This number has been calling my neighbor trying to reach me! How they put that phone number together with   any of my 411 is impossible except that you all used the Wright Directory and then illegally called others at my address, but with different apartment numbers.. I do not and have never used my neighbor's phone number on any officials documents such as hospitalizations, reaching family, etc. This is an AT&T collection attempt because I separated myself from AT&T, paid my last bill, and about a month ago I bundled phone, Net  and cable  in one bill for much less than anybody's price on bundled or separate accounts for each of those three services. To think, I've been waiting for your band width to increase substantially and then plan to come back to AT&T immediately. That might not happen now. These robo-calls for a non-existent debt going to neighbors is just too outrageous not to file complaints to every agency which may help and/or at least listen  and have   a plan to get these calls to stop. Both numbers are on the "no-call" list for both state and federal. I will have to begin with the feds, the FCC,  as well as any other place online that exists for consumer complaints such as this one. The FCC works surprisingly fast in such                    complaints. Also, the robo-caller device makes it impossible to hear what company is calling. I only got it from googling the phone number. From other comments left here (telling us  they're trying to make like they're a collection agency for AT&T so, I indicated that below. Or maybe they're not affiliated, but I have absolutely no intention of sending them one thin dime in any case. I am most furious that they have been calling my neighbor over and over looking for me. Oh, what she must think of me! But I would never use her information on any sort of form as might be required for an AT&T account. Unless you send me an immediate e-mail AS WELL AS a snail-mail statement by Wednesday, March 20, 2013, confirming there is NO reason to attempt collection from me via telephone, and you will delete my neighbor's phone number, AND my own IMMEDIATELY, and admit this is an error solely on the shoulders of your company and those with titled positions within the company ... only then, might there be no further legal actions brought against you. I am having great difficultly dropping a slander lawsuit of my own. To send me the apology letters I described above, there may not be further complaints filed with my state's Dept. of Consumer Protection, the Better Business Bureau, and the FCC. Yes, the feds, since you made these demands via telephone lines.  
Thank you very kindly for your time and effort. I'm anxiously awaiting word of WTH is going on. Oh, and in the apology letter, I need you to put in writing that you will no longer call my neighbor(s). Failure to do so WILL result in a rush of complaints beginning with the feds, who don't take this kind of thing lightly.  
So, if you e- mail and snail mail me by 3/20/13 (NO PHONE CALLS!) that this was a mistake, made totally at your official  "sweatshop" phone room and executive offices (Uh-Hmm), that the efforts on your part. which was made especially egregious by calling my neighbor(s) to collect a non-existent debt, and admit that you all obtained my neighbor's 411 via the Wright Directory since it was an apartment building and just began calling building residents willy-nilly AND that this is a non-existent debt, and a sincere apology to both my neighbors and myself you might not ever hear from me again. But keep up with these bogus collection attempts about me to my neighbors and I will sue you via every agency I can  leave a file with, but I'll begin with the FCC who doesn't take kindly to  actions you have been attempting with me and will be most anxious to  bring you into a courtroom AND THEY WILL WIN. In the meantime, I demand you cease  the phone interruptions to  neighbors and myself which are both on the no-call list.Since you are not attempting to collect a legitimate debt, you must stop all of these actions at once.
Again, thank you for your time and effort. You have no idea how long I had to breath deep, exhale slowly, before I could e-mail you leaving out all of the profanity I uttered aloud when my neighbor told me she was getting calls for me AND was told it was an attempt to pay a debt. Oh no! That is NOT legal and you certainly should know about it.

I received a call from this number. A man was talking to someone else when I answered. Very unproffesional. He told me he was a debt collector for ATT. He asked me to pay the debt of $168 before it went on my credit report. I told him to send something in the mail and I hung up.

First off a debt collector is required to send you mail. Second I know all my ATT bills are paid.

These calls are anoying!  BUT MORE THAN THAT>>>ILLEGAL!  

I am calling the Fair Debt & Collections Department through my bank to stop these harassing, nonsensical calls.   I NEVER USED ATT .  However, they must be triangulating calls for those who we might call, because I did get a call about a neighbor and they asked PRIVATE INFORMATION questions!  HEADS UP!   DO NOT SPEAK TO THESE CONS!!

Got a call from them saying that i need to resolve a matter. Same thing AT&T but it was about a bill from 2003. The bill in question was taken care of back in 2003. I didnt admit to it and told them they had the wrong person and to please stop calling..

These people need to comply with the laws governing their business conduct.

Called me in January about a bill for ATT I didnt owe. Said I needed to file a letter of dispute. I contacted ATT and was told I owe nothing. Sent a lette to ESOCCA and told them what ATT said. Showed them  a receipt for a refuend from ATT when I closed my account. Still calling. Said they are filing against my credit report. Contacted BBB and they told me to file suit if they do.

