I'll bet while you are on hold, they are whooping it up because for the second time today somebody answered their phone!! And those scammers are not used to that!! HA HA HA HA !!!!

the same thing just happened to me i waited on hold then it hung up weird guess they don't "really" want to talk to me just want to make me wait on hold!

If you want them to stop calling you, once and for all, you need to send them registered mail stating that you request all correspondence via telephone to stop immediately. Clearly state that you do NOT want them calling you, what the phone number is that they are calling, and they you want communications from them done via mail.

Once you've done that, they legally have to stop calling you. They are then forced to send any correspondence via mail to the person they are calling about to the address they have on file for that person.  

If they continue to call you after receiving the letter, it is then considered harassment and you can sue them. That is what I have been told by a lawyer anyways.

The same thing goes for any collection agency calling you. It doesn't matter if you're the person owing the debt or not, they have to abide by your request to only send mail as opposed to calling you if you've sent them a letter via registered mail requesting they stop.

It is a collection agency that buys debt from other collection agencies.

We have this number 877-330-2286 call many times, including before 8:00PM; No one answered when we pick up the phone; just a voice saying: this call is important, please do not hang up. Then after 30 seconds the line dropped.

The cell phone for my 13 yr old son has been getting the same calls for the last few weeks (sometimes as many as 5 a day) from these MORONS. I called them back and actually talked to someone who hung up on me THREE times in a row because I wanted to know what the nature of the company was, and what they would want with a 13 yr old kid. I wanted to know this simple information before I gave them my 13 yr old cell phone number but was told they don't have time to deal with me if I wouldn't give them the phone number to start with. These "Collection Agents" I think are nothing more than a shake down crew. I will try again later when the idiot who hung up on me 3 times isn't on the phone and try to get some real answers but I think that I might just have to resort to reporting them to the police for harassment. There ought to be an agency to report this too, isn't there.

jusqu'à peu près vers 7:30 P.M. tous les soirs. Je peux vous dire que j'ai écris à la G.R.C. au département
des fraudes et ils ont le dossier en main.
Tout semble croire c'est un genre de fraude car ce numéro de téléphone correspond à une compagnie
de collections qui est CBV Collections et qui correspond à une entreprise de recouvrements située
à Laval, Québec.

SOOO I called the number again (1-877-330-2286 - Which is CBV Collections), and a lady by the name Mina answered with Employee number: E1. She said that the number has been removed already from the list. THEN I gave her the name of the person that they were looking for "Justin Badding" and she said they had more than one account, and that my number was only removed from 1 of the 3 accounts. She said that she has removed my number from all 3 accounts now and should NOT recieve any further phone calls after 24 hours. We shall see.

I have had this number call me in total probably 20 times. THREE times I have spoken to a repsresentaive saying that I have removed my number from the list as they don't have the right person and they still continue to call. At first, the first lady told me that it takes 24 hours to be removed, yet I have been called at least 6 times since. 3 weeks or so after I FIRST removed myself.

NOW, I get their call, press 3, then hear a beep (like on a voice mail machine) and that is it. TWO days in a row now. the two days prior, I missed thier call. They call ALL the damn time.

I know... the exact same thing to me. it is really realy annoying. Did you get any solutions

i have gotten 24 calls in 3 days from this number, i have asked them to remove my number three times and they now hang up when i ask to talk to some one...they are also looking for someone who doesnt live here or ever has and they tried looking for the same person last year.

I just called this number and was surprised to get a live person after pressing zero.  She asked for my number and gave me the name of the person they are looking for.  We have had this number for 4.5 years, so there is no reason for this error.  The lady I spoke with said she would remove our number.  I am hopeful, but like another poster... we shall see.

I have been getting calls from this company now for several weeks; 7 in the past 2 days and frankly I have had enough of these constant interruptions. Apparently they are looking for someone with a similar name and want more info about their whereabouts even though this has absolutely nothing to do with me. Even when I try to block their calls they simply come up with another number and the calls contnue. How can these calls be legal and if not, where can I report them?

FDC....collection agency calling my cell phone looking for the wrong person. Have pressed 3 to confirm that they have the wrong person , goes to an agent, told them they have the wrong person , hung up on me. Called them back and spoke to "brian"....said he removed me...we shall see.
