Trident Financial is no longer in business.  The partners split up last October 2012.  Then went to Johnston & Associates till a few months ago.

They're SCAMMERS who need to be thrown in PRISON!!! I hope they get theirs. They called last year and MY DAD paid these a***oles! Now there calling again, saying I owe MORE money. No they're scum, so if you paid them you're an idiot, or you are working with them. I've called my local sheriff's department. My bank has done an investigation and said it was scam artists. So HAHHHAHAHAHAHAH! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. OH YEAH THEIR NEW BUISNESS NAME IS JOHNSON AND ASSOCIATES!!! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY EITHER!!!

They've been calling from a couple of numbers. I think they want to leave a message but for some reason never actually do because when I answer it they I hear talking and then a hangup. Anyway, I did get a recording once for Trident and called them back. First two times the minute I asked them to provide something in writing they just hung up. The third time they apologized, confirmed my mailing address, and gave me a bogus fax number to send a cease and desist letter. End of the day, it's a scam.

TRIDENT FINANCIAL NETWORK keeps calling me and asking for someone i don't know. They say they will take me off the list but never does because they keep calling me. They are calling my work cell phone number.

I just filed a complaint with the BBB and the Florida AG's office.  Scams like this must stop.  By law, they NEED to provide you with:
1)PROOF that this debt legally exists.That means actual SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION of YOURS that this debt is owed.
2) The ORIGINAL DEBTOR AND THEIR MAILING ADDRESS
3)THE AMOUNT CLAIMED OWED including how any interest may have been factored.
4)PROOF THAT their COMPANY OWNS THIS DEBT and or CAN LEGALLY ATTEMPT TO COLLECT this illegal and alleged debt.

By law when requested, they NEED to provide ALL FOUR of the above.  They cant, they wont.  Let them make idol threats, that is all they are. Let them take you to court (they cant they wont) BUT if they do, they will have to show the judge THE SAME information.  They cant, they wont.  Case closed.

Their new number starts as 877-936- dont't remember the remainder. However, I have had calls as well that are threatening in nature. On-line, they make it appear that they are under BBB. I put a complaint in. Even if I owe through another company, their tactics are less than civil. I am also reporting them to the FTC and the consumer thrift supervision.

They also call from (832)2001759. And then Ms.Goldman is not a REAL PERSON ,"that is a recording". as I am told. Then I asked for Blake Johnstone,the person the State of Florida lists as the Principal for this Corporation. He is out of the office is what I am told. So I made a little report to Local law enforcement in Texas and they are researching this company. Shameless Collectors and no Knowledge of the REAL LAW> !!!!

They say I owe money, but won't say to whom on their message!

I get a call everyday atleast 2 or 3 times a day from these people. they never leave a message.after numerous calls to them thinking someone stole my identity i found out that someone "put my number as an emergency" so i asked them to remove it 5 different times and they still call. This is HARASSMENT!!!!

I have read your information amd your facts about debts being collected. I understand where your coming from ( TRIDENT EMPLOYEE). When real collectors call and you ask for things in black and white you receive it. With this compny it's a scam. They call you from all kinds of numbers that's not directed from their company. How in the hell you want me to believe this is who they say they are, I know for a fact that they are scam artist. Now, thanks for your input but when a company is legit you will be able to see their phone number on your id box and also have a physical address on this business. People do your homework before sending these people your money. It's holiday time.......

They constantly harrass us!

What irrates me is they do not try to get updated information about the debtor.  I bought my home 5 1/2 years ago.  This home as well as the landline are in MY name.  I continually get calls for people who lived here long before I bought the house (one individual lived here about 10 years ago!).  One agency even sent the Constable to my home.  When I told the Constable that person didn't live here and I didn't know them, he was not at all surprised.  My home was the second place he had been to that day looking for this person.  I was so irriated, I went on-line and for $2.00 found the current address and phone number for this debtor.  If these collection agencies would just do a little investigating and cough up a little money, they could find the correct person and maybe even get the debt paid....and stop bothering me!

Getting calls from Trident 877-330-4121. I owe nothing to anyone. I think they prey on disabled people.

I've been dealing with them as well, for a debt from Best Buy, which I was unable to pay being out of work.  They have settled with me and I've made arrrangements for payment.  From all these postings It must be the collection agency that Best Buy deals with.

I keep getting calls from a private number telling me to call 877-330-4120.  I have called this number and they tell me that I owe some pay day loan from my ex boyfriend because the bank account was in both our names.  All I ask from them is written proof of the debt.  They tell me that they have sent me a court summons, which they never have.  Well today I get a call and they identify themselves as county services.  They said there is a judgement against me, so I tell them that I have no idea who would have a case against me, then they tell me that I need to call the 877 number.  So when I ask them for their number to call them back, they said they are at the same number....WHAT?   So I ask what county are they in, and they said mine, and I said and what county is that, then click.  I am currently disabled, but if there is a judgement against me, then show me the documentation, let me go to court and try to work something out.  I think it's a total s am

The phone number I got is 8779261194 I believe is a scam. The Name he gave me is DON WEBER He wants me to get a credit card and give him the numbers for a dept I owe. Well I the think that is a scam because a call just like that I fell for, and it cost me 3000.00  I lookup the Phone # and it is not out there.

Agent Nina Herrell of Nat Check Fraud Center. That sounds bogus to me. Agent of what? They are just throwing out terms and catch phrases to get you upset. Look up this Nat Check Fraud Center and see if they are legit.

Send them a cease and desist letter saying to no longer contact you or friends or family members. If you still want to communicate with them state it is to be by US Postal only.

My boyfriend has been dealing with this trident financial company for couple weeks now but the number is 877-330-4121 . Now when you call the number today it's nothing but dead air , don't understand how they want money from you from a debt but never answer phone and fail to provide proof of documentation when asked..and same person as some of u guys, Michael!!

THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING ME AT MY JOB AND I HAVE TRIED TO SETTLE THIS DEBT BUT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO MAKE REASONABLE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS THEY KEEP THREATENING ME WITH LEGAL ACTION I HAVE ASKED THEM REPEATEDLY TO FILE THE PAPERS SO WE CAN SETTLE THIS IN COURT BUT THEY JUST KEEP HARASSING ME.

These people are calling friends and family members of mine at work for a loan which we paid in full.  the first person, a man, would not identify himself.  the second person, identified herself as Agent Nina Herrell of Nat Check Fraud Center being represented by Trident Network Financial.  I have asked over and over for them to send me documentation and to remove all friends work numbers from their call list.  They have also shared my personal information with friends and family.  Ridiculous!

Cooke, how much do they say you owe? If it isn't alot, say under $1000, they will just drop it because it would cost them more to sue you. BUT, your credit will take a hit.

Roxane, if they go thru the procedures to sue you someone from the court of the county you live in (usually a sheriff) will serve you a summons to appear in court. The collection  agency doesn't have any say so in how the summons gets to you. They are just trying to harrass you. If you get one, don't worry. Just follow the instructions and go thru the procedure. The judge will set something up for  in a way you can pay if the debt is legit AND the debt collection agency goes thru the trouble of sending an attorney as well. If no attorney, the judge will rule against the collection agency.

They have threatened to have me served with papers on my job.  I don't know what this is coming from
