This number calls frequently and then hangs up with no message.

Got one today from a restricted number. I don't remember the name of the "person" on the automated message but I took down the number which was 1-877-384-9980. I called the REAL Charter number to get information and the guy on the line said it probably was them since, as it turns out,  I WAS late on my brand new Charter hook-up. I some how hadn't received my bill in the mail so I tried to clear it up with the guy and he said it should be fine and that my new bill (which should be arriving any day now) will reflect the charges plus the new month. While I was on the phone with him I got my account number so I could create a new online account and pay the bill. Got off the phone and went to do so, only to find out I also needed the pin number so I thought "whatever, I'll wait for the bill and get it from that when I receive it." Thought nothing of it, only to be called like an hour later by ANOTHER restricted number. Figured I'd answer it that time and it was from a woman named "Gauri Johnson"... I guess they're getting creative because it's "Taylor" this time. I assume the Indian accent would have made her sound silly going by "Taylor." So yeah, I told her that I had JUST spoken to someone about it and she said they had nothing on record of the call and that if I paid right then on the phone they'd remove the sur-charge fee for the phone payment. Yeah, I was like "no, I'm not paying on the phone for a bill I don't have in my possession. I'll pay it online when I receive it." She proceeded to tell me that if I hung up, she'd probably have to disconnect my internet. I told her she better not and that my billing address isn't even coming to my current address. It goes to another one. She said they had it. I told her to tell it to me... guess what? She hung up on me. Yeah... great. So now I'm pissed and I call the REAL Charter number again and tell them I'm being harassed by these people and that it sounds shady. They said they had no record of that call. I gave the name of the woman and the number to them and would research it. Also, they were really cool, telling me I still had a grace period to pay it. They were nice enough to give me my pin over the phone so I registered right then online and paid my bill. All is well now and I hope they report this number. I'm really glad I've been able to find others having this issue from the SAME number.

It's has to be a scam right? I haven't had a cable bill in over a year, and why would the number come up blocked?? something's real fishy here

Calling my 14 year old  daughters new cell phone.  ID shows up as "unavailable".  At first they were just hanging up.  Now they are leaving message to call them at 877-384-9980.  I called this number and they answer as "Charter Internet" saying they are trying to collect a past debt.  They apologized and stated this was a contact number they had for a debt, and I needed to contact our phone company and CHANGE  my daughter's telephone number. They are on crack!  Talked to a supervisor, after that comment from customer service rep, and he assured me her phone number would be removed from their system.  Keeping fingers crossed...but not overly hopeful.

Taylor Johnson with important message regarding Charter account. I haven't been a customer of theirs in 10 years. I also received a text message yesterday saying the same thing. Not responding or calling back. All research done indicates it is a scam.

Been getting a call from an "Unavailable" number EVERY DAY, including weekends, and sometimes twice a day. I don't answer unavailable numbers, and the last two times there was an automated message left saying it was charter and i need to call this number for an important matter. Um. I don't think so. My bill is paid and I don't trust this at all.

I am getting voice messages and calls and I do not have an acct and never have.

Message from Taylor Johnson on behalf of Charter Communications saying "there is an important service message for me regarding my account."  Called the main charter number and went through to customer service and they said it wasn't them that called.  Don't return call and give your information to them.

Charter is a cable internet, phone, TV service.  i do not have cable or a land line phone and my internet service is covered by another company.  This is a scam to sell you their services.

I received a voice mail from "Unknown".  The message said "Hi this is Taylor Johnson calling on behalf of the Charter Customer Service department. Could you please call us back at 1-877-384-9980."
I don't use Charter - never have and probably never will.
Sounds fishy to me, or should I say smells fishy.
I suppose someone could have given Charter my phone number as theirs???

I was checking my voicemail, and my caller ID indicated unknown number/name but whoever it was left a mess'g to call 877-384-9980 no purpose, for indicated for the call. so I guess I want never know who the characters are.

They keep calling me but when I answer they hang up

they just called me didnt answer called back it was about my currently due bill im guessing? its auto pay so i never owe anything...

it's a company called Hudson and Keys they are debt collectors

Called and when I answered they hung up....don't know!
