It IS a scam when you are SOLICITING individuals with half or partial info. I received a letter from FFRC stating that they could obtain my refund. They made sure to 'bold' the possibility of court costs and defendant fees reducing my bond, but neglected and even HID the FACT that they, themselves (FFRC) charge a large 'processing' fee for the services THEY solicit. I am livid, not because of the fee, but because it was unbeknownst, hidden, and now misconstrued upon my conversation with their phone rep. STAY AWAY!! FAR AWAY

Did you have any luck with this claim? We are looking in to the same matter.

got the letter today the new number is 1855 893 7370
anonymous 2013-05-31 15:39:30 Unknown
you do realize that it shows your writing from FFRC right? lol your not proving or providing anything. all the positive comments on here are from one of your people and all the negative ones are from us people that don't work for your company. tell us your REAL phone number and website and what you REALLY do and maybe you would be found legit...

I returned this document to FFRC in May of 2012 and when I followed up in August of 2012 they told me that they no longer had access to Bexar County refunds and that they could not get my refund. I have now learned that Bexar County did receive my paperwork from them and paid out $950.00 in a check to them on 6-2-12. I have been calling the 1-877-372-8313 and it has nothing but a busy signal. I have never received a check from FFRC. They simply stole my money. Does anyone have a current letter that has a new number on it?
Lizzy78 2013-02-03 08:40:37 Unknown
It in INDEED A SCAM! I fell for it! I also received a letter from them, sent back everything they asked for, and now, 2 months later, still no refund. But instead, I'm NOW receiving fraudulent letters from Linebarger, Goggan & Sampson trying to collect on tickets I've already paid in 2007, coincidence? I think NOT¡
Jenn79 2012-06-30 22:40:49 Unknown
So I can go up to office to get refunded for a cash bond
que 2012-06-14 04:19:49 Unknown
the letter looks so un-professional. i got this letter but the thing is that i never done a bail bond. so how can this be real?
LARRY F. 2012-05-09 14:39:08 Unknown
THIS SEEMS LIKE HUGE SCAM! I SENT MY NOTARIZED LETTER OFF 2 MONTHS AGO AND I HAVEN'T RECEIVED AND MONETARY BENEFITS.......THIS IS STRAIGHT UP LYING TO THE PUBLIC AS USUAL!
Mich 2012-04-13 21:16:13 Unknown
This is def a scam. You can get your bond from the courts BY DIRECTLY CONTACTING THEM. This is a pointless middle man that scam people out of 20% of their money. Don't fall for it! Just check your county website and look for the tab that has bond release information and you can receive THE FULL bond amount w/o using these BAST**DS
Mich 2012-04-13 21:14:23 Unknown
Its a scam b/c you can go directly to the bond release website for your specific county and directly get your bond refund. The company is a needless middle man that takes 20% in fees w/o being necessary. You can get the COMPLETE refund directly from the county.

Hi, I recieved that letter too.I sent it back 2 months ago.I ve beening calling everyday leaving messages and no one will return my calls. So i think i will call Fox 4 on them.
chris 2011-12-28 02:55:00 Unknown
I consider it a scam because FFRC is deliberately vague in its correspondence in an attempt to take advantage of people that are unaware that they are able to recover the funds on their own.
In very small print on the letter, they state that they are a private refunding agency and not part of any government agency. However, the letter is devoid of any information regarding the cost of their "process and handling" fees.
These bottom feeder companies are a s*** stain on the underwear of life.

First, I am a lawyer and I will gladly produce my bar number and firm name. The gentleman claiming to work for "one of the largest Law Firms in Dallas" is not a lawyer. Not lawyer working for a large, top notch law firm would capitalize the term "law firm". "Law firm" is not a proper noun and should not be capitalized. He is a spammer most likely connected to this operation.
I focus primarily on real estate transactional work, but I help friends and family with small criminal matters when necessary. One of my friends got a DWI last year and posted a cash bond to get out of jail. His case was recently dismissed and case dismissals are public records.
This is how I see this scam working: since dismissals are public records, they review dismissal records and send notice to anyone that posted a cash bond. That notice is the letter you all received stating you have a bond. They then ask you to complete the power of attorney and release forms, and they go and get your money.
Nothing in the documents my client received contained any written promise that FFRC would return the money to my client, nor did it detail the cost for their services. They obviously would not provide this service for free, thus, this is a scam designed to trick people into signing the paperwork so they can run off with all or part of your money.
All the people that wonder how they got your name when the bond was returned years ago: they are reviewing court records to see if a bond was posted, but I would bet they do not look deep enough to determine whether the bond was released. All it costs them is bulk mail postage. Postage is cheaper then paying someone to research properly. They probably figure that anyone that already recovered their bond will simply ignore the letter.

I agree with your comments. Just received (11/06/2011) a letter from FFRC Refund Department at 6565 N. MacArthur Blvd, Ste 225, Dallas, TX 75039. Tried calling the listed phone number (800) 936-6769 but only got an answering machine asking me to leave my name and phone#. The supposed Bond refund was for a speeding ticket my grandson received in 2007 and which was refunded when the case was dismissed.
FFRC is claiming that they can get me between $355 and $475 of the original $500 bond. They claim that the deductions are based on "State/Government fees, unpaid court costs, fines and processing fees". I suspect they are blanketing various markets with these letters, hoping that some of the individual bonds have not been claimed, and then taking their cut under the guise of the deductions listed in their letter.

I got it, they for real but could be a lot of scamers in the web, look out for them, I checked the office in Macarthur, Dallas, was good, and my soon check the adrees in El Paso, it s ok, he hired them with out telling me anything, but be carefull, seems there are some other people with this procedure, whom are scamers, by the way, these ones do not ask for money upfront.
juan carlos 2011-05-25 18:29:32 Unknown
Yes, I verified this adress and is a nice building, nice office and they do accept this kind of letters but they do not send them, they come from another office, the office in El Paso is real as well, my son hired them to reimburse some bail bond money he had, hope this work for you, but always be careful for scamers. They have to have more customer service quality, if they want to represent you, ask them to cantact you personally. Good Luck
