This unscrupulous company is illegally using credit information to harass and scare innocent people. They called one of my former co-workers at home and left a message. NEVER return these calls. NEVER refer them to others. NEVER answer these calls if you see this as a caller ID.

Mr. Wang left me a message today stating that if I did not call him back that I would need to speak with a lawyer. Let me tell you that I paid off ALL debt back in February when I bought my house - I had too for obvious credit market reasons. So I am a bit concerned as to why these people would be calling me and therefore I will not call them back. Let them send me something via certified mail and then I will know it is possibly legit and will call back.

call my mother home asking for me. she told them i wasnt there, and asked what it was about. she said that she could not say because i wasnt 18 years old. so my mother called me and gave the number to me. I called this so called collection place at this number 877-334-2942.I was put on the phone with a mr. miller he said that i owed over 2,000 dollars on a credit card that i never had in my entire life. told him i was not paying for something i never had in the first place. Then all of a sudden he blows up and says that the IRS will be taking the money out of my account in a couple of days. And i said whatever bro and hung up on this stupid guy. So i had my wife give them a call back to get their address so we can give it to our lawyer and she was put on the phone with this mr. miller. My wife told him she was my wife and he asked her was she going to settle this now and she said no, but she need there address for our lawyer and he said he's not giving her any address and if we are going to sue him, that he would sue us first. And my wife just yell at this guy for a couple of mins and told him not to call our home again and we have our lawyer.

my lawyer told me that technically, if your debt is more than 7 years old, they have nothing against you UNLESS they get whats called a "judgement" or something like that where they get approval from the goct that they can take your assets. My lawyer also told me that, next time they call, let them know that the call is being recorded (even though its not) to scare them away.

got a call from "George Reasons" trying to collect an 8 year old debt. Said if we didnt pay, my mother would have trouble coming back to the states (she lives out of country). Told him that I would need to talk to my lawyer and he doubted that I even had one. Just plane RUDE, and trying to scare the crape out of you (at least I was until I talked to the lawyer). Stupid and a waste of my time.

got a call from this number as well. cnr associates. guy said he has some pre legal paperwork with my name written all over it. def. not going to call this scammer back.

I was contacted by a "Ms. Jewel" who said that she had very important information and that she needed to speak with me but that she had only a couple of minutes to talk. She asked me if I knew of a particular person, she gave the name, I said No. She said that my name, along with my mother's name were listed by these people as friends/relatives. I asked her what she was talking about, and the line was dropped. Before the line dropped, she gave me an 877#..she also gave a ref#. When the line dropped, I called back the # she had given me and a man answered and I asked to speak with "Ms. Jewel" he asked if I had a ref#. Then he asked my name, and said that the ref# given did not have my name on it. I informed him of what had happened and he said that our names and numbers would be removed from the list, he would talk to "Ms. Jewel" and that I would not be bothered again. I said Thank You.

A Mr Shelton contacted my mother about a family friend - no relation. He provided a case number and stated that it was an urgent legal matter.

I returned the call and spoke to the switchboard operator who identified the company as CR Associates. He stated that they use investigators to locate people when the phone numbers they have don't provide results. I asked where the company was located and he said Virginia Beach. I asked what type of cases they called about and his response was, "legal cases." It sounds to me like they deal with credit collections. I demanded that they remove my mother's name and contact number from their records and the switchboard operator indicated that he did.
