I don't recommend fax police either

Got the same one.  Most junk faxes have a number at the bottom to call and  get removed from their list.  If I'm going to have to dial a number, why not just contact the junk faxer directly instead of faxing to "The fax police?"  Doesn't seem like it would save me any time at all.

Just received a fax from "the fax police" call their fax # (866)795-9610 to remove unwanted faxes.

I got the Fax Police fax today - but the number to call was (866) 795-9610.  A junk fax to advertise removal of junk faxes.

I got a fax from "The Fax Police" telling me they will get rid of unwanted faxes - funny, I didn't want THEIR fax, but they sent it to me anyway.

I also got "the Fax Police" message, giving 877-357-8133 but thanks to you all, I saw 800-473-6209 on top, and that's one I've seen on another website this morning, listed as being really fake:  as really WestFax who are using the faxes returned to "The Fax Police" for data mining and to research their competition.  I don't know if that's really true, but I'm reluctant to trust them!

I meant it's illegal for them to fax you if you are on a "do not fax" list. You can get money out of these people, too.

According to emrupdate.com, they are legit. It's kind of like when you have a class action lawsuit against someone and the lawyers benefit from getting as many people to sign on to the class as possible. They obviously are funded by small claims against some of these companies, which is illegal if you have your number on a "do not call" or "do not fax" list. You can do the same thing, BTW, but it's a pain. So not for nothing, why give these guys a reason to make money, unless you are so inundated you cannot do your job.

Received fax from "The Fax Police" today. . . just looking on the internet to find out more about this company. It says, "simply fax your unwanted faxes to 877-357-8133 and the Fax Police will remove you from the fax lists." But the funny part is. . it came from fax number 800-473-6209.

Just got the FAX POLICE email also.

The number on top of the page it came from is from a fax 800-473-6209.
