My wife died 2years ago. The heart association keeps calling and asking for her. I have told them this on numerous occasions. Please tell them to stop. They get so rude with me.

Received a call on 12/27, 12/21, 12/16, and 12/11.  Caller ID says Toll Free Caller. Don't leave a message.  Someone mentioned earlier in 1/2012 above it was the AHA, was receiving many complaints, and was being investigated. Other say it was ACA.  Either way if they don't leave a message, I don't pick up.  I doubt it was being investigated, just like I doubt the other was being investigated.  They are allowed to call if the person donated to them.  I have not.

DNC List is another crock. They sell your name and number to these scammers. They do not care about us.

All you have to do is send a typed or hand written letter to the American Heart Association asking them to cease and desist calling your number immediately, now and in the future. I have done that with another charity that consistently called on several different numbers. I have not received another call for that charity and it has been 2 years. If they do all you again you can file a complaint and sue them because you have it in writing that you asked them to stop!!!! That's the only way to get rid of these scammers if you know who they are.

STOP CALLING

Everyone, Non-profits and Political calls are EXEMPT from the DNC-if they call right after we send money we're not gonna SEND anymore to them!

Damn, is there anyway to forward these calls to the NSA.  Might as well help them out with monitoring all of our communications.

American Heart Society uses so many different telephone numbers it is filling my blocked call allowance that I have with my Comcast phone service.  I think these organizations should be charged with harassment.

John, Anyone can make one of these scam calls, and tell you they are from "The American Heart Association",  but are they
really representing that organization?   I doubt it!   Why don't you call the American Heart Association and ask them if
they are making these calls?

The anonymous call rejection feature only works on calls that normally would appear on the caller id as "blocked" --"private"--"anonymous" etc, where the caller intentionally blocked the name and number. It does not work where any number, including spoofed (falsified) is displayed.

Just got a call. Didn't answer, no message left.  Caller ID said TOLL FREE CALLE.

Most phone companies now offer a free or low cost service called anonymous caller rejection (ACR). It blocks all calls from anyone who masks their ID or phone number, such as private caller or toll free caller.  They get a message telling them that they must reveal their true identity and number before the call can be completed.

With AT&T and Suddenlink, ACR is turned on by getting a dial tone and pushing *77.  It can be turned off by pushing *78. I am turning my ACR on.

It's not necessary to "be polite" to callers who hang up before you even have a chance to even answer the phone. Also they never leave a message---2 signs that the callers are not a legitimate organization, but scammers, representing themselves as one!

Home phone rang with another #.  1 minute later as I was writing down info, received call from this #.  I quess if they can't get you to answer the first time, they'll just use a different #.

I rec'd a call from this number and I assume from these comments that it is from the American Heart Assoc.  I had rec'd a call from a different number from them also.  When I looked it up on "who calls us" site there was a message from Amer Heart which gave a number to call to remove your name from their call lists.  I called 888-355-7209 and they were very polite and took my name off their call lists.  Please be polite to a group that is doing good work.

I do not appreciate a harassing phone call to my home.  I answer and there is no reply.  Heart Association.....  I will NEVER donate to this organization if the do business this way....EVER

I doubt if the actual American Heart Association would call repeatedly and not leave a message, so this number is apparently being used by scammers.

I got a call from them (AHA) last week, and agreed to send four letters to neighbors in February.  No big deal.

I got a message from them a few days later thanking me for my help.  Again, no big deal.

They called me for a third time this afternoon, and didn't leave a message.  Why?  I agreed to send the letters.  No need to call me three times in one week.

My dad passed away from heart disease in October, so I'll follow through on my agreement, but I'll probably be blocking the phone number.

I just received a call from this number which I did not recognize or answer.....NO ONE LEFT A MESSAGE!!  They even call on Sunday!

I don't answer if I don't know the number.  I don't use an answering machine, they just have to listen to the ring until they give up..

this number 877-353-1611 called my house this morning.  The woman who was calling was telling me she represents the cancer society and was asking for donations.  I told her I am on a do not call list and she kept talking so I got real mad and told her I am reporting this number.  It is NOT a telemarketer.  These people are scammers. Just sick of it with all these calls every day.

American Heart Association again. They're now showing "Unavailable" in their Caller ID (probably because people have learned not to pick up when they know who's calling) ? the mark of true scumbags.

It's the American Heart Assn at it again, with their yearly begging campaign. It wouldn't be so bad if they would kindly leave a message, but they hang up before a person even gets a chance to answer! As a result they are now on my "do not answer list", and have no chance of EVER getting a contribution.

Supposed to be American Heart Assoc., getting calls like this for months 4-5 times a day, I called them back and told them to take me off their list, they said they would and that it might take up to two weeks, hopefully this works.
