i just got a call from this number this morning. she left a message in my voice mail, and i tried to call back. in the voice mail, she didn't mention the name of the bank, she only said my name. after she said my name, the automated machine said they have a important business with me and wanted me to call back ASAP. i called, it was a atomated machine, it has 9 different options (i guess, i did't really count them) and neither of the options i can press in order to get me to speak with a real person. and yes i also have a premier bank card. i mean could this be a scam?

Same scam - Premier Bank -- called my wife's cell phone. Wouldn't give her any info, but a return phone # -- 866-932-6750. Same deal...wanted my info. Couldn't really answer my questions. Finally got them to give me the last 4 digits of the SSN they had. It wasn't mine. Then the call ended. And this call originated from the "Collections/Accounts Receiveable" Dept. But, when I called the number, I had no problem getting to a live person and the line even had the "This call is being recorded for your protection" message.

I got a message from this morning and called back.  I did not have to disclose any information to get a human on the phone, but when one came on the phone she quickly started asking me to start verifying info.  She wanted my account # (which I don't have!) or my ss#.  I told her I was not giving her that.  She said that she could see that I had an outstanding account and in order to make sure someone had not opened an account under my name I would have to verify some sort of information.  Don't you just love the "scare" tatics these people employ - totally disgraceful!!  She asked me to spell my name- I told her no, she asked for my address, I told her no.  At that point I told her she was getting no information from me and that this whole thing was a scam, that I knew what her company was doing.
She quickly backed down, said she was sorry, and that I would be removed from the call list.

Don't buy into this and whatever you do, DO NOT give them any information.  You could end up with someone else's unclaimed debt on your credit report!  Good Luck.

This is a SCAM - not a telemarketer. I called the 800 number and an automated system -- which sounded VERY legitimate, like a real bank -- gave me a bunch of choices.  I pressed 0 for an operator and was then told I must enter my social security number or credit card number!  In late 2007 some of you had been getting these calls for three months -- I've been getting them in June of 2008 for three weeks, at least 6-10 calls per day!!  WHY is this still going on?????

Yes, these same folks kept calling and calling - sometimes 8 or 9 times a day.  They always called right after 8am and right before 9pm.  They left two messages - both saying a serious "business" need to discuss.  I finally called them back but there is no way to talk to a human although you can leave your social sec number or a credit card number.  I did neither.  When they called back again I told them never to call back - so far so good. This is a complete scam - do not talk with them or provide any information. The phone number does not line up with the real premier credit card - which appears to be a respected mid-west firm.

This is quite a coincidence. Yesterday, a friend of mine received a call from this same Premier Bank scammer but they called his workplace and asked for him by name!  The scammer told him she was calling about an issue with his Premier Mastercard account that needed to be resolved, and she repeatedly asked him to confirm his Social Security number before proceeding.  The problem is, he doesn't have a Premier Mastercard.  Needless to say he didn't give her any information and hung up.

These calls are obviously coming from an identity theft operation.

A woman called my wife and told her she needed to talk with me. I was working at the time. They called today again from an unknown number and I answered the phone this time. The woman told me I was late with my payment for the month of november for a "mastercard from a premier bank". I told her I don't have a mastercard with that bank. I asked her when was the account opened and she said in 2006. I asked her how she got my information and phone number. She then wanted to verify my information and started asking my name and address, to which I told her I was not giving her any information. She was upset with my answer. I asked her to give me a phone number from her bank so that I could call them and she gave me
1-877-358-5008. After that I checked my credit report and there's not such account with premier bank. It's ovbious that this is a scam. Who is supposed to protect us from this kind of scams? The authorities should be doing something about this. It's not the first time it happens and I'm not the only person who had the problem. They should be investigating that number and who it really belongs to.

I also got two calls from these people (first a man and this morning a woman). I told the first caller I did NOT have a card with them and hang up but when the lady called this morning and I said the same she told I should make sure no one else opened a card under my name. She proceeded to ask me how comfortable I was disclosing personal information to which I said I was not ready to do that, instead I would look up their number online and call them. She then gave the 877-358-5008 number. I called and followed the prompt to cancel my card (just to see what happened), I was asked if I was sure I wanted to cancel and after pressing 1 to say yes, the voice message just said 'goodbye' and hang up!!! This is clearly a scam and I would be happy to tell the next 'Premier bank representative' that calls me!

They left a message saying that they were calling about a very important business matter and needed to speak to me right away.  The caller stumbled a couple of times while leaving the message, as if she was new at the job.  I tried to call the number to see what it was about, but could never get a human being.  The prompts tried to get me to enter my social security number (which I didn't do) or enter my account number (I have no account with them).  I gave up after trying several times to reach a human.

Calls have been coming in for the last three months, I decided to answer the phone because I wanted to trace the call and then she told me the same thing.  I told her please not to call again and said that she needed to talk to my husband because it was an important matter.  She did get snippy with me because I told her that we did not want her to call anymore and she was mad and hung up on me.