Received a voicemail from this number to call back about collection on a debt by a company called EOS.  I did not call because I don't have any information on a debt nor company by this name.  I checked this web site and it seems the same thing is happening to others seeking personal identification information.

They are calling me at my work phone - which is NOT in my name nor in the name of the person they claim  they are trying to contact (no such person has ever worked here).

It looks like they are either fishing, or not doing their homework.

I recently have been plagued with these calls and just told them to F`off before I found this site!
I was an AT&T customer for years, then I relocated and they couldn't provide decent service in my area..(being kind here)
I paid my final bill and have the copies that I sent to their collection agencies. Somehow they claim that I still owe them another $70!
I saved all my bills and cancelled checks and tried proving it
to theses idiots at their collection agency, but the harassment continues. Now they are using this 8773840290 number and call me constantly.

This call is from EOS CCA. It's a AT&T debt collector. I have been dealing with AT&T for 4 months on a stupid mistake that they did on my bill... Originally sent to Ameritech Business Credit & Collections and now this company... Apparently AT&T has nothing better to do with $10.14...........REALLY?!?!?!?

I called it back to tell them to stop calling me and there is no one in the office! Ha! Ridiculous! There was a voice message telling me to leave my name and number, then would get back to me! I'm getting called and I'm not an AT&T customer.  I refuse to call back a recording.

receiving calls once a day now, called back numerous times and I am still told that my phone number is not in the system.  Found the company initializing the calls, Credit PAC of tinley park, IL.  Filed a complaint with the BBB against them and am waiting for a response after nothing in ten days from the first BBB complaint...extremely annoying...anybody know any other actions I can take, i.e. legal action?

Last night was the first time I received a call from this number on my cell phone. I let it go to voicemail. They left the same message they left with everybody else. After reading these complaints I will not be calling them back. I will be calling the Federal Trade Comm. If ATT is giving them phone records of numbers called that would be a violation of the privicy act. And that is a ten grand fine. I will be filing a complaint and advise everyone else to do the same. CCA & ATT are both guilty. Mabyee if enough complaints are lodged they will stop calling and harrassing people.

I've been out of town for a few weeks and got the message 6 or 7 time on my recorder.  I'm not an AT&T customer.  What do they want?

Thanks for the advice in this forum. I guess it isn't a scam even though it definitely seems like one. I called them back and they were very nice and I cleared up my last bill with AT&T.

I just got a phone call from my 13yr old brother telling me that some man called with a very important urgent message for my husband. I am so glad i looked at this site...i am outraged that they called him. We have been trying to figure out how they got his number. thanx alot to everyone who posted comments they were a huge help. i want to contact someone to make this harassment stop, they have no right going through peoples call records and randomly calling people.

Hi I work for cca- I have never eard anyone in my office (the at&T side) ever talk to someone like that I work in ***-*** so maybe we dont get u guys but the way WE are taught is more of a customer service...Which everyone in my office all 11 of us are! And IT IS NOT AGAINST THE LAW FOR AT&T TO PULL #S OFF UR PHONEBILL...BC they do own the company!!! THere is a new rule that we are doing now and i will advsie u of this...We cannot call the "skip tracing" #s more than twice a month and cannot leave vmails on those#s unless they have ur # as an actual contact# (if u ever lived with them/married/ect) if thats the case U NEED TO CALL US BACK to remove the# we cannot see the# u are calling in so please don't make it harder than it is...If its a wrong# simply say" hi im recieving calls for someone and its the wrong number" the cca rep will ask for ur# b.c unfotunalty we are NOT mind readers. we will then mark the letter "B" by the# and the computer will automatically remove the# thats all u need to do.....If u dont want to be harassed then call us an let us know its the wrong#!! And I know that some of you guys are lying about you guys calling and asking us to remove the # (unless you ARE the debtor) and we don't. that makes no since theres no reason for us not to remove ur # why waste our time talking to u anymore! ya kno? Got a call from these people tonight. I blame AT&T for the trouble. First they screwed up my account information and it took TWO WEEKS to get the internet set up I wanted. They had to cancel my first account and set up a new one just to straighten it out. They billed me for the first account anyway and I had to call to get that cleared. Apparently, despite having called THREE TIMES and being reassured THREE TIMES that everything was taken care of and no collections would be issued I am getting calls from a collection agency. I HATE AT&T and DO NOT recommend them for anything to anyone. They are completely incompetent.

I am personally an AT & T customer. Up until last year, I have never had a problem with the company, but the past four months have been especially trying. I have never been late on a payment, been one to call & complain, nothing. I work for a national company that uses collection agencies to collect past debts from customers, so I know what it is like to be on that end of the phone call. I have not received these calls at any of my personal numbers, but do, however, frequently get them at my place of business. We have NEVER had a customer or employee by the name of Tammy (or Tami?) S***** and the number that your people keep calling has been our telephone since 1972 when we started the company. When I try to call the number back, it tells me that it is no longer in service & to call the new national numbe 10-15-15-8000...not a valid, working number. I receive enough legitamate phone calls during the day and do not want to be hassled any more with this s***. There HAS to be a way to make the calls stop. Yes, it is illegal to use someones phone records to create your own "phone tree" to try to collect a debt. If it doesn't stop, hopefully enough people will report you to the BBB and sue the living H*** out of you for harrassement.

