Someone left a message from this number. Problem is, the number they called from was displayed as 602-503-5140, which is a "stolen" number. If you dial it you get a message by a young woman to leave a message but the box is full. Google  that number and you'll see references from someone that her number was stolen. So, I guess there are some unsavory tactics going on here. They try to justify their practices any way they can. These are bottom feeders chewing on your toes as they swim around in the mire.

I just got a call from this number. I ignored the call the first time and they called me back, I ignored the call a second time and they called a third. I just silenced the ring and let it go to voicemail and then they called my husbands phone. Not sure who they are calling for but they are on my call block now.

Recieved a phone message from Gillette & Paul that it was urgent to call. Gave a case number also. Called them back right away from my business phone line (not my home line where I got the message) and when my name was passed by the "lawyer" Sean Julian, I was informed the original message was a mistake and that they were apologizing for calling.
Sounds exceedingly fishy....seems as if they are just out trolling for the right victim.....

My husband and I received several calls from a Paul Larsen representing Gillette. Mr. Larsen was looking for my husband's brother, Michael.  Mr. Larsen even went as far as asking if "Mike" was unable to make decisions on his own behalf and wondered if there a family member who might be handling his affairs. Pretty slick approach.

I received an auto message on  Friday night from this office from an "unkown" and stated they were calling in reference to my name pertaining to a civil case, but didn't leave a case #. I too don't owe anyone money and from the past, all has been paid. I too am freaked out thinking I am going to be served for something that don't  owe then cause a huge headache trying to research this. My worry is that my soon to be ex husband who has a history of lying and deceiftulness, ordered something like a credit card or something in my name and hasn't paid it. That worries me big time. Guess time will tell.

I got the same call, and whenn I called back, and asked what the call was in reference to, thay began asking questions, wanting my name and personal info, etc. I refused and said you called me and what did they want, he refused any info, and thanked ME for wasting HIS time. I called back from my office the next day, and the same guy told me he no longer needed to talk to me because they were proceeding with this matter legally and in the courts. I still have no idea what they wanted in the first place. I'm sure they think I owe someone money, and was or is trying to collect, but still in the dark as to what. I'm a little freeked out, expecting to be served or something. As far as I know, I don't owe anybody. I'm current on all my bills, nothing is paid late. Would like to know what this is in reference to though.

This is an attorney's office/bill collector.  They were looking for someone I had never heard of.  I asked to be removed from their call list.  I'll see if it works.

I just got this call on my cell phone while I was at work. They left a message saying they know where I work and left the phone # and a Case # but never said what it was about?? They also said if I dont call back they will start garnishing my wages on May 12th!

I was online trying to track down the company name that belongs to the number and I came up with nothing!

Your wages cannot be garnished automatically, there has to be a judgment against you  - it is illeagal for these collectors to threaen you with that - or to have you arrested, they do not have that authority.

I used to work at the Law Offices Of Gillette & Paul.  They're BIG TIME scam artists. We used to call a myriad of numbers each day to find out if they had any outstanding debt. If they were under water- we would harass and humiliate them each day into giving us money. Very few people had any outstanding debts. I would get an attorney and mail them a 'cease and desist' request. I worked at that place for a couple of weeks and left because I found a better job w/ a moral compass.

Keep getting calls from this Schmuck named Tracy Paul who is probably picking his teeth and looking at himself in the mirror as he says "I expect a call back from you by end of business today." Then hangs up the phone.... He is calling me for a debt my husband had from college ten years ago! My husband called and talked to someone there and they informed him the total bill was somewhere around $4,000! From a $500 credit card that was given to him when he was 19 and unemployed!!! Statute of limitaions in Oregon is 6 years! Tracy Paul Law offices, you are insane, and so freaking shady, and the perfect definition of "Do***e Bag" If you have legit debts for all these people then try following the rules that the government set out for you, and BE NICE! If you act like you actually care about people and their situations, you might get more people to work with you.

Number: 877-359-7171
Call Date: 1/31/2011
Call Time: 8:39 PM MDT
Status: The Caller ID stated "800 Service".  I did not answer.  The caller left a recorded voicemail which stated that "this is a call for [NO NAME]" and it instructed me to call back and "reference number [NO NUMBER] when calling."  I called the number from the voicemail (1-866-507-5050) and was transferred around a bit.

This number was to the Law Offices of Tracy Paul.  They asked to speak with John.  I informed then that they have called on numerous occasions asking for a "John" but there isn't anybody here by that name.  The women I spoke with said that if I get any more calls within the next 24 hours to ignore as she removed my phone number from their records and it takes that long for the computer to update.

