This number calls my phone 4-5 times per day. I answered a couple of times but all that happens is what sounds like someone touching a number as it just gives a quick tone and then disconnects. The caller display is weird. This is what shows:

This number calls regularly, and this morning it happened at 7:17 a.m.  No one is in the office at that time, not that it matters - there's never anyone on the line anyway.  They tend to call over the noon hour as well.

Incredibly irritating either way.  Must be nice to have enough money to just randomly make useless and unproductive calls!

If you stay on the line long enough, someone picks up.  I was sick of their daily call, so I decided to wait.  My call was about Governing magazine.

Calls our company every 2  and hangs up. When I call return it a recorded message says they are a free publication and try to follow calling rules so please leave your number to be removed. We've done that several times.

I echo everything that Jake said, except now their outgoing message is using a white woman's voice.  These are very annoying calls indeed.  Geez.

Like everyone here, right, they don't leave a voicemail on your phone. If you call that number back (smarter from ANOTHER line since, remember your phone number will almost always show when calling a toll-free number!),  then THEIR outgoing message is a black woman's voice saying "We are a  free subscription service...." etc.

They're just selling magazines or something. Not a good way to do business. They're probably using this technique to phish out true phone numbers from some database. I'm betting they even take advantage of people's toll-free numbers, calling their businesses ...for free (meaning you pay)....but not sure if others have had that happen (where they call in on your own toll-free line).

So I wouldn't say it's a "scam" per se, but it's just some small business that doesn't care how it makes its sales or gets its numbers. Who knows MAYBE it's not even a business selling magaizines but MIGHT be (as is the case nowadays) a company that other company's hire to "VERIFY" phone numbers from Direct Marketers who want to "clean their lists" by verifying phone numbers. I mean, honestly, who's gonna call back pissed, find out they sell some dumb magazine, and say "oh sorry, yes I WANT that!"....unlikely. These are just my thoughts and opinions of course, but also my experience.

Clarification: This number called, I answered, and no answer or response from the caller. Good website, what are we to do with these postings?

I get at least one call per day from this number. No one is EVER on the other end. I pick it up every time now, hoping there will be someone on the other end, so I can insist that they remove my number from their call list. No luck so far. Glad to see I'm not the only schmoe these people are bothering.

What's the deal here!  I'm a very busy person. Why do these people keep calling my business phone and never say a word? The best thing to do I guess is to look at the caller ID. If it's the same 1-877 number, don't answer.  Get a life people!

This number called several time with an "Unknown Name" ID then switched to the 877-327-6291.  They called with the name of an old employee and then "demanded" the name of his replacement, I aske why and they continued w/ the demand so I hung up.

They call twice a day - once before 8AM CST and once after 3PM CST.  Never leave a voice mail.  When I answer the phone there is a dead line for a few seconds then its like a call center comes on line.

Claimed to be from a free med tech magazine company, yet asks questions, such as for email, FAX #, city of birth, all of which I refused to answer. Was hung up on when I refused to answer where I was born...

They did not state who they were or what company they were with when first called either...

Said they were recording the call so they could verify they talked to me... I never consented.

I get a lot of free magazines, but have never been called or asked for ANY info like this & why record to send me their free magazine???

I'd suggest not answering, or simply hanging up  if these people call.
