Got a voicemail message from Michael NK, 877-406-4895, asking if this Joanne Martin; if so, call them regarding control #66134697.  I have no idea who this is.  My email address is joanna.martin@lycos.com

These people keep on calling us about some stupid outstanding debts.  It is very frustrating.

a few months ago i received a phone call from mitchell n k law firm at 866-837-4873 about a debt i supposedly owed. i figured it was a debt i may have forgotten about. now i was very naive about this at the time, so i payed them WITH MONEY ORDER and figured it was over and done with.

i got another call from them within the last few days and they were calling about a different debt i owed from a new number 305-600-0215. i don't owe this debt, i double checked and found my old account and it is still payed off. they told me i had to pay this debt that day or else. and i should get a very good attorney unless i wanted to "be put behind bars" "by tomorrow."

a day later i received ANOTHER phone call from the same people at a different number, 850-810-6603. now they were claiming to be part of the department of affidavit electronics division. SAME PEOPLE, NEW COMPANY NAME AND DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER.

they called my work, numerous family members and friends trying to get a hold of me. they were all named "mark" and had indian accents and were very unprofessional with they way they spoke to all of us. the call center was loud, they avoided questions about who they were and were extremely rude.
they even gave out personal information to all these other people they called trying to get a hold of me like date of birth, social security number, addresses, phone numbers, and the reason why they were looking for me. too much information to give to people who don't know the situation.

i remembered the first call i got and realized i did pay it already. i checked my bank statement and found out it was to mitchell n k law firm. i called their number at 877-406-4895, AGAIN, SAME PEOPLE I'VE BEEN TALKING TO. i tried to called inquiring about a debt i had payed them, they wouldn't give me any information unless i gave them my social security number. from now on they can kiss my a**. they aren't getting a penny out of me again. this has to be a scam. or they're buying very old debts that have been paid off and are trying to squeeze money out of people using scare tactics.

recieved a phone call at 10;03 from new york Mitchell KAY attourneys at law they asked  me if hose garcia
was there i sais no i'm am ...................... then i called back and asked where are you located the man replied  New york then he asked me what is your phone # i did not tell him he asked me what i wanted i told him nothing he said why did you call   ha why did he call me and ask for hose garcia  i/m italian not spanish.

 it just keeps me woundering why so many people got this phone call 1866-837-4873

We get calls for someone else from these lower then whale s**t lawyers called Mitchell N K from 866 444 7830 or 877 406 4895.
This Atty that can not get legal work has to stoop to being lower then pond scum and chasing people that have no money to pay their bills. They call all numbers asscociated with the name of who they are chasing because they have no idea how to make an honest living..

I got a missed call on 4/23 with a caller id "Mitchell NK Law" phone 888-647-5699.

I answered a call today from an "unknown" number (which I rarely do) asking for my Ex-Husband. Was the same voice as a call I received in the past from someone claiming to be calling from American Express. When  I asked if this was AmEx, she said no, "Mitchell & Kay Law Office" (or that's what it sounded like to me), I told her that Kyle was my ex and she said she'd take me off the "list".

Ok they've changed the number again!! Probably trying to outrun the do-not-call list.

Just got a call form that very number today, Saturday April 4th at 8:15am!

As soon as I said "hello" a very ignorant and rude Indian (accented) male demanded to know where someone was.
Before advising this stranger that no such person lived here, I asked who HE was. He kept ignoring the question as he started to question me!
A battle he could never win.

I asked him over and over again to properly identify himself and finally he gave in.
However it was easy to see how he suddenly altered his voice a bit and muttered something that was OBVIOUSLY designed to prevent me from understanding him.  

No being fooled, I told him that he needed to speak clearly and try again.
Then he said "Mitchell AND Kay, attorneys in Manhattan, NY."

However and after being asked many times, he still refused to give his own first name. Not very professional.

At this time, I knew that he was up to something and I wasn't going to play with him.

I told him that the person he was supposedly looking for was NOT here and to delete my phone number from his call list IMMEDIATELY.

