call back and receive reason why card was blocked.  Do not have account or card with this credit union.

my spouse and I recieved the same text messages on our phones, no SooperCU cards for us either.

I got one today and I looked up the company and they have a place on the site that says they don't ask for personal info and if anyone is asking to report it to them.. I sent them an email and this is the repsonse.. if you want call or email her as well..

A text came in from 3608 saying Sooper CU locked your card & to call them immediately. I dont even have a Sooper CU account DONT CALL THEM THIS IS VERY SUSPICIOUS!!!

I got the same message text today from 303 376 8533 somethis is not right I have since deleted it.

The number is linked on one web page to "DR. JAMIE FETTIG", a motivational speaker who has delivered over 700 presentations. And as if that wasn't enough, someone who can get you a great sub-prime mortgage, probably provide you with pills to help your libido and set you up with Amway. Quite the Renaissance man!

So either the guy is initiating the scam or someone else is using the good doctor's phone number for his scam. If that's the case, I wonder why I don't feel sorry for him...

Received a text message from 3033768533@sooper.org.  Same thing as everyone else, message says "SooperCU locked your card".  Another guy in the office here got the same message simultaneously. Someone told him if you text back your phone might be charged $20-40 for the text.  Clearly a scam going on.

I received this same message on my phone from SooperCU that they locked my card...I don't have a card or an account with SooperCU.
