I'M 72 & RETIRED SINCE FEBRUARY 2001.  MY WIFE IS 69 & RETIRED SINCE 31 DECEMBER 1999.

OUR HOME HAS LONG SINCE BEEN PAID OFF AND IS FREE AND CLEAR. (NO MONTHLY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS).

I HAVE 1 MAJOR CREDIT CARD WITH A "ZERO" BALANCE, AND NEVER HAVE BEEN DELINQUENT SINCE RECEIVING THE CREDIT CARD IN 1974.  THE SAME GOES FOR MY WIFE.

WE DON'T PAY RENT.

WE HAVE NO AUTO LOAN(S).

WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIT CARD DEBT.

WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY KIND OF STUDENT LOAN(S).

WE HAVE NO PERSONAL LOAN(S) OUTSTANDING.

Automated calling with message calls all hours of the day and night. I have contacted them repeatedly to stop. I tried to tell them there is no one with that name living here and that I am also on a do not call list repeatedly, but they continue to call even more frequently. There is no way to choose do not call list option on their automated recording to stop these disruptive calls all day and night. I'm loosing sleep over always answering the phone from 877 359-8714 Alpha Recovery Corp.
Does the do not call list system work? Aren't companies suppose to have an option to put callers on a do not call list option on their recordings they call with?

We have ZERO debt and have had ZERO for many years ---
They Called our Cell number at 7:57 p for 32 sec -- garbled message but clearly 1) had someone else as the targeted name -- 2) did not clearly pronounce their company name (found name via our cell provider) and 3) did not clearly pronounce the caller's name but did give an extension number (#111) to call TODAY.

Cell company thought it was a legit business -- until they started looking at BBB site --

A very sarcastic young man (Mr. Clark) answered the returned call concerning the call we had just recieved. Have no idea why our phone number is on the debt account he said they had. This isn't the first time we have gotten calls and have tried to make them understand we have no connection with any debt or whoever the person is they are attempting to get in touch with and have no idea why they keep calling us after we have made it very plain we don't have any idea what they are talking about. We are tired of being harrassed by these people and will contact a lawyer to put a stop to it.

They now have 7 complaints at the BBB. I just filed one. They called me on a friday and this following Tuesday they decided to call every relative of mine they could. I didn't think you were allowed to do that if you had contact information for the person you were trying to reach, which they obviously have since they reached me. What unprofessionalism. Very Disgusted with their practices.

Just in case anyone was interested in this information.

If they collect for the third party who bought the old debit, I doubt they actually can validate the debt.  Just telling you what the balance you owe to the third party is not debit validation.  Depending on the age of the debit, check with your state attorny generals office for the statue of limitations on the collection.

They have 4 employes, they help the third party companies who by old debt collect on the debt they buy.  They were founded in 2010.  They are NOT BBB accredited and have 5 complaints filed against them with the BBB.

Alpa Recovery Corp - Collection agency that leaves an auto generated message and tells you not to listen to the message unless you are the person they are trying to reach.  They called using the following number 775-636-8584.  How professional can this company be if the use a local number then direct you to call another number in another state?  According to a previous posting they are out of CO.

Called back..told me hours open..leave name and number. Did not repond to that..They called me..guess they can call me back..

No information left as to what the original debtor company is/was.  Recorded message only.
