I am so stupid... I gave them money today and then found out that they were a total scam... seriously? What can we do to stop this stupid s***? You know they are reading all of this... because they told me they were... and they get your credit report from credit.com... which is how they know EVERYTHING!! I filed a police report and checked with the better business bureau and attorney general... they do not exist! PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!! It will mess up your day!

i too am dealing with this clown chris moffit. only i believed it as i do have some defaulted credit cards and was taken to court on one last year. chris told me if i had to go to court on a second one, it would be a misdemeanor and i could face jail time. anyway, as i said i believed him, duh, and gave him my debit card number and agreed to pay 200.00 that day, which was deducted. he said i had until 9/29 to pay the other 400.00. so, about a week after i did this transaction, which was back on aug. 9th, my credit union fraud dept. called. my debit card had been hacked and they were trying to put thru a charge to a travel agency in germany. i am in michigan, u.s. and do not travel. at that point i still didn't realized it was this scam. i came online to see if they had a website that i could pay the balance on and found all of this info. WOW is all i can say. anyway again, today chris moffit left me a message, today is 9/29 saying i had 24 hours to call him back or the original case plus new charges would be brought against me. i think i will just have to take my chances on this one. will let you know if anything happens to me. wish me luck!!

Or you are a shill.

They routinely post shill posts just like yours, attempting to persuade people that they are "legitimate", that they "sue", and to ignore the numerous reports that it's a scam.

Welcome to the Corona Scam.

thanks for all your great advice people! i got a call from these people 2 weeks ago and i looked up this number and saw this blog. so i took everyones advice and considered this some type of scam. i never told my husband about it and figured just another debt collection agency. i was aware of this debt but just didnt believe i could be sued for it. it was over 4 years old! got a letter yesterday in the mail. it was in fact a court summons and it was regarding that same account. i have a hearing for next month and i am scared. scared to tell my husband. i do owe this money but i think i may have gotten myself into some trouble. i dont want to go to court. my girlfriend told me not to go off this online blog but i just didnt take this seriouse. good luck to all of you. maybe they pick and choose who they take to court. all i know is i am one of them.

There are reports from people who interviewed to work there that the fake "process servers" are all "independent contractors" paid only if a "closer" lands a sucker.

The more threatening they sound, the more likely they will get paid.

Many get nothing, and give up.  Best thing that could happen to them.

Yep, got a call from a "county process server" in the WRONG county telling us we have 24 hours to call back before we're reported to the county clerks office. Mention of a civil suit and the amount being doubled. The funny thing was, listening to the guy while my husband was on the and having been in phone sales, it strongly occurred to me that this is a business call. This guy is working overitme and sounds totally desperate to land this "sale." The ony thing that occurred to me at that point was that he worked on commission. We were given a "case number" for this case, too.

The guy's name is supposedly Chris Moffit and his direct line is supposedly 951.256.3762.

They are just another front for the Corona Scam.

they pull credit reports and attempt to con you into paying some "debt" that sounds like an old account, using threats of "arrest" or a "lawsuit" to panic you into paying without any proof.

Basically a phone extortion racket.

They are posing as a legal firm  Harrison North and Associates, stating that they are going to serve you with a supeona and file suit against you if you don't send them payments.  They had 2 offers on the table - 1000 now or 500 now and monthly pmts.  DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION EVEN IF THEY ARE TYRING TO "VERIFY" WHO YOU ARE.   They also intimidate you by saying you will do jail time, sherrif is on the way to serve you with papers......   They have just enough info about you to convince you they are who they say they are........   this is a BIG SCAM!!!