Been getting these for months looking for a name I never heard of. After coming here, i decided to call back. Rep answered quick, asked for my number, I gave it to her, she asked if I was the name I had never heard of. I told her no, have no clue who that person is. She apologized, said she would remove my number from that persons file and that was it. If it does not stop, I'll post back here!

Ive had many of these calls, from calling and hanging up, leaving messages like urgent call,also when returning calls either their disconnected or some service in another state, last one was a carpet cleaning in Mn were in calif.
I also got a call one day say on the caller id the same number numerous times had called in the week, so i 69d them,i asked who was i talking to they repeated what i had said , i said excuse me but you have called my phone NUMEROUS times, she claimed they didn't i at this time was feed up with all this BS so i said listen you did, its on my id caller which i pay for to give me this info. she said if you call and harass us again we'l call the police, POLICE have you bumped your head YOU have been calling me, i said go ahead....then shortly after i got the call again and 69d the call was their name and number , this time a guy answered and said if you do not stop harassing my wife and us i will call the police, I was smoking and told him if you didn't call you need to call and report it , he said no i am not going to do it you do it, i told him i believe it was his phone which he pays for it and its not my place to call about his number, he made his threat again calling police , i said call them..
So i called AY&T, and was told their are many who can get away with this , its legal, i guess congress/FCC has left loop holes for them to get around stuff like this. BUT i said Listen i pay for this phone service and this number is assigned to me, how can they use MY number to harass other people or visa versa ? This is BS......
Now i was brought up hardcore, and have been locked up for almost thirty years and i do NOT put up with peoples BS very well and i can rest you im NOT going to do anything BUT at one time i would without any hesitation not caring just how tough one is or isn't ive dealt with them BUT lets role play this.
People call your home time after time, you see it on you id caller JOHN SMITH 123-123-1234, John smith answeres you ask for him to stop, he tells you F you stopping calling or i will either Beat your bee hind or call the police, NO you are a hot head and hes lite the fuss because you are NOT one who takes threats and are the one who will research his address since you have his name and phone , he comes out with attitude and you smoke him, aka:kill him....NOW this could happen in real life or someone get hurt...ALL because of WHAT ???
U say and have his name and number that he called you also think hes calling you, the other person thinks your some weird O and threats you , and later you find out the truth of all this...Was Some collector can use ANYONES phone to harass someone else with a number were assigned to and pay for , HUMMMMMMMMM
O also AT&A likes to wash their hands in this and pass you on to the annoyance center, which can only set a trap for 2 weeks, people who know about this will stop calling until they know its clear to call  ;-(  So what good is that ?
NOW for the record, Im a very nice guy ;-) almost 20 years Clean n Sober, who won FULL custody of my daughter when she was 6 1/2 mos who now is 20 and has made me a proud pappi...BUT i am human and still learning life it not all that easy without all the other, and still people tend to piss me off and it triggers anger in me because im just trying to live a good life...

How can the number show up as one business but then turn out to be a collection agency?  I canceled with AT&T last November and went with a new provider, which AT&T had to relinquish the number to, and yet I am still receiving monthly bills for a service I no longer have.  I decided to let them send it since no one would listen and stop billing me, my goal, to make AT&T look like idiots since I have proof I have no used them since 11-15-2010.  So, in getting back to my original question, isn't posing as another business along the lines of deceptive practice or even fraud?

To  800 SERVICE (as it appears on my ph ID :  STOP, STOP harassing me!!  I got this new # 2months ago and it has been a nightmare since.  They use a quite a number of variations on the last 4 digits of the # they call from.  They leave urgent messages and when returning the call you are directed to wait and for the background noise is a call center (hence the different, infinite variations on the last 4 digits of their #.  They put you on hold, when they answer the call, it was meant for somebody else.  No apology once they get the facts.  Next day, they call back using the same tactics. Please help!!  Somebody stop this abuse!  They call at all hours.  Enough!!!

BU***HIT..I just spoke to someone in your office that was such a B***H that if i could reach through the phone and snatch her rude a**, her neck would still be in my receiver. After being as nice as i possibly can she still got nasty. MY BILL IS PAID!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE AN ATTORNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE SAYS TO TAPE THE CALLS and each and EVERY call i get from you people I RECORD including the B***H. She says she wont consent to the release but it looks like she will be SUEING ME. Someone  WILL hear all conversations I HAVE with you people.
And that not seeing the number is crock. The women told me all my info when she came on the phone.I only gave her my first name.
