I got a voicemail from this company within the past few days, not sure exactly when. The man did not tell me who he was, or who he represented. He did say that the message was intended for (my first name) and went on to say something about "if you know Tiffany's (either Wright, White something like that) whereabout," that I could call him at 1877047608. He went on to say that my name, SS# and what sounded like my tax info is attached to a file with a case number of ___.
I know no one by the name of Tiffany anything, let alone Tiffany Wright/White/whatever, so this was strange. His grammar was terrible, and he spoke much like someone trying to pull a scam would (in my eyes).
Needless to say, I did not return the call, nor will I.

I recieved a voice mail from this number stating that he would have a fraud warrant issued. First of all I work for an attorneys office and there is such charge. Second of all, I do not have any outstanding debts. My credit score is great! So I guess, good luck to the scammers that are trying to get money from innocest people! I understand that everyone needs financial help once in a while, but please stop calling me!

This is a debt collector. They called my brother-in-law about someone he barely knows and told them that it was urgent this person call them or they would "take other means." They don't care who they threaten or what the consequences are. My brother-in-law was greatly disturbed by this call even though he has no way of contacting the person they were call about.

This a debt collector. They called my brother-in-law looking for a vey distant acquaintance of his and said that if this person doesn't call them back they will "take other means." They also called this person's grandmother and threatened her. This guy's parents have never been called, so I'm guessing they prey on the elderly knowing they'll get a rise out of them.

Got a call from this number 877-404-7608. The rep spoke very quickly and said a bunch of legal terminology, stated I was a reference for a relative (he knew the relative's full name) and was calling regarding a forged check.
I asked him to slow down & speak more clearly.
He said his name was Chris Davis from the "Office of Sierra Monarch" and they were looking to get a hold of a relative (not me and he already had the relative's full name). He stated he was with the litigation department & this was related to a forged check.
I asked him why he was calling me and not this relative, and what he was wanting from me.
He stated he wanted to get a hold of him and was looking to do so through me. He gave me his name & contact # and asked me to have my relative call him back.
Chris Davis
Office of Sierra Monarch
877-404-7608 x1002
I called me relative and he said he's never heard of them and knows nothing of a forged check.

I too received a call from a Mr. Banks telling me a case number in Portage County Courts, that my SS is attached to a case there.
This is a scam. Do not engage, give any excuse, or reply. Just hang up and ignore.

Fact of the matter is that they are a total violation of the law. I have done my homework on them and they buy debt that have been already paid. If your debt is actually legit they tripple the amount owed. They threaten to take you to court, say that the sheriffs are coming to serve you with papers for court. All of this is a complete lie. The companies have been fined numerous times and currently have several complaints currently with the NY AG's office. A word of advise DON'T pay them. If your debt is actually legit pay the Original Creditor. If you give them your bank info they will run your information unauthorized.

Apparently THEIR employee who made this call, had his head up his own A$$!!!! Calling 80 year old people who had NOTHING to do with whoever owed them money, made threats, was as RUDE as he could be to these 80 year old people, not even having the full facts or the right people to get in contact with.....IDIOTS trying to collect money who haven't the SLIGHTEST idea of what they're doing.

Mr. Gallo is jimmy johnson who has coused many lawsuits for john yim over the years. These people are BILL COLLECTORS not Claims Processor or parralegals or atty's. They DO NOT sue !!!!!!!!!!
| Scammers they are!! 2011-06-16 05:13:17 Debt Collector |
They called me today asking for the whereabouts of my Stepfather who resides in CO when I live in MT. Mr. Gallo said he had my Stepfather's name, social security #, and court docket number, and that due to the laws, he could not give me details about the case. Mr. Gallo did say that my Stepfather has DEFRAUDED a business and that he, Mr. Gallo, was a private investigator mediating for the business that is going to sue my Stepfather. I asked him how he got my # and he said that it was HIS JOB TO TRACK DOWN family members. He continued to say that since CO is a 50/50 state that he will go after my MOTHER to pay back any sums that are not collected when sued. I told him that my Mother has had two strokes and a heart attack and that my Mother has nothing to do with my Stepfather's finances. Mr. Gallo then asked if I knew where my Stepfather worked and if I knew when he was home...I did not give him the information needless to say. Mr. Gallo then stated that he is a Claims Processor...well, what happened to PI????

