this company told me their name was dcm...i think they are bogus...they are rude and say things that no companies phone reps could say over the phone and keep their job...then the guy tells me that hes the director...how many directors of companies do you know that still answer the phones!!!! The first rep hung up the phone when i asked if it was a scam!!!

They called and gave a Case number of some kind, threatened to deliver papers to my home or place of employment. I have heard of these scams before so I have ignored the calls. They have left 3 messages, one male caller, one female and they end the call the same way..."Good Luck" Creepy if you ask me.

They keep calling me!! And I'm not even trying to dodge the calls I'll answer and they hang up and their voicemails are not voicemails. Its dead air. I get them calling between 4 and 6 times a day. Today when I answered I didn't even bother saying hello - I said "speak" - a few moments in silence and I said again "speak now damnit or stop calling" and a guy came on. Very unprofessional!! Said is this lily? I response with I'm sorry, who is calling? From there he said Lily I know this is you. I responded with I'm not in the mood for these game sir, you called me I'm asking with whom am I speaking with? This dimwit answered me back with " lily lily lily lily lily that's your name I know it's you and I'll call you back all day long" and lost the call. I called back, and a female answers - with a shy non confident hello and I asked who I was speaking with, she asked why who am I? I responded with you should teach your employes a thing or two about the fdcpa. Let he know how her employe treated me and advised her I would have stayed on the phone to make an arrangement however he was rude and hung up on me" - I asked her for her name and address and I was told no- and call was lost. To the person above me in comments no you can't just verbally ask them to stop calling and they have to as you stated you have to write them a written letter to Ceist and desist. However, be careful - garnishments happen to school loans and hospital bills. But don't let them fool you - as long as you are paying SOMETHING on these accounts - they have to apply it. That doesn't work the same for credit cards or payday loans stuff like that. If these idiots would be professional they could have gotten some type of payment from me by now.

I got a call just now and last week. It was a Miss Daniels from "Federal Processing". Asked for me to call immediately or my attorney call. The 877 number is what she left to call her back, but the number that came through my phone was a 210 number. If they are UofP, then there is no reason for them to call me because I never attended that school.
I was scammed by a company that scared the hell out me back in March by saying they were sending a process server out to my place of business or home if I didn't call. Sucks, but now that I've done more research, I'm not answering or calling any of these numbers back again!

It is the UoP money collectors. We were both taking the Hospitality, Travel & Tourism Degree; we moved to a resort town for a job - NOT one business acknowledges UoP as a legitimate school. We had the worst time even getting FAFSA to acknowledge them. If you tell them NOT to call you, by law if they call you back - report them to the Federal Communication Commission. When it comes time for their renewal of permission to continue to use the toll free number they will be denied or will have to pay heavy fines. Along with any fines they incur between now and then.

They have called me like a million times and the one time I picked up they told me they were calling for UofP and asked for my social security number.
Why would they immediately ask for my social.?
I told them I wasn't gonna give them my social unless they gave me a website of who they were or verified in some way that they were part of University of Phoenix. they didnt even say what company they were they just said they were part of UofP and they threatened to take my money from my bank and if I didn't pay my fees in the next month that they would send me a court order to pay it, which doesn't make sense. I just want them to leave me the hell alone

I NEVER answer ANY 1-800, 1-877 or etc numbers when they call. Tonight, these clowns called my cell phone, and I didn't answer....but you can be SURE the next time they call, I am going to have a nice speech all prepared and ready to go.
muneca 2012-02-24 01:13:08 Unknown
ugh these people call me all the time....ALL THE TIME....i tell them they have the wrong number...they call anyway...they never ever leave a voicemail....
La Princesa 2012-02-22 19:54:26 Unknown
These people keep calling me over and over again. at least 10 times a day. I don't know what they want or why. I am getting sick of it. I will continue to report them for as many times as I have to for harrassment.
Kitty 2011-12-30 04:22:08 Unknown
Thanks for that tidbit of info Katie...that helps to explain to me why suddenly I had a bill with UoP and they're blowing my phone up...
I never pick up for 800 #s, and unknowns and block/private #s are automatically blocked for me by my phone company...so I never really know why any of these callers call me anyway.

Katie 2011-08-29 16:38:44 Debt Collector
This is University of Phoenix. If you drop out of a course you have to pay them back...and they refund your financial aid...terribly expensive....$1,095 per CLASS. :(

These "mofos" have called my phone at least 100 times in the past three weeks, no exaggeration. I never answer, but the next time they call someone is going to get a tongue lashing. I don't appreciate these imbeciles calling my phone all times of the day.
Cloud 2011-08-01 18:22:37 Unknown

Just had a phone call on my CELL phone and almost immediately she tried to confirm my last four of my SS "for security". She also said it was regarding my UofP acount.
I refused to give her any info and told her I have no business with the UofP.
I nor any of my family go or have ever gone to UofP.
After I told her that, she asked if I had ever lived at some address I never heard of. When I told her no she stammered a bit and hung up with no goodbye or sorry or anything.
Either it is a scam where they have hacked and acqiured your name, phone, and maybe an address and are looking for more personal info or maybe someone sold some info to UofP students to use to get student loans and they are now defaulted.
The latter seems less likely as I monitor my credit and there have been no apps (at least not on my SS -- can't say if my name and a bogus SS were used or not.)

They started calling me about a week ago, sometimes as early as 7 am! I was told, as well, that my account with University of Phoenix had been sent to them to collect payment. They said that the last payment that I made to the University had not posted to my account and that I needed to go onto their website (that links to the University) and make a payment there. I refused. I logged into my University of Phoenix account and my payment had in fact posted and had been debited from my bank account. I don't know what they are trying to pull here.... There were very nasty, aggressive, and flat out rude!
Tee 2011-04-27 14:07:59 Unknown
It was a collection agency. They called me about my loan with Phoenix University. They will push you around and threaten you to pay with your checking account.
