She needed to talk to me regarding an important matter, and it was imparitive that I call her back immediately. She wouldn't say what she was calling about, on a very important personal matter. When I got home I returned the call and it was a debt that had been discharged in my bankruptcy. I told them that it had been discharged and she tried to convince me that it had been left off of the paper work during the  process so I needed to come up with 3,000 to get to hat right away before further legat actions  were pu in to place . I received a call from Tanna at CRA in regards to a deceased family member of mine. I decided to call them back to find out what this could be about. A guy supposedly by the name of Daniel Wade picked up and when I asked what company is this and told him I received a call, he asked for the number i received the call at. When I refused to disclose that information, he rudely stated that I cant just call fishing for information about this company and that he was not going to help me. So shocked at his overly rude attitude and customer service, I googled the nuber which lead me here and then googled Consumer Recovery Associates and found this phone number 866 563-7805 in order to contact a Manager "If you?ve had a disappointing experience with one of our representatives" Called the number and its not even in service. Found a second number 2nd phone number on their site for Kalin Scott at (757) 214-9186 listed as a Manager point of contact. I called that number and a voicemail for what sounded like the same guy I had talked to AFTER Daniel Wade had hung up on me the first time and who only verified himself to me as the "Executive" of the company voicemail picked up.

These are simply rude collectors who have broken every single Fair Debt Collection Practice Act law in one call. Shame on this company!

I received a call to day in regards to a supposed "Cash Net" loan from July, 2006. They told me that I owed 1479.65 but would break it down to $621.88 if I paid within the next few days. They had plenty of information on me including addresses where I'd lived, e-mail address and SS#, but they refused to send me anything in writing in regards to this saying the attempt had already been made and they didn't have to make any more attempts. They threatened court. They also said I reported an income which is way above what my income is. My income is fixed, I'm disabled. The number they called me from is:1-877-394-0396. If anyone could give me feedback on this I would greatly appreciated it. I would think that a debt collector would at least be willing to show written proof.

I also got a call from 757-716-7196 today on my cell while I was at work.  When I got off work I checked my voice messages and had one from a woman named Ellie saying that she was sooooooooooo glad that she was finally able to get in touch with me.  Wanted me or my representative to call back the minute I got the message and gave me a different number to call than what was on my caller ID.  1-877-394-0392  Ellie didn't tell me what company she was from just referenced a 7 digit code.  She sounded unprofesional on the phone.  I called both numbers and was on hold for 10 minutes the first time just 5 minutes the second call.  Finally a recording came on and told me that CRS was closed and to call back during their business hours which was 8am - 7pm.  It wasn't even 4pm yet here on the west coast!  Glad I didn't get in touch with anyone.  Especially since I don't have debt associated with payday loans.  Don't think I'll be wasting my time or my minutes calling them again...

received a call from these people today. they left a msg. very rude and condescending sounding woman. obvious bill collector. seems like CRA buys very old debt for pennies on the dollar and tries to collect on it. don't answer.

These people called my friend a few months ago claiming they needed our work address because they were serving her with legal papers and wanted her to be aware that they were coming that day.
I told her nobody gets "notice" that they are being "served". She called the number and the very rude woman told her she needed to settle a very old debt right then.  She didn't of course and hasnt heard back from them.

I got the same kind of call this morning, Mike McCoy left three messages at my work and one on my cell, all stating he was serving me today at my work or home unless I called 877-394-1305, that they had several legal charges against me. They also called my Xhusband's house scaring his wife into thinking I was running from the law.  I will not be calling them now or ever.

My elderly mother received a call from "Pat" at CRA with a very important message for me.  That something very important was happening in my town and I need to be informed... Glad I looked it up before responding.  Caused my mother stress though... shame on this company for preying on the elderly!

Woman called. Got ugly with person who answered the phone when she realized he wasn't the person she was hunting. Claimed to be with CRA but wouldn't leave any messaged, just this number to call back.

I get calls about once daily from these jerks!!  I DO owe $$, but I keep telling whoever calls I am in a Debt Relief program, & will pay the $ when MY ATTORNEY tells me to, NOT before!!  Get calls from 864-502-1011, that leaves a msg to call the 877 #. But if I don't pick the phone up & it kicks to my V/M, I ain't gonna call back from my phone!!!  Just let them  keep on calling, until the day comes when my attorney hauls them to court for harassment!!!

I received a call this morning from "Adrianna". She left the same type of message others have received. I'm glad I saw all of these posts. I don't have time to play with these jokers so I just finished filing a complaint with the FTC.

Someone from 757-336-8065 calls a couple of times a day and says it is urgent.  When you call back they place you on hold.  Pat says that it is urgent but can't say what it is for.  Really an ugly collections company.

No message just hangup.

CRA is a collection agency that buys your OLD OLD OLD debt. Credit Recovery Associates.... If it's over 7 years, just don't talk to them and they can't make it come back to you as current debt.  If you talk to them about it, that can start the process all over again.  Deny it and ignore future calls.

They called and wanted to speak to my husband or his representative according to the voicemail.  Funny thing the number they called from was 864-569-0178 Bowling, D. The callback number was 877-394-0395 so I guess they think if it's not a toll number people would answer, but I don't answer for anyone I don't know....that's what voicemail is for.  It's probably a company that already received bailout money to pay whatever debt was owed them - but they are still collecting.

Got a call Tuesday, March 13th, 2011 from 864-569-0178, from a Carlie Lang looking for a woman about a specific account.  She needed her or her agent to contact them back at 877-394-0395 ASAP due to the urgency of the matter concerning the account.  Reportedly she was from CRA.  Wrong number I have had my number for over 10 years now.

Got a call fro CRA misidentifying me as Michael Arbuckle and that my account was in trouble left on my voicemail. When I returned the call from voicemail it said the number was "not in service". When I called back the number 877-394-0395 I was put on hold by the automated answering system.

Voicemail message to my cell number, which I've had for several years, to 'Barbara Elkin'.  'Adriana' of CRA says it's imperative that this Ms. Elkin or her representative contact them today.  Started to phone back, glad I checked here first.  Not going to waste my minutes on some random collection agent's cold call-

This person called me and left a message saying that they needed to talk to me or my respentative about an urgent matter. Her name was Mellissa C. I have no idea who this is an they need to stop calling.

Gosh darn it, me too! I keep getting these calls for a Jacob Akinson, but I've had this phone number for over 9 years and there's never ever been a Jacob Akinson here! So sick of people harrassing me for some dude I've never ever known!
