1-877-338-3496 despite earlier posts above this is not a collection number nor is it a Microsoft scam number. It is purely a number to hack down your minutes if you have a Tracfone.

it's Cabela's. I forgot to pay them on the 17th so they start calling me on Christmas eve. They must really need the money. Don't know why they do that I have never missed a payment before.
Just wish they would put a name on the caller ID. I usually don't answer calls without a name.

Been with Cabella for 12-15 years. Had a 30K credit line. Because of cancer treatment, forgot to make one payment. Reduced my credit line to $800 which I over shot by $41. I of course was never informed they reduced credit line. Canceled card, paid $841 and still get calls. Do not due business with Cabella or their bank. They care nothing for their customers.

This may be all fine and good...BUT I have NEVER stepped foot in a Cabela's store, muchless had an account with one, so WHY are they calling ME and harassing ME up to FIVE times a day?! And yesssss, it goes to MY answering machine/voice mail and you're wrong..you DON'T leave a message, you just keep calling and calling and calling! I don't answer calls that can't leave a message...and especially ones I don't do business with. Your response is a typical EMPLOYEE response...as in 'we the business are right -- and you the consumer are wrong.'
I have every right to 'yell and cuss' as you put it, as you ARE harassing ME!!

"Cabela's" Sporting Goods/Outdoors activities/Clothing/ Credit Card company according to previous complaints. I have never done business with them, nor do I intend to NOW.
Interesting that when I tried to look up information for the aforementioned number, received a warning of sorts "403 Forbidden - You do not have permission to access this document." appeared. Odd, since this 1-877-338-6191 was able to call ME without identifying who they were!
They call as many as FIVE times a day and at least TWICE per day, as early as 8AM to as late as 9:00PM. No message is left. This is harassment!!

You may have a state law which grants you power to limit or deny permission for an original creditor to call for collection. USPS Certified with return card is your new best friend in such a task. FDCPA and similar laws apply if the calls are from a third party pretending to be the OC.
Resident47 2013-07-07 00:46:17 Unknown
} Yes we do call a lot and can call up to 6 times a day
... and you don't see how this might inspire your call recipients to "answer rudely"? You can't hold up those examples of innocent lapses in one hand and then knuckle people in the face with the other. A high call count per day is not the action of a compassionate debt collection office but a hustle tactic of commission-thirsty leeches. Maybe your boss told you "six a day is just okay", but state laws and a sense of decency may disagree.

What was the sense of your learning to read in a government-supported school just so you could ignore the rules of services you sign onto? The federal Do-Not-Call registry exists to help enforce the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Please note the operative term ''marketing''. A debt collector is not a sales person and is therefore not covered. Here are the DNC service terms you were supposed to review at registration time:
National Do Not Call Registry Q&A
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry
If you want relief from an exempt caller, you have to take action, not sit and complain about the lack of a rescue effort. The spike in nuisance sales calls since 2009 is hardly isolated to your experience and not connected to your registration.

FYI: any post with the name "Cabelas Club Worlds Foremost Bank" is not from the actual company it is from someone claiming to be an employee or former employee and they DO NOT represent the Cabelas Brand or Company.
Cabelas Club Worlds Foremost Bank 2013-07-06 19:40:15 Debt Collector
And furthermore we CAN NOT put you on our do not call list because we do not have one!! We are not telemarketers or solicitors we are the bank that is owned by Cabelas and are calling to speak with the person(s) that are on the acct not a spouse that pays the bills and wants info. We CAN NOT give out any info to anyone whom we do not have WRITTEN permission from the cardholder to speak with!!!

I work for Cabelas Club Worlds Foremost Bank and this is the phone number to that department. You may think we are harassing you but we are really just giving you a call letting you know that we didn't receive a payment by you're due date. Sometimes payments don't get submitted correctly or checks get lost in the mail or sometimes customers statements get lost in the mail or sometimes customers just plain get busy and forget to pay their bills and don't know any of this until we give them a call. If the system doesn't recognize that an answering machine/voicemail picked up then it just puts it on hold for the next aval rep and that's when you get the music. If we know that it's an answering machine/voice mail we DO leave a msg. If you do call back in we are required to have you pass some security questions to make sure that you are who you say you are this is not to piss you off its to keep you're info safe!! Yes we do call a lot and can call up to 6 times a day until we speak to the actual cardholder. If you want us I stop calling you're best bet is to answer and speak to a rep to get the situation cleared up. And most of all please remember we are more willing to work with you on you're situation with you in a timely and professional manner if you are patient and calm if you call in or answer rudely you may get done what you need to get done but probably not as fast or professionally as you'd like or better yet if you are yellin an cussing we will just plain hang up and not solve anything at all!!!

What is the sense on being on the Do not Call Registry. Seems like since I signed up I get more these toll free calls. This number 1-877-338-6191 calls at least 5 times a day. I have caller id so I do not answer and the dummies do not leave a message.

Feb 8 2013, i received a call from this number but did not pick up. I called this number back from another phone and the automated messages stated it was World's Formost Bank. I dont have an account so it must be telemarketing.

"Hello, I'd like to speak with Ms. Slippery Customer."
"Has not worked here in over 9 years." (Like I keep telling callers ad nauseum.)
"Oh really." (Heavy sarcasm.) "I'll be sure to make that note in our system. Thank you for providing us with that information." (More sarcasm.)
Bye-bye.
How many times do you think they'll try calling, to maybe see if someone can conjure Ms. Customer out of thin air? Maybe the clock will magically jump back 10 years. Ya never know...

Four feet, a shovel and a bag of lime!!!
If this is Cabela's, I've NEVER done business with Cabela's in any way, shape or form.....WTF?????

This is a collection call for a Cabela's card, if you missed a payment date. They call about 8 times a day, but I called it back and spoke with someone very personable and got it cleared up. It's not spam. If you skip the prompts and press 0, or just wait, you'll be connected with someone you can actually talk to.
spud 2012-02-15 02:37:07 Unknown
How in the F@@@ do I get them to stop calling? I have answered and no one is there,I dont answer and no message left WTF.....Can I just shoot them, IS that legal?

This is CABELAS and FOREMOST BANK is Cabelas own bank. They are very unprofessional. I'd recommend not doing business with them.

Yes, I received many calls from this number, 1-877-338-6191, today knowing this was toll free I did not answer, they left a message, therefore I called them back to say, 'put me on your NO CALL list.' They wanted an account number to speak to a representative...I have NO number. Upon googling this number I found these messages...they did leave me a message, I could barely understand what they were saying, did catch the 'World Foremost Bank' ...I have no accounts that I know of with this bank...next time I will answer and speak to whomever and try to get on NO CALL LIST. I did find a place to put phone, cell phone numbers on NO CALL LIST, associated with the governments, takes a while to get your numbers on the list, but it's a start, here is that link:
