I can vouch for the comment about this being from T-Mobile Outbound Sales.  Upon getting the number and not answering the phone, I cam right to here to read up on it.  Originally I thought it was just another scam, since all the previous page's comments were leading to that.  Until one user stated that if you get this call, check your account.

 I just did that and found that my data usage had sky rocketed this month for some bizarre reason and I was over my 200mb limit that I have (normally I never even get past 1/2 that amount).  Called T-Mobile and sure enough something (some app) on my phone was connecting to the internet constantly and causing this to happen.  This could cost people a lot of money if they get charged for being over their data services (depending on what type they have).

 So I did not need to call back the number, but just getting that number is a warning that something is going over on your phone and you need to check your T-Mobile account to see what that is.

I just got a call from this number in this morning. But I didn't pick it up. Thank you guys for posting!

877-355-8976 is NOT NOT NOT a TMobile phone number.  They want to steal your information.  Give them nothing

Customer satification my a**.  They told me they were the department of overages.  They are lieing. I also received a call from this number and called them back.  For english press 1 then this gal comes on and wants your cell phone number. I told her you called me what did you want i did not give her my cell number.  Can't they see that on their screen (caller ID) if they were really TMobile.  She said this is the department of overages and that if i want money due back to me i would give her the info she requested.  I told her no that I have no clue if she is really TMobile so I will go down to my local TMobile store and ask them if i have an overage.  She said okay have a nice day.  WTF

I just got this same number calling me on my cell and home phone. I looked up the number and found this site and reported it. thank to you guys for posting this

Also, if you don't already have your phone number on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, you should add it.

It's a scam trying to get your information.  They say that they are t-mobile and they need your phone number to access your information.  PEOPLE are you crazy don't talk to them.  I contacted T-mobile and they don't call you from an 877 number.  you can add this number to your contact list and do a call rejection so they can no longer call you 5 times a day.  GET SMART OR GET SCAMED.

This number has called for the past three days at the same exact time: 8:30am. No message.

Received a call once for the last three days  picked up once and no one spoke.

This is a courtesy call from T-mobile outbound sales.. they normally call to let you know your over your monthly usage or there is a special in your current plan. They don't leave a message because they would prefer you don't take advantage of the special offer or know that your over your usage (actually gives them more money), and they use the call as an attempt to give you the discount you actually deserve.  Just when you see this call, check your account to see if your over anything and if it worth calling them back to make adjustment. It saved me $125 this month.

I have been receiving calls on my cell from this number too.  I answered once and the person said they were from TMobile.  I told him I would call TMobile back and he hung up.  I called TMobile and they said this number is not from TMobile.   They said they would report this number to their engineers to have it blocked because it is a possible fraud.  They warned me not to give out any information to the caller to avoid fraud issues.  Also, they said to report it to the authorities (police) and the wil ltry to track the location of the call, which is what I plan to do today.  I sent a copy of my chat w/TMobile to my email and printed a copy to give the police for backup. Got a call from them...? Courtesy call from t Mobil?, asked what it was about they just said ?courtesy call?, mentioned my dads name and asked for my social security number...I said I don't know you it what the call is about and didn't give any info...maybe my name but that's it. Scam should be shut down ASAP

unknown caller I did not answer. if its a soliated call they should not be a loud to call cel numbers.

Yeah I've got that number calling me for a while now, but never picked it up. So I decided to search the number. and I think its from t-moible too, since its my carrier sooooo yeah just felt like sharing.