A friend of mine that lives in another state called me last night telling me that someone from Monarch called her cell phone looking for me. I know that I have never given out her number to anyone so I was concerned. I called the number back and got a voice recording. After the message it tells me that the mail box is full. My friend told me that this woman said that if I didnt return her call within 24-48 hours she would have a warrant issued for my arrest. My husband looked up the name on the internet and saw all of these different forums saying what a scam it was. I have reported them to my state attorney generals office and have decided to not try and call them back. I also found out they are not licensed to collect in my state, and that its against the law for them to tell me they will have me arrested. Hopefully they are stopped very soon!!

Got a call from the same number. The voice came on the voicemail pretty stern and in a threatening tone and told about a civil matter with my name and ssn attached to it and for me or my attorney to get in contact with___from "Monarch Resolutions". Usually when a collection call comes on a voicemail it is more professional. This almost came across as loan sharking/shakedown. I had to come here and see if I was the only one so thanks for the info and the heads up on the laws concerning debt collection practices. Obviously they are not following them.

9.28.2010. Received the identical message to our vacation cabin, of all places. There is no such thing in the real legal world as an "affidavit of fraud." I suspect it is one of the upstate New York fraudulent "debt collectors" who random-dial the white pages and threaten non-existent pending "lawsuits", then browbeat you into paying them something to go away. Even if you don't owe any debt, they will not stop harrassing you. In fact they just amp up the threats, hoping you'll be intimidated. Don't give them ANY information. Record all conversations and demand they send you a verification of debt and all legal filings by US mail, which they are required by law to do. They will not give you a company name or street address. Tell them you are filing a complaint of fraudulent threat with your state attorney general, their attorney general, the FBI, the FTC, and their landline telephone carrier, whose terms of service they are violating by committing interstate fraud.
| Ondine 2011-06-06 21:04:22 Unknown |
I called them back several times and got several different people, all of whom said something quick and unintelligible when they answered, trying to sound like a company. But one woman gave it away by answering "Monarch Resolutions." Our old friends from Tonawanda have relocated down the lake a bit to Derby, NY, and are still up to their old tricks.
This "firm" has been known as Tri-Financial, Prism, Vision, and my personal favorite, "Brewer, Michaels, and Kane, LLC", a "law office" that has no lawyers registered with the New York Bar. They are well-known to Andrew Cuomo and Bud Hibbs. Ask Monarch for their NY State Debt Collector business license number, which they are required to have to collect debt, and watch the sparks fly! Why should they have all the fun? Keep a tape of all messages that threaten "a lawsuit in your jurisdiction"...they can't even tell you where that is!...That fraudulent threat alone is enough evidence to
charge them with a felony.

I just received a phone call from these people today and the message that was left with a friend (somehow they had my friends #) of mine to return the call. I called back, blocking my number out and I had the same problem where they spoke very fast answering and when I asked if they were a debt collector, they told me "No". That they are a 3rd party company who assists lawyers for people who have settlements coming their way. They then proceeded to read me my SS# and explaining a bill that I owe money from years ago. I immediately requested to send me information in the mail and I hung up. They then called me back from this numer: 877-341-7412 It was then a male on the phone whom did not provide me with his name, informed me that he just heard my conversation. He said he was from New York and that he was a paralegal and that they did not need to infrom me that the call had been recorded. I asked how he had gotten my phone number, considering I blocked it out and he told me he received my information from a retired sheriff that works there....which if that is true, it sounds illegal to me. He also told me that he has a brother who is a police officer in the state that I live in and that he would have his brother come and serve me. He was reading me information of debts in my name that I do not recall. I told him to send me any info. in the mail, but then he asked me for an address, I said, "have your retired sheriff look it up." He then called me scum and said I sound like the type of person who would live in a small, rundown place.
