I never even spoke to them but I started receiving magazines that no one in my house ordered and we had no idea where they came from.  Come to find out they had made 3 unauthorized charges on my account under United Benefit Services.  One for 1.95 and 2 for 39.95.  It totally screwed my account up and ended up causing us to have NSF charges because I had no idea these charges were being put on my account. I had to do a google search until I found this website with the phone number the bank gave me so watch out for these charges even if they never contacted you.

Same issue.  I made a phone call back in December, 2013 to 877 392 6630 to cancel, however in March 2014 I discovered since Jan 2014 I have been charged 39.95 per month. I spoke with Megan a manager who stated I will be refunded in 5 -10 business days.  The first rep Tammy said she will cancel and send gift voucher, but company could not refund.  So we will see if I get my money back.

My brother received 2 charges from UBS8773926630 for $39.95 each in the month of November!!  He passed away this morning and I noticed it on his account.  He is on disability and was obviously taken advantage of---I am irate about this.  Please let's help shut this awful company down.

I recieved the call while i was at work, the woman on the line told me that i had won a subscription to one of there magazines for $4.95, and with the option of recieving three other magazines, she transfered me to a man who said i had the choice of accepting the subscriptions or declining them, i would recieve a letter within 14 days, 3 days later they charged my account $68.28, i called the number associated with the charge to cancel, was told they could'nt stop the charges. The next day i get charged $29.99 from some company called UBS, i called the bank to dispute the charge i never made and to cancel my card number. Do not follow for this scam, if you recieve a call like this just hang up.

I got a call from the magazine thing last year and I called them the day after the time they allowed to cancel (not knowing you had ten days or whatever to cancel) and the guy said he couldn't do anything. So I'm still being charged once a month (sometimes it skips a month) for 19.95 and 39.95. I'm not sure what to do, and I'm terrified to just get a new card, what happens if they try to charge the acct again and they see That number doesn't exist anymore? I'm also terrified to go to the bank to see what they can do....any suggestions? I'm just scared and don't know what to do....

Yes - your bank CAN do something!  Go to see them and tell them you are disputing the charges as fraudulent !

i got the same thing today. just got two package letters in the mail about this and im HIGHLY upset about this. THIS WILL be stopped mark my words!!

Go to your bank,  cancel your account and the debit cards, and open a new account at another bank or better yet, a credit union. Then don't write checks except for rent and untilities and don't give your debit card to anyone except a cashier and watch them closely so they don't copy your card, or bill it twice and having you sign only once, or say they made a mistake and had to rewrite the bill.  These are common tricks of fraudsters and they sell your account information over the internet. Hi! This has happened to me! I was charged $68.00 and got the account from the company cancelled! Waiting for it to go back in! Then today got hit with a $29.99 charge. What happened with your situation? I'm freaking out!!

Well I didnt even order anything from them. I check my my banking all the time and caught it before the transaction was even done processing and my bank couldnt seem to tell me anything about them and so I did some research on my own called and demanded they refund my money and they tried to tell me it was a non refundable subscribtion so i told them i am not accepting that as an answer. for one i never authorized any kind of subscription to their company so i asked tto speak to a manager and threatened to report them to the better buisiness beureau(sorry for spelling) and then all of a sudden "as a courtesy" they refunded me my money.

* when i asked them who they were they said that they get you deals on movies shopping eating out etc. maybe they sell them selves differently to different people to keep people off their butts about fraud....JUST AN OPINION THOUGH

I originally signed up for a few magazines for 29.95 a month
I checked my account a few days later and there were multiple charges for 299.50, maxed my card out.
I talked to my bank and got the charges removed. I then called the company and cancelled my subscription. two weeks later I got a charge for 29.95, I called them up and they said that the initial charge would need to remain since they already sent out the magazines (that I never actually got). I told them that was fine and that I didn't want anymore charges, they assured me that the account was cancelled and that I would no longer be charged. Now, a month later I have been billed by United Benefit Services for 39.95. I just called my bank to try and get the charge removed and have cancelled my card. THESE GUYS ARE FRAUDS!!!! GRRRRRR

I was scammed into signing up with this company to be eligible for a 20,000 dollar raffle if I paid 60 dollars for some magazine/s subscription. When I called back to cancel my account as I realized I might have been scammed, they outright REFUSED to cancel my account and I was told that I had no choice but to pay 60 dollars a month for the next three years so THEY could fulfill their contract with the magazine companies, which apparently they are only affiliated with.

