Interesting?I believe I am going to seek legal counsel against DSL and the people who used my information to get a loan.

These people started calling me and I never signed a paper/contract or gave verbal permission or talked to anyone nothing! Nothing!

And yes this is fraud being committed against me! As far as I am concerned!

I receive calls constantly for a loan I consigned.  The signer is never notified and no payment is due.  How do you stop the harassment?

It would appear that : (a) the calling is pure harassment since it is commission base product
                                  (b) Since DFL LLC is not responsible for the actions of its employees, the matter should be reported to the Federal regulators for fraud.

It is the law that harassing phone calls are illegal.

Re student loan manager with an attitude:
Your treading on the border line of illegal blackmail. If I was the student who receives such an e-mail, I would contemplate possible charges of fraud and illegal phone harassment.
You may be employed, but you are certainly over indulgent with your attitude and treat of blackmail should results in a demotion to the unemployment.

It's an automated call genius. If you call Discover's Customer Service line and set up payments (and actually follow through and pay them) the calls stop.

They have been calling me daily even though I don't have any student loans.  Finally called them back and told them to stop calling.  I just want to know how they got my number in the first place.

Also, I don't think you're bragging about how much money you are paid to harass the less fortunate is really going to help your argument. Getting paid a lot of money does not mean that you are necessarily better educated or more intelligent. Many people who are more well educated and whose occupations require a lot more skill (and tact) get paid a lot less. Even more people who are well educated and skilled are simply out of work right now because there aren't jobs in their fields.

I really don't understand why you are being so malicious and rude. Does DSL really condone your being rude and abusive to patrons? It's no wonder people don't want to answer the phone when you call if that's the way you speak to them. Perhaps if you were polite and spoke to people like they actually were human beings you might be able to get a productive conversation out of them. People don't stop paying their loans simply because they decide it would be fun, they do so because they are in financial difficulty. Also, just a note: if you call people from an unlisted number and don't leave a message identifying yourself they won't answer and they won't know to call you back. If you leave a message saying who you are and why you are calling people might be able to call you back. I have stopped answering merely because there seems to be no point in talking to you. I'm not late on payments. You have received my payments like clockwork 2 days before the due date every month and my account confirms that you have received all my payments. Even so I continue to get calls (as do my family and friends) because you claim that my contact information is out of date. I have confirmed my mailing address at least 3 times over the phone and innumerable times online and you obviously have my phone number as you keep using it. Beyond that I don't know what you want from my life and answering the phone doesn't seem to solve the problem. I have, as you so pointedly put it, dealt with this like an adult however you don't seem interested in taking your own advice.

How would you go to school with out a loan? Yeah grants and [removed:lang] can help and we tell you that when you apply for a loan. We ask you to exhaust all options first before considering a private loan and then everyone just says that have to get it over with fast. Btw I'm 135 Lbs, not fat, and this job pays amazing with amazing benefits. Im pretty sure before my commissions I would make 3 times more than you would in a year. $37.20 an hour and $1500 incentives every two weeks for top collectors. I'm pretty sure that is over $80,000 a year. I honestly DONT GIVE A [removed:lang] if you answer or not. I have the ability to help or destroy your whole entire future.

You shouldn't say that about us because we are not the ones unemployed and can't make payments on our student loans. You have to have a college degree to work here and it's abviously something you don't have any grasp on. We call you so that we can save you money. If you're 60 days past due, you bassically [removed:lang] up your credit for life. No one will ever loan to you again if we report on your credit. Anyways. Stop being stupid and deal with your problems like an adult.

Find another bank to get loans from, it seems that Discover likes to employ idiots who don't know how to do their jobs. No one is on the same page, i continually get conflicting information from their representatives and their management could care less. Bunch of incompetents working over there.

Have been receiving calls for ever and ever.  They use different #'s to call from.  I only answered this AM @ 8:00, because I was expecting a call to confirm a service tech.  No name on caller ID.  I normally don't answer unknown callers.  I don't even know what their problem is, but I'm really tired of getting these calls!!

Constantly calling twice a day, skipping weekends. Calls during early morning hours (1am, 2am), and basically any time of the day (9am, 2pm). Very annoying.
