I too received several calls from a blocked number by a man named Patrick Mercer. He claims that he is coming to my home for me to sign some papers. I called that 877 347 6104 and the recording said some law office Anthony Rodriquez. When I asked where the office is located, some man said in Pennyslyvania. Then I asked for a physical address, he goes on to say something like 100 State Street. I just don't feel that this is legit.

I received the same call from a private number.. I have no idea who this is but everytime I call back they say it is after hours.. just scarey when threatened.

It been a while since the last post I see here. Can anyone follow up if anything was ever done to you all. I am in the same boat and feel harrased. They just got on my highest nerve. What do I do? I get that same message as everyone else that I am going to be sued!

I have been reading previous messages and posting on this site regarding a scamming "law firm" named Anthony Rodriguez.  I have been getting calls from a number (877-347-6104) that also leads back to this same place.  Actually, the call comes in as "private" and someone named "Mr. Pierce" says he's notifying to see he'll be serving papers to appear in court at my residence today (he's called and left messages on my cell phone the last several days).  He won't give his phone number but gives the Rodriguez number.  When I called them I said they would have to provide written proof that I owed any money for a payday loan, at which point I was told there was nothing that they could do and that the case had already been filed, and gather my paperwork cause we are going to court.  They apparently notified me 2 years ago by mail, I moved over 2 years ago so got nothing by mail.  I gave them a new address to mail to and TALKED to someone at this number and today more threatening calls.  This company need to have many, many complaints filed against them...

Okay people, where is the "required" contact by mail?  Are they not supposed to contact by mail BEFORE they start calling?  I think I read that somewhere (stating they can't call until 6 days past the date of mailing the letter - or something like that).

They called both my daughters in last 2 days wanting money, court date in 4 days. But you pay $200.00 now, we will not take you to court.

I received a similar call, but had no idea what it was in regards to.  If it's a payday loan that's just perfect.  Did you know that it's illegal for those payday loan places to attempt to collect the debt using normal methods (i.e. reporting you to a credit agency, suing you, etc).  They can still call and send mail, but they have to follow the FDCPA and if you send them a letter demanding that they not contact you by phone you can  actually sue THEM if they violate it.

I recieved a call providing the same number from Patrick Mercer, this complany is violating the FDCPA  policy (harrassment is considered whatever a person feels is harrassing); please file as many complaints against this person and this company as possible, as he is making threats, knowing this is a violation.

I recieved this call today from a Patrick Mercer stating that he was calling on a debt collector. He called from a private number and gave me this 877 number to call. I asked him what was this regarding he stated a case pending against me and I needed to sign some papers. I asked him who had the case against me, he stated he didn't know.

I got the same thing too. He's left me 3 messages. The last one was this morning, saying that he doesn't need to leave a return phone number because I already have it and he'll be stopping by my house sometime today.  He doesn't have the correct address, so I don't know if he went through with it, but I doubt it.

I got the same thing but when I searched there are no cases filed against me. They are showing up to serve me if I don't respond. Please do, I'd like written proof finally.

I'm assuming these people are your typical low-life scum that try and scare you in to paying them something before you can really get all the facts.  Is this true?  I was wondering if anyone else is getting calls from this particular number.