If they haven't filed suit in 2 years then most statute of limitations os over due. Also after 7 years it comes off your will credit report.  They  will try and reassign another case number to keep it active over the seven years or sell it to another agency. No worries, just contact the FTC to complain if they do this, it will cost them $1,500 in fines if you sue them. Also have the credit bureau?s check your file and they will take it off. It worked for me and is easy but time consuming to do, BUT VERY DOABLE.  Also put your number in the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY incase they call and then you got them again for proof. Just and FYI. Good Luck to all. This is who they are:

Paul Law Office DBA Gillette and Paul Law
230 West 200 South #3301
Salt Lake City, UT

There are myriad numbers for them, but these are the most common.
Phone: 801-466-2130 (not that you should be calling them)

The number in question (877-359-7171)  keeps showing up on my phone for some chick name Kristen, they never say her last name and they change the "Attorney's" names every time. What's funny is I have no debt so I know their not calling for me and I've had my phone number for 3 years so it's not a wrong number. Sounds like a bunch of hired robot mutants who didn't have enough intelligence to go to college and get a real job so they can sound professional and accurate at least on the phone or possibly read a phone number right. I agree people should pay their bills and maintain their finances, I agree that those who truly just don't want to pay should be punished. But jerkoffs who think and feel like these collectors are the one who leave retarded stuttering voicemails on machines like mine where the message ISN'T EVEN FOR ME! And when i try to call and tell them their calling the wrong person they accuse me of being "Kristen" and all I can do is laugh, collectors are a dime a dozen usually retards who have no where else to go in life except the bottomless feeding pit. I hold strippers and prostitutes in a higher regard then collectors...some criminals too. People pay your bills and if you cant talk to the party you owe before it goes to retard collectors and save yourself some stress and maybe try a Debt relief program, Collectors- get a real friggin job...go to school do something other then sit there like an idiot calling people
all day...I don't care what your employer tells you, your not important to their company, your job isnt meaningful/helpful, and from what I hear you make people miserable so you must be pretty miserable and a low life yourself.

Message from a Mr. John Higgins of Tracy Paul law firm left on home answering machine asking us to call them at 1-877-359-7171 Ext. 4615 regarding a legal matter of extreme importance.  Several attempt to contact anyone resulted in voice mail to Higgins.  Finally, after a week of hearing nothing and after telling them I would not be calling back ever again, I did call back just to satisfy my curiosity and a Mr. John Higgins answered the phone!!!  He repeated my name, address, phone no., birth date and 1st 5 digits of my social!!!! He would not provide any info other than to say they received this info from a reputable private investigator from Virginia !!!  Advised Higgins that several of the names he mentioned were unknown parties to me and that they should stop the harrassment.  We'll see !!!

These scumbags called relatives in another state and gave them the same old schpeel that everyone else on here is getting.  This agency buys debt that is past statute of limitations.  They use deceptive practices and should be stopped.  File a complaint against them with you SAG and with the AG.  If enough people do this, maybe it will get them stopped.

I received a phone call on my answering machine Friday stating that there was an urgent legal matter concerning Mark Hanes and me?? The caller was a woman..Ms. Paulsen representing David Gillette and Tracy Paul. The msg stated that I needed to return the phone call; there would be an assessment of the case Monday. Who calls on Friday and states you have an assessment of a case two days later? I've never received anything by mail and thought the whole thing sounded fishy from the start. These people should pay out the wazoo for what they are doing...crooks!

The caller identified himself with this firm.  After much fishing for information , he told me that he wanted to get a message to an ex- family member and gave the case number concerning a legal issue . I told him I probably would not be able to get this info to her. After some unfruitful questioning from me as to why he was calling us instead of the person that he was trying to locate, he hung up on me.

Called my cell phone several times over the past week, even after I told him that I was not the party they were seeking and instructed him not to call back. Caller refused to identify himself or his company, and the phone is an unlisted number. Utah consumer protection agency found the name of the law firm for me, but told me there was little that they could do about it.

I have been in collections for almost 10 years and its always funny to me how defensive and completely unrealistic people become when they owe someone money. YOU RACKED UP YOUR OWN F****NG DEBT. TAKE CARE OF IT. People constantly thinking that the law will always back them up when they are taking advantage of it in the first place by knowing in the back of their head that they will make this last priority if trouble rises. Quit wining and take care your responsibility instead of pointing the blame in another direction.
