Got this same pitch about winning one of four prizes, didn't catch the guys name on my voicemail but the number he left was 866-908-2330 didn't call it don't plan too either but will report it to the FTC since it sounded like he may have gotten my number from the DNC list (he explicitly mentioned they knew i was on it and wouldn't be calling if it wasn't legit) riiiight let me get right on that

My father also got a call from these people saying he was won 1 of 4 prizes is it a scam?
| Sheila 2011-06-06 21:04:17 Unknown |
Got a call from this number about a prize for a contest I don't remember entering, although I may have (at a mall). They said there was no financial obligation, but I had to show up in person at a nearby town to collect the prize (and would anyone ever hear from me again?). The choice of speaker for the message was excellent--female, no accent, very articulate and warm.

This call is to "win" a Lincoln Navigator. My husband and I responded to one of these scams in the past and actually went to "claim" our prize. It ended up being a high pressure sales meeting for discount vacations (essentially timeshares). On the way out they give you a scratch card for a CHANCE to win the car and of course we did not. Don't bite on this one, it's not worth it!

Same crap about "winning" a 2010 Lincoln Navigator and it was in my best interest to call back asap. Call came from 773-944-1596 and wanted me to call 877-325-3958. Screw you "Paul Kelly" and your employer. I hope you all die slow painful deaths. Get a real job.

I am on the DNC registry also but it didn't stop Paul Kelly calling to let me know I was 1 of 4 Grand Prize Winners for a Lincoln or $45,000. The same 773 number on my caller ID and the same 877 call back number. I too am glad I found this site.

Same as 'scammed in nc' but this time it was a "4th of July Giveaway"! I submitted a complaint to the FCC, this website is for all spam on wireless devices: emails, text msgs, voicemails, unwanted calls.

got a call from 773 491 7978 which showed on caller ID as prize claim. I didn't pick up, so Paul Kelly left a message saying my contest subission was chosen and that i had won one of four prizes, an suv or $ 45,000 cash. told me to call back as soon as possible to 877 325 3958. I didn't do it of course, but found this site instead. Glad i did. I'm unlisted and on the DNC registy by the way.

Got a call on my machine today. Paul Kelley, same information. called the # back, was scratchy, could not even hear the ringing. He called my cell back within 5 minutes. Same story, I had won one of 4 prizes from a contest I entered through 123 Free Travel.com and I was to attend a presentation to learn about the company. The scary thing is he had my phone number and address!! Told him no. I was not interested. Thank goodness for this site!!

I received a call from a Paul Kelly as well, just a few minutes ago...he asked for myself, but I told him that the person he was asking for no longer had this number. The actual number that called was 773-491-7978. I told him I would take a msg and asked what company he worked for...he said the National Prize Claim Center. And that the person he was calling for entered a contest anywhere from 18 months-1 year ago...the 877-325-3958 was the number he left for a call back. Same story as everyone else...not falling for it. If I won such an elaborate prize and actually entered the contest then you should have my address and you can hand deliver my prize to me, lol!

Just as we thought -- ONLY THE EMPLOYEES GET A PRIZE everybody else does indeed get screwed.
At least we don't have a "job" that requires us to come on this board and LIE like you!

March 15 @ 2:48 pm "This is Paul Kelly promotion manager here at the National Prize Claim Center calling for Jennifer Murphy. Jennifer your entry form has been picked as a grand prize winner for a sport utility vehicle or 45,000 in cash. So congratulations you are a guaranteed winner. It is in your best interest to call us as soon as possible to claim your prize." Well...sounds great..right? I left two messages so far with no reply? I saved the recording on my voice mail. Sure would like to stick it to them if this is fraud! I wonder what one could do?

Received message from "Angie Lopez" indicating winnings, etc. also from Plymouth, MA Returned call and left word...no response as yet. Can't wait to drive in my new navigator, spending the $2,500 case while watching my new TV. Boy am I lucky. Will let everyone know when I've picked up my winnings.

I went to Plymouth & did not bite by buying the membership for $9,000 which they wanted that day. I did apply for my free gift but am still waiting. When I called that number back to inquire I got Julian & left 2 messages. He has not responded. 774 306 1717. I'll bet that they have moved from Plymouth. When I did not buy they let me out the loading dock door so I could not discourage any new fishes.

Got a message from Angie Lopez, other name was Julian. Started off with "This is not a Sales Call or Scam". Said we may have won a Lincoln Navigator or TV. Didn't say who the message was for, though. Said we had until Sunday (today's Thursday) to claim our prize in Plymouth, which is 40 minutes away. Haven't entered a contest like this. The above link to the article in the Lincoln Times seems to sum up pretty well these shenanigans.
Oh well.
