Calls daily; leaves no message.  I do not answer unknown numbers.  These, most likely telemarketers, are a BIG nusiance and I am on a "do not call list", but doesn't seem to bother them.  If there is a way to stop these unmentionables, please let me know, or if a way you can do it, HELP.

This number has called my number 14 times in 4 days.  I stopped answering the call since when I did they hung up.

I donated to MOD last year. ever since then I have been shelled by endless calls.

I wonder how much these charities understand how this nonsense is hurting them?  I am sure reluctant in donating to any charity if the result is a steady barrage of telemarketing calls.

Last year I donated to the March of Dimes and since then I get a call everyday.  Sometimes the caller ID just has MOD but today it came from this number.  I previously reported this to the Atn. General of Pa and was told charities are exempt from the "Do not call list."  I will never give a donation to any organization that is not based in my local area.

I get calls from this and many other 866 and 877 numbers all from the March of Dimes.  I never pick up, but I am sick of my phone ringing every day early in the morning and in the evening right after coming in from work. Today I called the number back and after pressing "1" I was given the option to have my number removed from their call list.  We'll see if it works.

Thanks for the input.  I was and am aware and agree that charities are exempt from the DNC.  Many of the calls that I get say they are Surveys, charities, etc. etc.  when in reality they are telemarketing or scams.  I did answer one of these MOD calls and explained that I was getting many of them from different numbers and asked to be removed from their lists.  I got an apology and was told I have been removed.  Will see what happens now.

I agree 100% that these so-called charity calls are a nuisance, but clearly you didn't read what the DNC list covers when you signed up.  Charities (even annoying ones) are exempt from the DNC list.  I make sure to never donate anything to any entity that cold calls me.

Get calls from these idiots (MOD) using many different phone numbers.  Never a message.  Got a call five minutes ago.  I am also DNC list.  I will never donate to them or anyone who calls me at home.  This type of behavior hurts charities in general.  I learned a long time ago that if you donate you are on their list forever and other lists when they sell or swap your number.   What an intrusion of my privacy.  I am now looking at possibly dropping the land line I have had for almost 15 years.  I am also an unlisted number.  I get lots of other BS calls as well.

I called that number and they have an answering machine for "Market Dime", I guess you will never get a real person answering that number, and they don't leave messages

Some of those charitable contributions are solicited by InfoCision Management Corp., an Ohio-based telemarketing company that, on its website, claims to raise more money for nonprofit organizations over the phone than any other company n the world.

InfoCision holds, or has held, contracts with some of the biggest American charities, including the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society and the March of Dimes Foundation, among many others ? including some public broadcasting stations.

But an investigative report in the October issue of Bloomberg Markets magazine found that, in many cases, most of the money raised by InfoCision never makes it to the nonprofits the company says it's supporting.

If this is a charity calling, I believe they are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.

You can ask them to remove your name and phone # but that's not a guarantee

Best way to avoid calls is to get a phone that has call block.  I have Panasonic for both home and business #s and block calls.  It will ring once  on my end and they will get a busy signal.  The only drawback is you can only block 30 #s .  I keep a log when the call came in so when I have to delete to add new #s, I'll delete those that haven't called in awhile.  Can be time consuming but better to have this than nothing.

Received a call this morning.  Caller ID showed "unavailable".  Did not answer and no msg left on the answering machine.

Thanks for posting this info.  I just dialed 877-401-5695, listened to their message, pressed 1, listened more, pressed 3 to be removed from these types of calls, entered my phone number, pressed 1 for yes, to confirm.  The message said it can take up to 30 days to remove my number from their list, but they'll try and do it within a couple of days.

I have no use for their service.  I do not donate to solicitors over the phone.  I only give to those causesI wish to donate

Keeping getting calls.  I have answered the last two calls and no one is there.  Tried calling back and also get that it is March of Dimes.  Really stupid move on their part.

I get calls from these morons at least 3 times a day. I did go to website as one person suggested and tried the opt out...hasn't worked yet.  Today,I picked up the phone and let my female cockatoo scream into the phone.. a favorite thing of hers to do----maybe they wont call back(?)... but hopefully someone is a bit harder of hearing now!

Sick and tired of them calling here . Have told them not to call  am on the do not call list and I don't have any money to donate BUT THE KEEP CALLING ANYWAY. This time I was not nice and will continue to get nastier with them.

Calls daily, no message or live person on other end. I'll block the number, they'll use another.

Just got another call from this number at 8:40AM. It rang about twice and then stopped. Totally outrageous behavior by the callers. Just yesterday I got a mailing from March of Dimes and simply threw it away. No amount of intimidation will ever convince me to donate to this rude organization again. BTW, I'm actually a mild mannered person so this type of response is unusual for me.

Got my first Caller-ID phone a month ago. Having fun seeing what numbers pop up. Got one from 877-401-5695 today. Called it back. It says "Thanks for calling March of Dimes. Sorry we missed you." I get one or two calls per day from numbers listed on this site as March of Dimes. How rude can people get? If big government wants to do one useful thing this year it ought to put MOD out of business. Alexander Graham Bell would be appalled at this misuse of his invention. Come to think of it there's got to be a harassment law these people could be prosecuted with. How about "disturbing the peace?" I need a restraining order put on these bozos.

After avoiding the calls for quite a while I finally picked up and was told they are from the March of Dimes, they are not permitted to leave messages and they needed to confirm my number.  I told them that they could continue to communicate with me via mail but if I got 1 more phone call from them I would cut off all financing to them.  The woman was adamant that she was trying to help me...how, I have no idea.

16:30 hrs on this Sunday afternoon...rings with no voice communication transmitted. Hate when this happens!
