I've read horror stories about people receiving multiple calls, sometimes ten or more, from unsolicited sources on a daily basis. Well, I've got a horror story for you...

We used to keep a notepad with unsolicited spam calls, that we could check the caller ID and ignore the call if the number matched our log.  This is no longer possible, as we /literally/ get 60-90 such calls from 2-3 dozen unique numbers per day now.

We are on the DNCR, and have filed many complaints.  The calls do not stop, and it has gotten to the point where I should be getting payed an 40 hour weekly salary to justify all the complaints I should be filing.  I am honestly about to cancel my phone service.

Thanks to all the people who have posted information online about 877-350-7827 because , at least I am aware now about said number and the intentions behind the calls. 877-350-7827 called me on 1/19/12 at 11:41 a.m. with  a robo-message which I understood was from the postal service and they "wanted to confirm my address". When I answered "No" to the machine recording, they just hung up. I dislike these types of calls. I will not pick up again if they call one more time.

I reported this to the lazy FCC. The next step is to contact my conresscritter and ask him to slash funding for FCC, since FCC has NO interest in addressing abuse.

I still recommend filing reports, though, and then mailing or faxing your Congressperson and Senators. Time to get rid of that deadweight, anti-consumer agency.

This is not the first time I have received this unsolicited call and just want the name of the company and the address if someone has it .  I will take care of it from there. Write these pesky numbers down and just let them play through to your voicemail and eventually they will stop. Don't waste your time pressing buttons to have your number taken off as all it does is show them that it is an active phone line and they will then sell your number to others.

I have receiving these calls several times a day lately.  Saying your Labor Law posters are ready to ship, its required by law to post them.  Then they want you to press 1 to verify your address or 2 if not.  I just hang up. I really wish they would stop calling.

Scammers. Just hang up. These people are parasites. Call the number back and choose option 3 to remove your number. You can get your state labor posters they are selling for 65 bucks for FREE on your state labor site.

And the actual all in one poster they are selling for $65 is about $10 from your state.

Got the automated call asking me if we are a particular address in New York.  Pressed 1, then it asked me how many posters we need and I punched in 99.  Some ice-hole got on the line asking for details about how the posters should ship.  I had music cranking in the background and waited to hear how long he would hang on before he gave up.  He kept saying "hello?"  After about 90 seconds he gave up.

Guess he hasn't different taste in music than I do.

And just a remark on the do not call registry - this registy is ONLY for individual phone numbers, NOT business phone numbers, so don't bother putting your company phone number on it. AND many many telemarketing scammers use numbers that don't really exist and route their calls through a number of routers. This is why when you call them back it is an unknown number. The Feds can't do a thing about this.

Got the call today...The recording actually said it was the Oregon Labor Law Poster division and wanted to verify information. My BS meter was at high alert immediately, so I hit zero and got some schmuck on the phone. Finally got him to admit his company was NOT part of the State of Oregon (color me surprised), nor did they represent them AND the posters cost $65 and some odd dollars. Told him to go poster himself.

I suspect this is actually Personal Concepts. I have a personal vendetta against those scam artists. I have turned them into the state Attorneys General for deceptive practices and to the BBB.

It is very unfortunate that enough dumb a** people out there will answer the automated questions and end up with posters they can get for 100% free from their state labor department.

Happy New Year MOFOs...

The Federal Trade Commission and Do Not Call Registry probably has been bribed and bought off by the racketeers who are making those repeated illegal telemarketing calls, and that is probably is why our government watch dogs are acting more like lap dogs for organized crime. I suggest telling our elected members of Congress to get rid of the Federal Trade Commission on grounds that the FTC fails to perform.

The Do Not Call Registry is worthless and a waste of tax money since they don't put a stop to these messages on my answering machine although I've complained several times over the past couple of years.

The government may argue that they can't do anything about it because the perpetrators are in a foreign country, but why does our government not turn that foreign country into a glass parking lot or a sea of glass as it is known to be good at doing? I'm sure that our government has a few spare drones like the ones that took out those radical islamic terrorists recently, so it seems to me that it would be easy for our CIA to blast those rag a muffin telemarketers into eternity.

Furthermore as I wrote earlier today there has never been a business located at our telephone number or at our residence. We have never been business owners or employers, so how do those brainless two legged gourds ever get into any kind of sales and marketing agency anyway? If any of them had a brain he would probably take it out and play with it.

If you ever needed to hire an advertising agency you should save your money and never hire those cretins or pay for any of their leads.

Just dont' push those buttons that they tell you to push since doing that may result in your telephone account being hijacked. We don't even own a business and never have, but for the 3 years that we've been living here those calls have been coming to notify us of workplace posters ready to ship. Our address is a private home that is in a single family residence. My late mother was the president of a property owners' association, and for some reason some morons on the internet found about the property owner's association and listed it as a business although there has never been a business located at this address. It is an indicator of the kinds of an-cephalic losers have high level positions in those sales and marketing offices.

Same thing for me today and a few other days, damn nuisance calls. "Is this your address xxxx street, city zip code, press 1 for yes, 2 for no.  F*** them a** holes. I blocked the calls from my phone, won't even ring now on my end, just refuse them.

The people getting these calls most likely have a license with the State or listed as a business somewhere.

I just got a call from them.. second one in two days. THis time I just kept pressing "0" until someone came on the line and asked them why they were ripping ppl off trying to sell them the posters that were available for free. SHe said you are required to have them. I said yes and I am but they are FREE so why would I ever pay you for them when they are FREE?? I just kept repeating that you can get them for free!!!  I told her if she called again I was reporting them to the Attorney General.

Automated call trying to sell state labor law posters - anyone can print these out free from info on state government web sites - rip off - they tell you these are required (which is true), but you can get free! They want $67 to send to you. I called number back - hit #3 - to be removed from call list - seemed to work...