This is absolutely absurd and is pretty much extortion. I am ordering a replacement debit card so as to stop their charges, and these bastards need to be reported and shut down as soon as humanly possible.

I just got back here from the Philippines late November of 2007,, so,, I got a phone for Christmas from my bro in law.. To my surprise,,, I got a call from an 800 number(forgot the #)around January of 2008 saying all these B.S. that I was eligible to win prize money and a car(boy,, they really got me dreaming there!!!),, I had to admit I was so naive about how FRAUD can just easily be done here in the U.S. and as stupid as I was, they were able to trap me with their scheme.  After calling CMI and had tried to cancel,, they just wouldn't let me unless I agreed to pay $289!!! For goodness sakes,, I couldn't even afford to buy a $20 blouse around that time,, and why would I agree to such absurd magazine payments?? I mean, my babysitter back home makes only $100/month back in the Philippines(I might as well give her the $60/month instead of paying for some magazines!!!) They took out more than they said they would off my bank account and that really ticked the hell out me!!!  SO I CALLED MY BANK AND PUT A STOP PAYMENT!!! I got proof!! I have been billed $39.95 and I have no idea how they even got my info.  Is there anything can be done?

i got a call from them like 2 weeks ago..but i never answered the phone..but they wouldnt stop calling me so finally i answered..they told me that i was gonna get all kinds of free stuff..plus the magazine for so 3 something a wek or they would breake it up to 15 payments of 69 something i told them that i was only 17 and that i didnt want what they had to offer..so i hung up and the other day i went to the bank to put money in and i am not a lot of money short..i have talked to my bank about it and they gave me the number of the company that was charging me..i called this number and they told me that i had agreed to this which i didnt..and told me that there was nothing that they could do untill i cancelled it..which i never agreed to anything so i shouldnt have to cancel anything...but they are still takin money from me as soon as i deposit money..

They called me today as well to charge me $60.38 for 16 payments a year i told them i wasnt interested and they said they would onliy take 3 dollars so i tried to hang up and they kept reassuring me so i agree and checked my online account moments later and they took 40 dollars out!!!!!! they are Fruads !!!! do not trust them!!!!

I got a call from them on my WORK cell phone! They somehow got my bank info and a charge for $29.99 and one for $68.00 hit my account. My wife and I got the $68 one removed but the 29.99 is being fought still. These people are jerks!

I had the same problem they took 68 dollars out for magazines and 29.99 for UBC and when they called me it came up unavailable.

when they aren't there, some girl answers and doesn't say her name or the company name either. I will try again Monday. I found another website this number was on and people on there were saying they were a fraud also. Somehow they already have your credit card number before they call you and take the money out right away. At the end of your subscription the total cost for these 5 magazines that they say you will supposidly get, will be $1,037.40. I just got a letter in the mail today. Someone on the other website said they contacted the Better Business B. and they couldn't find them. Hopefully someone does soon.

These people have charged us over $300 for magazines and some benefits stuff.  I have disputed with my bank but I want them to be charged with fraud. They even have my husband on a recording (although broken up) agreeing to this stuff.  No way he would ever agree to 2 magazines for 64.00 a month.  How do we stop this from happening and where are they getting this information????

i received a call from that number and they some how got my number which i never give out and fed me a bunch of b.s. about them selling magazines and i would have to pay only 3 something a week for 60 months. then they said they were going to compile the payments into 30 months so i could pay it off sooner. i proceeded to go along with them for awhile. then i hung up. they called back 2 or three times and i ignored it. the next day they called again and another person talked to me to confirm a cancellation and then convinced me that i would only be paying 19.99 per month for 20 months and i could cancel at any time and gave me the 800 number. i have not yet had any money taken out of my account but i had just finalized the order today. i never caught the name of the company so i typed the cancellation number in on my computer and i was brought to this site. i called the credit card company and told them what had happened and from what i understood you can either let them  take the first payment out and then file a grievance and possibly get my money back or i can get a new card with a different number and they wont be able to take any money out!  best bet if you get the call don't answer. first thing i told them was i wasn't interested in anything and they pull you in. its a situation where things are too good to be true!

they called me like 2 months ago, and i called and cancled it, so they put the 40 back into my account,well the other thing that they put me down for took 25 out of my bank and i called and cancled that, but they didnt put the money back
