I have started to receive what seem to be nuisance calls from this number. When I answer, there is only dead air. I would like to know how to stop this.

Received about 6 calls over the past week and a half from this number. I ignored it a couple times and picked up the rest of the times. Only once did someone actually respond when I said, "Hello?" and asked to speak with me. When I asked who was calling, they hung up. When I tried calling the number back one time, it didn't even ring. I just tried calling again from a landline and got the recording that all reps were busy and to hold for the next one; however, after a few seconds an actual person answered and asked how they could help me without identifying themself or the company. I asked what company it was and he said Cox Communications and gave me his name. I told him I had been receiving calls for the past week and a half and told him the nature of the calls. He asked if I was a customer of Cox, to which I replied I no longer was since canceling my service 2 1/2 weeks ago. He then said, "Oh okay, thanks for calling." I said, "Um, am I going to be receiving any more calls from this number?" and he said, "No I'll take care of that right now." So, we'll see if he actually "takes care of it" and if I receive any more phone calls. It was getting extremely annoying.

Received call from this number, answered, no one on the line...held on several seconds saying "Hello, hello", but no response...so I hung up.  I called the number back and got recording that all reps were busy and to hold for the next one...I hung up.  Annoying!!!

Kept getting calls this # 877-403-1738, I answered dont get responsed and I kept saying hello! hello! I silent in the moment then they hung up. then I dial the number back cant go through.

Cox Communications calling to upgrade service to include residential phone service

It's Cox, or that's what they told me, offering upgrades to the services I have with them.  But they did sounded VERY informal.  I told them I wasn't interested and that was it.

Keeps calling my cell. I'll answer and no one replies. Very annoying and about to block this #.

Kept getting calls from this number, answered one time and was told to hold for a representative, needless to say didn't stay on the phone...called a few more times, finally answered another one and got a sales rep from cox offering additional packages for more cable channels and internet

Called me today, asked for Mr or Mrs (my last name) and Im not married.

Identified themselves as so-and-so on behalf of Cox comms, but started laughing halfway through it and hung up. The guy didn't sound like a telephone rep either, more like a stoned teenager.

Didn't seem legit. I am with Cox for my internet, but I don't have a balance with them.

They called me and left no message. I called back and it said "thanks for calling, please wait, all representatives are busy"... And I stayed on a silent hold for a while then hung up. Nusance call, no one on the other end when I answer it either.

Just called back out of curiosity and it was Cox Communications. I just hung up, I know I don't have any owed bills so it must have been to ask me to upgrade.

Called for me by name and I hung up on them.  Zero debts or outstanding balances.

Just contracted for power and cable for a new home in Florida.  Maybe they are trying to sell upgrades before I even move in.
