His name is now Elizabth from Nebraska and selling a Boston Whaler for $4,400..

So as you know from my first e-mail, I am a newly divorcee. I figured a fresh start would do me good, so I packed up and moved to my home town, Omaha Nebraska, with my job, and took the boat with me. I left the boat at a local warehouse, in a cargo container, ready to be delivered to its hopefully future new owner.
Now let me tell you how Google Wallet works. This system is a payment platform, their purpose being to keep safe the buyer and the seller. If you buy the boat your money is held in a trust fund account until you receive the boat and try it out for 5 days. Shippind is free, back and forth. If after the 5th day you decide to keep it, they will release the money to me upon your approval. Otherwise, (but I bet this won't happen) you can send it back and receive a refund, in full.  First it sounds scary but once you get the idea on how it works, you will love it. If you want to give it a try, I can have them send you the invoice, meaning more details on how this works, payment options/delivery etc. For that I need your whole name, address and phone number. Will be waiting for your e-mail!

Craigs List - Houston - June 2013 - Yamaha 2004 AR210 - $4,300.00

Sent: Friday, June 21, 2013 11:11 PM
Subject: 2004 Yamaha AR210

Hello John,

Glad you are one of the people interested in buying my boat. I'm selling it because i recently got divorced and as a single  woman i don't need it. Let me give you a few details about it: very good  shape, only used in fresh water, no mechanical issues,no scratches nor  dents, and it has never been involved in any kind of accidents. Powered by two high performance 135 HP Yamaha engines. Has only 100 hours, comes with the trailer included and the price is $4,300 for both. I have a clear titles, free of any liens or loans on them, under my name.
If you are interested in buying it or if you have any questions, please reply to this email.

Sincerely,

Melissa J. Beck

Melissa,

OK, lets do it. You are an hour away. If it checks out - I have cash.

John

Dear John,

Being on my own again after the divorce, I decided it's time for a change. So I moved to Omaha, Nebraska with my job. The boat is in my possession, already at the shipping company, in a cargo container, ready to be delivered to its future new owner. With eBay, you get free delivery, the boat arriving at your place in 4 to 6 days. In addition, you get 5 days to try it out before buying it, and if you don't like it, you can send it back at my expense. I want to make it very clear, that eBay will hold your money, and I won't be receiving a single dollar unless you call and tell them to release the money to me. If interested, e-mail me your whole name and ph#, and I will forward it to eBay so they can send you more details on how this works.

Melissa J Beck

Melissa,

This is really odd. In July 2012, Maria Swanson sent the same pictures of the same boat, at the same house.

http://s1170.photobucket.com/user/yamaha_ar/l ... 0?sort=3&page=1

Now I get it - you were divorced from Maria?

Another oddity: If you have been living in TX, why is the boat registered as FL 9664 MW?

Why have the pics I have (same pics as the photobucket site in July 2012) had the "FL" in the ID photo-edited with FL taken out?

$4,300 for a boat that is worth $11 - $13000? I guess you are desperate, having tried to sell the boat at 1/3 of the value in July of 2012 with no success, and now it almost July of 2013. Maybe Maria left you high and dry, and was a tough row to hoe.

http://www.nadaguides.com/Boats/2004/Yamaha/AR-210+/10218073/Values

Did you and Maria do any fishing? We live about 60 miles from the coast, and winds sometime smell like fish. We can smell fish today, but I thought it could be coming from Omaha, Nebraska.

From: katie.jonson38@gmail.com

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in buying my SUV. It's a 2002 GMC Yukon 4dr AWD, in perfect condition, never been involved in any accidents. The SUV looks great. It has a clear title with 116,001 miles ready to be signed and notarized on your name. The total price is $ 2.200 US. I sell the SUV at this price because I just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce has finished I own this SUV. Because of my divorce settlement, I own this SUV and as a woman without driver's license I don't need it so I'm trying to get rid of it as soon as possible. All documents, including owner's manual, clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the SUV. I am looking forward to hear from you.If you are interested to buy please let me know!

Details :116,001 miles, Vehicle title: Clear, Transmission: Automatic , Drivetrain: AWD, Engine: 6.0L V8 MPI , Fuel type: Gasoline. One owner, non smoking, no pets.Never been in an accident.

