These people are a SCAM DO NOT DO THIS!

We were offered the $88 dollar cruise from US travel group.  Also know as Star Vaction Club, Incentive Marking Group, Travel Service Network, and Travel Services.  We were told we only had to pay $88 and there were no other charges, no port fees or taxes.  We were STUPID and believed him.  Come to fine out there are FOR SURE port fees and taxes ranging from $90 to $120 per person which was admited to us by another agent Jason Williams.  He said we were informed of those fees when we signed up.  WE WERE NOT and we asked specifically those question to another agent named David.   Our credit card company allows only 3 months to dispute the charge.  US travel group has that planned out.  You have one month to get more people involved then you can't book the cruise for 60 days.  There goes that 3 months.  Thanks to all the complaints online we got out before the 3 months.  Now we just have the hassle of filling out the dispute form for the credit card company.

I received the call today. The caller ( Joshua James ) at 877-321-6362 stated that it was a free cruise on carnival, carribian, or Norwegian cruise lines, to be used within 18 months, no black-out dates, a cabin and all food and activities included. He said I needed to pay $88 per person - per cabin today to lock in the offer. Supposedly I filled out a drawing application (I don't think so). I guess I'll have to pass, if there is no imperical evidence that this is up and up.

the phone number we were given to call for free cruise was 800-309-6196...also YTH but acronym on their answering service was "Your trouble headquarters"  we spoke to a rep who told us we would pay $88 pp covering taxes for a cruise- we did not sign up for this when I googled the name I found this was a scam.  also, later in day their name changed to your travel headquarters.

I dont think its a scam if they are only accepting credit cards. i mean if you are a consumer then you are protected by the consumer protection act. This ensures that any consumer that purchases something with a credit card is protected of any fraudulent charges. if it was a scam then they would most likely ask for money upfront, and more than 88 dollars upfront to make it worth wild.

Well it looks like Ms. Madeline Allerton and her cronies and DBA's (TSN International, Star Vacation Club, VRM Management, Inc., Star Vacations, Harbor Resort Management) have developed a new LATEST AND GREATEST scam in line with the tough economic times.

DO NOT fall for Your Travel Headquarters "taxes only" cruise packages.  They sell you the cruise and then you get an AWARD Voucher in the mail that you have to try to collect from Incentive Marketing Group...google that one.

These guys are slick... thank goodness they have a lawyer with them in the same building in Batavia.

Oh, just a side note...a quick check of the BBB Batavia report as of this date 9/24/09 has the parent company rated as an F with 138 complaints registered in the past 18 months.  HOW MANY MORE have been scammed but do not register their complaints. This new one already had 6 since April.

Make the right choice and stay away from YOUR TRAVEL HEADQUARTERS and any other DBA company they use to scam.

Thanks to the folks in Batavia for taking advantage of families looking to have some quality of life during tough times.

Got the Call... listened to the trained talker. As he's talking start to google all the info he is giving me. All I have to say is, "God Bless Google!" When I started feeling fishy about the situation and told the guy I had to do some more research he says "good luck"! Not as in best wishes, good luck, but more of a Taken (movie with liam nieson) good luck. SCAM! dont get fooled... google that s***.

I believe their agents are falsifying the taxes and port fee charges for the 3-day cruise from Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico. I am told I have to pay $176 taxes and $275.06 port fees for 2 people in order to travel on this cruise. That adds up to more than I would pay total (cruise, taxes and fees) if I were to book this cruise directly with Carnival Cruise Lines. I checked with Carnival and they charge only $44.03 total per person for taxes and port fees. It has been 6 months since I signed up for this cruise and I still don't have a cruise date. They refuse to refund the taxes I paid for or confirm a date without me paying the port fees up front. I doubt there is any cruise. Don't fall for this one!

also got a call from Your Travel Headquarters (aka: YTH) telling me i had "won" a contest for a "free" cruise. i asked when i had signed up for the contest as i'm not keen on signing up for those sorts of things and was told that they didn't know and if i didn't want the "free" cruise they could give it to someone else. so i said to tell me more about the cruise. of course, the cruise would cost me $88 per person plus port fees. i asked when i would have to pay and i was told that i would have to pay first then they would send me the forms to register for the cruise of my choice. i was told "you don't get the pizza before paying" so a light bulb in my head said SCAM and i told the guy i wasn't interested. he said i should listen better next time. what a jerk! anyway i think this is definitely a scam. first, horrible attitude from the representative. second, you should never have to pay for something you've supposedly won. third, you should never have to pay before even getting the registration forms. and finally, the Better Business Bureau can't even verify that they are a legitimate company. i hope these guys get caught before too many people get screwed!

I recieved a phone call stating I'd won a free cruise due to a raffle type drawing. Your Travel Headquarters stated they were offering a promotional package. The cost would be $88.00 per person. Has anyone actually gone on this cruise? Or is this definitely a scam as I am almost positive it is.
