It is a debt collector.  What they do is "skip trace"  if they cannot find the person they are wanting to speak with they go through 411.com or another website to find a person with the same name in that town or nearby.  they call me all the time for my mother since we have the same last name.   I just tell them wrong number.  no reason to talk to them...she passed away in march.  they cant get money out someone who isn't alive.  sorry Charlie!

CALLER SAID THEY HAD MY INFO, AND NEEDED ME TO TELL THEM TO CONFIRM THEY HAD THE RIGHT PERSON..  NOPE NOT BUYING IT.   I TOLD HER TO TELL ME THE INFO SHE HAD AND THAT I WOULD  CONFIRM IT.  SHE HUNG UP.

I got a call from this company.  I missed the call, so I called them back.  I spoke with Ms. Johnson.  Very polite and professional.  I also work in collections and she did an appropriate "right party contact".  Verified address and only a partial social.  I was the wrong party, but I have the same name.  She told me that she would remove the nimber and told me to "have a nice day".   Just doing her job.  No complaints from me.
No scam...just a wrong number.

ER Solutions call me said I owe a debt I did said my address when ask and phone # not thinking it was a scam I just though he Don Pro the caller made a mistake I hope nothing bad comes from this, I didn't give him any account # AND HE DIDN'T ASK COME to think of it I didn't give any vertify # he left on my machine he just said my  name when I call back.

It's a fraudster call.

Who the hell is Kelly Smith and why is she calling my work place? 877-341-0006. I recieved  an automated message left at 7:30am  from Kelly Smith claiming I owe someone money. I think this is some type of scam.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I keep getting phone calls from a few different phone numbers and say if I am not "garbled name that isn't mine" I need to call the 877 number.  I have blocked the phone number from my cell phone but it still allows them to leave messages.  I have called twice, this time I'm sitting on hold having to do with some kind of "Century link " cable television, etc.  The first time it hung up on me...I would love to rip the heads off of whatever people are doing this to me...I'm thinking of changing my phone number.

I received calls from 877-341-0006 and 888-203-1294, which happen to be from the same company ER Solutions (aka Convergent Outsourcing).  I also received a document in the mail stating I owed a miniscule balance with a phone co and I need to pay it.  I knew for a fact that I didn't owe this money.  I also contacted the supposed original creditor (phone co) and they couldn't find any balance due, they said there was small balance from a year ago (which wasn't the same balance they were trying to collect) but it was written off account.  
So I told this debt collector, that I didn't want to deal with them (I fired them, which you can do by law) and wanted to deal directly with the creditor, please provide me with the creditor information and account #; this person then hung up on me.  I waited a day or so, knowing they would call back, and told the next person the same thing, they also hung up.  I called them back at the # listed on the document, stating they need to stop calling me and I would deal directly with the creditor.  The person starting getting very nasty telling me I cannot fire them, and I cannot go directly to the creditor, just settle the balance and they will stop calling.  I asked for a supervisor, they said they were the supervisor, so I said fine give me your name so I can make sure to include it with the complaint to the FTC and the BBB; then the person hung up on me.  I haven't heard from them again, it's been 2 weeks now.  I have still sent a letter to the FTC and BBB with a copy of the document received by them.

Yep, they just called me today.  He wanted my address, and I told him I don't give out info like that, and hung up.  I've now put that number on block on my cell phone.

I don't owe any money, and he wouldn't tell me anything over the phone.

I received a call on my cell from these peoples.  Said they were calling from something solutions and that this was personal business.  Wanted my address and last four digits of my social security number.  I just hung up.  They could be fishing for people who owe debts with a certain name.  I have a VERY common name, almost like John Smith.  Just hang up when they call.

They call me all the time and hang up when I answer.  I've blocked the number now.

This number is a Debt Collection Agency. All you other people seem to be either making this stuff up for a little feedback or are complete morons. They match your name, address or previous phone number with any info they have/had and call you non-stop and most of the time don't even get on the line. As soon as you answer, the call ends. Chances are if you owe a medical bill that went to collections that is why they are calling you. If you don't it is probably a mistake. However, I would advise everyone here to never give your personal information out over the phone. I wouldn't even verify that they are calling the correct person. All you have to say is that you don't give your personal information over the phone and if they think they are calling the right person, they should also have your address, so to send something in writing to verify. Don't give them your address though. They should have it if it is legitimate. Good luck people. I hope no one is ever as stupid to give away their bank account and get wiped out. It could be anyone calling you on the other end. It is extremely easy to get an 800 nowadays. Scammers do it all the time.

Received a message today and a few days ago.  It began with a British accencted lady named Kelly something and had personal business with - a computer generated voice saying my wife's name - and that if I was not *name* to hang up, but that if I was *name* to hold for an important message.  The important message is "we have personal business with you and left this number."  Doesn't tell me a whole lot.  However, since we've had mortgage modification and money is tight, could be legit, but could also be a scam.  We generally do not return calls to anyone who do not identify which company they represent.  We're assuming that it is a collection company as that is the only type of "personal business" we ever get messages.

I received a call from this number and it was cox cable compnay to let me know about a past due balance that I had forgot to pay. Glad they called before my cable was cut off.

Just received the same message as others. A recorded message and my recorded name in a different voice. Since I do not owe a dime to anyone, I would assume it is a scam.
