An ATT sales call trying to get me back as a customer - same as Pam's report above.

I switched from at&T to comcast 5 months ago. I had at&t for one and a half years @ this adress! Then for no reason at&t started hiking the bill up by more than double. The first month i got my bill i imediately called them. They said the problem was on their end and next month i will get by old bill rate minus the extra charges. The next month same high bill and i called them and they told me the same thing. AFTER FIVE MONTHES OF THIS THEY NEVER CHANGED MY BILL AND I WAS INFURIATED! I had to terminate service with them it's the only language they understand! But this is not the end this is only the begining because now they pester me five days a week asking me to return. I tell them no way each time and to put me on their do not  call list. But they do not stop. They need to be stopped. Maybe if they treated their customers better they would have loyal customers but instead they spend their money on advertisments and telemarketers to pester their old customers. LOL theres a ad for at&t above my post. :-(

After a long wait, they finally came on the line (they called me).  She said she was from ATT and asked if she was calling a person or business.  I asked "You don't know who you are calling?".  Long pause.... then nothing.

Same as Angela.  They call my work number and won't leave a message.  I don't even know how they have my work number as I don't list it anywhere. I have ATT for my cell phone and my landline so I don't know why they would be calling me (everyday for the past 4 days).

Received a call from this # at my WORK #. I picked up and nobody was there. I called back, and it said I'd reached an AT&T Service Center, and if I wanted to talk with someone, to press 1. So, I did. I inteded to tell them to add me to their Do Not Call list. But nobody ever picked up after I pressed the number for a * gasp * real live person. I hope they do not continue to call me at work. As a sidenote, I do have AT&T for my cell phone, but my payments are on time every month/paid in full every month. So, there should be no reason they'd be calling me. BAD ROBO CALLS.

At&T sales department. they where trying to sell me a service. they were  professional when i told them they are reached a business number. she said thank you and ended the call.

They keep  calling my directline at work, no messages left. This has been going on for over a month, its past ridiculous.  I'm not an ATT customer and don't care to be.

Based on other comments I believe this is AT&T. They have been calling my work phone# for months now but never leave a message. They also usually call after I've gone home for the day or on weekends. They must think this is my "alternate" number. If AT&T had an ounce of wit they would realize that I terminated my land line but that my cell phone service is still with AT&T but they are apparently in the dark about their own customer. Rather low tech for a "high tech" company wouldn't you think?

Just got a call from that number at my job.  As soon as I answered with "good afternoon, you've reached the Helpdesk," the guy who called said "I'm sorry, is this a business?"  I said "yes it is," to which he replied,  "I apologize.  We will remove you promptly from our calling list."  

I'm going to start answering my phone home the same way just to see what happens. :)

They called my direct line at work and I said hello hello and get silence. I jotted down the number and hung up. Never registered my work line on ANYTHING.

If you call them back, you get an automated message. It says to press 9 if you want to be placed on their Do Not Call list, then you have to leave your name and number on a voicemail message. I don't know why they need your name, but if it works I suppose it's worth a try. Another option is what is called TrapCall, you can block unwanted calls, etc. Call your phone company first to make sure it will work on your line, especially land line phones. There's something about "forwarding unanswered calls" that has to be in place for it to work. I'm with Comcast, and unfortunately they do not have that feature.

BTW, this number may not necessarily be AT&T. Notice when you look up the phone number online, it does not come up as AT&T? That might be a red flag. Could just be someone posing as that company to get anyone's personal info if they signed up. NOT WORTH THE RISK. If anyone does like AT&T and wants to sign up, call them directly or go to their website, just to be sure it's legit and you're safe from ID theft, etc.

Have been calling my work telephone number up until 8pm but never leave a message. If this is AT&T their records should show I canceled my landline but still have AT&T for my cell phone, which I would be happy to change if they keep up this incessant barrage ...

Switched to Sonic, yup.
Call the number, the option 9 lets you exclude your number from their calls. We'll see.

Caller id says:toll free call, they leave no message on answering machine. Today's call at 8:35pm

I started getting these calls after I switched my land line over to sonic.net.  The first time I answered I heard some woman talking in the background while I repeatedly said"Hello?  Hello?  Is anybody there?".  After a few seconds I heard an "oops, oh, ah, click!"  The next time I actually got a woman and she indicated it was AT&T.  I told her I was not interested and asked not to be called anymore.  I am still getting calls from them all the time.  Wow.  Every time they call my mobile now I blacklist the number.  Hopefully they will give up soon.  I am glad Sonic.net has infinitely better customer service.

Posed as AT&T and asked me a series of questions about my phone usage.

The calls have started up again...  On average about 3 times a day...  Never leaves message...

They call and I ask to be taken off the list and they say they can't hear me so they say the will call back everyday. Please get them to STOP calling!!

I have answered many of these calls.  Most never even answer when I respond!  Twice I have talked to 2 employees and asked to stop the calls.  Am considering getting rid of ATT service.

Got a call from AT&T, but it was in Spanish.  Basically, a woman said something in Spanish then said AT&T.

Told them I didn't speak Spanish nor wanted to retain AT&T's service anymore.

They called me and it was a group of people using foul language.  Unwanted calls.

They called my work number.  Seems like they don't even know who they're calling.  Just random number robo caller.

Don't talk to them. If you want AT&T call them. Tis seems to be a retention center for them.
