It's a credit card scam-  the company is something called "Debt Free Life", promising to use money from the US stimulus package to get you a credit card rate of 0% to %5.9%.

Thats funny I don't even own a card.

This scammer is spoofing.  My caller ID shows the actual number making the call to be 14029820479.

I have no idea who this is.

I saw this number in a message about number 402-982-0479 and thought that I would search for anything by this 877 number and bingo, here it is.

Using  877-392-0681 as the 'name' or message.  Dialing address  -Nebraska- 402-982-0479.

Stop calling this business.  It is very annoying!!!!  Also, 2 numbers appeared on caller ID, 877-392-0681and 402-982-0479.

Received a call from this number tonight.
No message... but they are calling my 11 year olds phone number.

They have a long history of fraud.  For example, they used to typo-squat Wachovia bank.  If you made an error and went to wacovia.com, you got their bogus web site.

Everybody please go to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2 and file a complaint.  If the FCC gets enough of these, they will take action.

877-392-0681 just called my work phone, no message, when I called back an automated message plays from 'molly with credit card services' encouraging me to apply to lower my interest rate if I have $5,000 or more in credit card debt. If you select prompt '1' you can speak with a representative. I spoke with Jack with Debt Free for Life, when I asked that they not call this number again (it's my office #, I have no idea how they got it) he hung up on me. I called back again and spoke with Rodger and he agreed to remove me from their calling list.

I received a call from this number 877-392-0681 ...didn't pick up and they left no messages.
I redialed the number and a voice-recorded person was on the line speaking about "Credit Card Services."
I just hung up the phone.

Today Evening I got a call from this number. I could not understand what for they are spamming and what they want to explain.

Called after normal business hours in Central time zone. I did not answer, declined the call and received no voicemail message.

Yesterday, my caller ID picks 877.392.0681 as unknown and left no message.

I received a call from this company at my work. They gave me the same line as isaac32767. I had gotten this message on my cell too. I was curious.

The operator wanted to know all of my credit card debt and interest rates. I refused to tell him unless he told me who he worked for (I had already asked this three times without a clear answer). He kept saying something about being with the federal reserve. When I asked him if he was a direct employee of the federal reserve (Yeah, right! The Fed calls me at work to lower my credit card debt!) he said he worked fo Debt Free for Life. I told him he wasn't getting anything out of me and he hung up on me.

Clearly a scam.

"This is Rachel at Card Holder Services. Calling in reference to your current credit card account. There are no problems  currently with your account. It is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9 percent. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press the number 1 on your phone now to speak with the live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press the number 2 to discontinue further notices. Thank you. Have a great day."

Uh, Rachel, I don't have *any* credit cards, you spamming *****.

I got a call from them just now. No voicemail.

I didn't pick this up; they didn't leave a message.

Didn't pick up. No message left. I'm guessing they just started using this number since there are only a few posts.

I called the number just a minute ago and it looks like it's some group trying to "lower" your credit card rates if you have 2 cards and over $5,000 in credit card debt.

I did today. No idea who it is. Didn't leave a voicemail and when I called them after hours their voiemail doesn't say who they are.
