Jacques, I am 'almost' incliened to agree with you. But since I do not see a complaint from you on this site I can not. Instead, I can explain to you that these people have all been grossly harrassed by illeagle scammers. Now you mention this fellow (les Hobbitt) and his intensity for harrassing right back the very same scamming agressors that persued him AND ME for that matter along with everyone else on this 'well informed' bulliten board. I wish I had the energy. I simply block numbers and report to FTC (which needs a number of complaints before they act). I received a call too from them. They remind me of Mayberry. The even offered me some blueberry pie. They explained to me that i owed 97 million dollars and we were able to discuss like professional escorts a way to settle for just half. Isn't that great? Why in fact, one of their p1mps knew one of my p1mps and they actually spent some quality time in pri$on and shared a Ce11. They loved eachother and constant male bonding gave eachother A1DS. They stole 10,000$ from my mother, forcing me to pay judgements I had against me on my credit report.  My mother is in her 80s and i wasn't untill i threatened to go to the local and national news, facebook and every law enforcement agency did I get my mothers money back.  Oh and I only received barely half of it, but so be it.  I figured i'm lucky I even got that much back.  It took me 2 months to even get a penny back to begin with.  COMPLETE SCAMMMM ARTISTS! BY THE WAY obviously you just posted something showing that the company the person owns is legitimate.  Registered in NYS as a legitimate business.  and trust us you have someones name and address.  they have your name address and social security number along with other personal information.  If they are scum bags or whatever you people think, do you think its smart to post something like that and piss them off when they have more information on you.  tis tis.....i guess lessons learned are lessons taught :)

i also received a call from them, asked to get something sent to me showing proof of what i owed, and of course they quickly emailed me something,,,,,with an old address i had. After doing all these google searches to see if they were scammers, i then decide i would do 1 more thing to double check. So i informed them that i had a friend who was willing to help me pay the entire balance in full, but only by money order or bank certified cashiers check ,,,,(so they wouldn't sue me and take me to court, because i didn't have the funds, as i am currently unemployed) & what do you know, DING DING DING !!!!! just as i expected and how everyone else stated, they're a scam. They refused my payment offer, even of the entire balance, said they could only do debit credit or prepaid cards. !!!! I was then told unless i sent payment in within 48hrs, they would take me to court and pursue it there....And kept threatening me.  After reading a few previous posts, i decide to call NY State Attorney Generals office, and sure enough, they have heard of the name "Delaney, Ruben & Stein", and informed me no to give them any $$$, and if i wanted, i could file a complaint against them. This research has really helped me out....I only defaulted partially on the loan because i became unemployed, not intentionally.

These bozos called my inlaws & said that I had to contact them ( only they use 888-598-5330 now but use delaney ruben & stein as there fake firm) because I had an old payday loan (cashnetusa) from 2008 the original amount was $1100.00 w/ all the late fees it was now up to $1742.00 but they would except a settlement for 2 payments of $722.00. When I asked if they could accept a certified check or money order he replied no no that's a silly question we'd be checking our mail everyday for tjose to come in we only accept credit or debit. These people must think I have idiot across my forehead no crap they only take those its not traceable that's why and what legitimate law firm does not have a physical address. I am not falling for a bunch of BS from some deadbeat trying to take money I don't even have. Get a real job people like everyone has that you are trying to scam over.

anyone being threatened with court action, criminal or civil penalites or lawsuits, should file a complaint with the New York State Attorney General's office by calling 716-853-8404.   This is NOT a  lawfirm,they cannot sue you, cannot arrest you.  Most likely have no authorization to collect debt in your state either. They cannot falsely threaten you to get you to pay.  Failure to pay a debt (payday loan included) is NEVER a criminal act, and cannot be treated as one.

These guys are debt collectors, looking for my 40 year old daughter who lives 2000 miles from me. They are harassing the parents of the adults they are looking for. Most of the posts you read here about how professional they were, are just bogus posts that they wrote themselves to fool people who look up unknown numbers before answering.