- After I replied and said that I wanted to go check out the car, she did not give me a response instead she replied saying the following:

Hello again,

Please give me a little time to explain you the process of this transaction, As I told you in my first email, I divorced, I got a new job and moved to Missoula,MT. Before leaving I had prearranged the deal with Amazon so my presence isn't necessary. The car is located in Missoula, at the shipping company, ready to be delivered. The car will arrive at your address in 2-3 working days. The shipping cost is included in the total price of the car! You will have 7 days to test it and inspect the car prior to make any purchase.
So if you want to make this deal I need the following details from you:
full name and address
phone #
After I will have all this details I will forward them to Amazon and I will proceed this transaction. Amazon will contact you with all the details that you need to complete this deal and also to see that I am covered by them and that I am legit seller. Waiting your email with the requested details.

Later they sent me the invoice from supposedly Amazon.

With Amazon logos, trade mark, copyright, it looked close enough to fool me. We are going to go after the bank the money was wired to, and the person who is supposedly the account manager (found him on google at the listed address). this is why our country has gone to s***. letting people like this screw over other hardworking Americans. i lost $4600 to this scam and i have filed several complaints. none of which a damn thing was done. after i found out it was a scam i went to my bank and asked for the money to be retracted back into my account. (which i know can be done! a while ago someone accidentally deposited money into my bank account. a complete stranger! when the person went back to their bank the bank simply took the money back from my account. they called me and apologized for any confusion and trouble. it was quite alright with me and i believe they had the right to take the money back out of my account without my permission. it wasnt my money and the person who put it there wanted it back.) with that said why couldnt that be done for me when i realized it was a scam? with it being a scam they should have had all the more authority to refund my transfer. OR at least cntact the other bank and freeze the receiving account until police investigated the situation. i just cant believe we live in a world where people can get away with this. and its not like im the only victim either. this has been a Representative thing for months now. who knows how long theyve been at this. we can only date it back to the first person who started this blog. point being, a scam this reoccurring should have been stopped by now. especially since theyre using big name companies like Google and Amazon to fool people. hell i cant see why the higher ups at Google and Amazon wouldnt spend the money on fraud investigators or something of that nature to stop these criminals from hurting their company reputation.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Hey there,

My name is Angela, and I am happy to see you are interested in my Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged  Really good shape, never had any problems with it, no scratches nor dents, the car is free of any accidents. It has 54,239 miles, automatic transmission, and a 8 Cylinder, 4.2 L engine. The title is legally under my name, clear, free of any liens or loans on it. I wanted sell it at its Blue Book value, but without any luck, so I changed up my mind and reduced the price drastically at $4,800. I got divorced recently, this is how I got the car, and I want to sell it because I already have one, no second one needed.

If you want to see pics of the car, you can go at http://www.use.com/051aa73c235917a42fec

Hello there,
My name is Patricia, and I'm emailing you regarding the Sea Fox that I have for sale. The boat is in perfect condition, with no need for any additional repairs. Flawless condition, no dents and no mechanical problems. It has never been in salt water. It has 250 hours and it comes with trailer and all the extras included.I legally own a clear title, free of any liens or loans, under my name. The price was reduced at $3,999.Because of my divorce settlement, i own this bike and as a woman i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible (this is the reason for the cheap price).

Thank you,
Patricia

I will ask Amazon to send you the invoice (contact details, payment instructions) explaining how things work. After you receive the invoice, in case you decide to buy it you will have to pay through Amazon, as they will hold, protect and guarantee your money until you get the boat. You will try it out for 5 days, and if at the end you are happy with it, you can give them the "green" to release the money to me. Or if not, you can just send it back and get a refund, without paying for the shipping.
Thank you,
Patricia

And here's my last correspondence with dear Debra:

Here?s a piece of advice, Debra.

Google yourself by typing in ?Debra Fowler scam.? You will find a very long and colorful history that clarifies your reputation selling cars. I was on to you from the beginning, you see, so beware. The FBI is not far behind.

When you got divorced, you really should have changed your name.

Best,

Re: 2007 Toyota Prius Hybrid Hi Debra,

I didn?t understand that you were not here in New York. I?m not familiar with buying a car through Amazon, but am certainly open to having them email me more information about the car and how the transaction works. Does the deal require that I pay up front or leave deposit before I test drive the car?

Thanks again for your reply.

This number is being used in an apparent scam as a contact number for Amazon.com customer support center.
I resonded to an ad on craigslist/LexingtonKY to a yamaha Rhino 700 for sale locally. Next I know the seller emails that she is a recent divorcee, moved to Topeka, and starting over. The rhino is at Amazon warehouse #38 in Topeka, not lexington, ready to be shipped with papers as soon as I wire transfer the purchase price to Amazon trust account. The entire thing is just BULL. Ruined my wifes fiftieth birthday screwing around with this. Report this to the internet fraud dept of your local police if you see an ad like this.
Search local versions of craigslist for motor vehicles being sold at wierd low prices and see if personal names with a number attached ,(ie debra.leone97@hotmail.com or harold.wagner 56@gmail.com) are attached or respond.

I almost fell for a 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster Trike.  Same person, Debra Fowler.  Same story as above, she got hers in a divorce settlment. Thanks to my wife being very apprehensive about this and the computer intelligence of my two sons, I did not lose my money because I was definitely ready to send it.  Called them to tell them I had decided to drive up and get the motorcycle.  They hung up on me.  The woman that called me had a foreign accent.  When I called Amazon after getting "invoice", it was the same lady.  When I called the number back about driving up, a man with a foreign accent answer.  Shame something can't be done, but I'm just glad my wife decided to talk to our sons.  They gave us the website to immediately look to and this is where it took us.

Same story...Debra Fowler, recently divorced, clear title to a motor home, being held at Amazon warehouse, selliing cheap, wire money.  It is a scam.

My son works for the FBI and I have transferred all my knowledge of this to him.  They will be caught.  Fortunately I went to Amazon.com looking for what she said she had listed and was eventually directed to this.   Hope this person rots in hell!   When she/he is caught.....LMAO!

It has a 43,010 miles, 6.8 liter Triton V10 engine. Has everything a big rig has, in a smaller package: kitchen, fridge, toilet, shower, generator, thermostat controlled heat and A/C, and much more. I legally own a clear title, free of any liens or loans, under my name. The price was reduced at $3,600. Because of my divorce settlement, i own this motorhome and as a woman i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible (that`s why i`m selling it so cheap).

Thank you,
Debra

As I told you in my first email, I recently got divorced. I got a new job and moved to Topeka KS for a new start. The truck is already at the shipping company in Topeka sealed and ready for the shipping. My presence won't be necessary because I prearranged the deal with Amazon. The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 3 days. You will have 5 days to try out prior to making any purchase and if by any reason you find something you don't like about it you can send it back at my expense.
If you are interested in knowing more info about how it works, I can ask Amazon to send you an email with more information on how to purchase it. Amazon will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the information that you need to complete this deal and you will also have proof that I am covered by them and a legitimate seller. If you would like to receive the email from Amazon will all the transaction information please reply with your full name and phone # and they will contact you right away.
She said her name was Kathleen but her name in the email was Debra Fowler from Topeka Kansas and there was the reflection of a mexican man taking the photos of the 1978 Toyota land cruiser FJ40 for $4900 on craigslist. http://houston.craigslist.org/ctd/3272728937.html I have since been trying in contact with the actual Amazon.com and they are looking into it. Nothing but a scam.

Hello there,
My name is Carol, and I'm emailing you about the Jeep Wrangler that I have for sale. The jeep  is in very good shape, no known mechanical issues, without scratches or dents, and it has never been involved in any kind of accidents. The mileage is 22,637 automatic transmission, with an 6 Cyl 3.8L V6 engine, AWD, black exterior and gray interior. I legally own a clear title, free of any liens or loans, under my name. The price was reduced at $4,000. Because of my divorce settlement, i own this jeep and as a woman i don`t need it so i`m trying to get rid of it as soon as possible (this is the reason for the cheap price).
If you have any other questions, or need more info, please feel free to ask.

I will ask Amazon to send you the invoice (contact  details, payment instructions) explaining how things work. After you  receive the invoice, in case you decide to buy it you will have to pay  through Amazon, as they will hold, protect and guarantee your money  until you get the jeep. You will try it out for 5 days, and if at the end  you are happy with it, you can give them the "green" to release the  money to me. Or if not, you can just send it back and get a refund,  without paying for the shipping.
Thank you,
Carol