That's when he got really argumentative and demanded to know why I had to know who HE was if there was no such person here!
My last comment to him was..
"Since YOU chose to interrupt my privacy by calling MY home, YOU have to properly identify yourself!"

Then I hung up.

Is this company running a scam or what?

They called from 866-655-5826....it was a loud call center with man with an Indian accent.  He said he was representing a debt from Zales Jewlers AKA city commerce solution.  He said that if I did not owe this, to send a dispute letter to:

This account was paid off and closed back in 2003...this has to be fraud.

they called me and said I owed a credit card company some money.  I think they were trying to get personal info out of me.  I think they were up to no good.  I didnt even know what they were talking about.

keep calling my daughter and trying toget personal info out of her about me when i finally called and reemed a lady named nupur i guess thats how you spell the name I threatened with a law suit which I found out I can and am at this time persuing. they are trying to say it was a mistake and my debt is cleared but know that i've read all these notes about them I will pursu the suit

When these people call and you know it's not you're they're looking for...I do what my mom does.  She said "hello...hello, I can't hear you".  They start talking, then she continues to say "hello, I can't hear you well, can you talk louder".  They start to scream "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW" over and over.  She then says "well, I guess nobody's there...they'll call back if it's important".  It's very comical and the calls stop.

I got a message from this number- same deal with debt owed - I was confused but called b/c they had my name - they wanted my ss # (last 4 digits_ I declined to give this information). She tried to persuade me otherwise and then finally told me the last 4 digits she had - which wasn't me - so wrong person. Seemed fishy.

I got a voicemail message from the law office of mitchell mk asking if I was debra jones and if so to call this number 877-406-4895. I have no idea who this is and why they are calling me asking me to call them with a control number.

Think this is a scam, told me that someone with my name owed money to this Michael K and when I questioned her, she did not have the right answers.  Then asked if my last 4 numbers of my SS was so and so which it was not.  So I pressured her into telling me what the address and I researched it and the person is my same "first" name but totally wrong last name.  Get these guys,

Automated call -- no identification of who was calling.

Just got a call from this nuber tried to call it back and guess what my call can not be completed as diled .. what is all of this anyway!!

Law Offices of Mitchell N Kay -- they are a bill collector for FingerHut.  They are the biggest pains in the rear.  I've threatened them to a lawsuit for harrassment....doesn't seem to phase them.  

They call and say that I "must call them back."  I don't.  I'm not wasting money on a long distance phone call.

We purchased a repossed home in 2005 that belonged to a Rena Burton, who has not lived here since 2004. The only way they could have gotten my number is to have used a county directory which should be illegal. Then they say they are in New York city which they are not. They sound Indian. I am tired of getting these calls.

I received the same call as noted above, however my SSN didn't match what they had on file.

(800) 714-9491 / 8007149491, this is the real number. They use a fraud number that you can't call back.Call them back and tell them they have the wrong number, and remove your number from the calling list. I had to do that, they called for one of my relatives, she does live here, but I wouln't allow them to keep harassing her. And I do know for a fact that she owe's no one.

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE ENTERTAIN THESE SCUMBAGS-WHEN EVER THEY CALL ME-I TELL THEM TO F*** OFF AND DIE AND HANG UP.  IT GIVES ME PLEASURE.  IT'S KIND OF FUN.
COLLECTION AGENCIES ARE A JOKE--THEY'LL GET TIRED OF CALLING AND I'LL NEVER PAY THEM--I WIN!!!

For the last time!  These firm is unreal, messages and calls for some Gaylon Brown reference #72522465 on a debit?  Told them "I don't know this person, they are not associated with my phone number, STOP CALLING ME!"  Of course they would not disclose how my number was used by them in an attempt to locate this person because I am not Gaylon. Really, so why do they keep calling me?  Today I called back the number left by an automated message, spoke to Greg, he hung up on me.  Persistence got me to Karine(sp?).  She says she will properly list my number on their "do not call list."  Hum, I'm already on a "Do Not Call List."  LET ME SLEEP, I WORK NIGHTS!!!  AGAIN PEOPLE, The person to whom you wish to speak to is not associated with my phone number.  Hope you STOP THE CALLS TO MY NUMBER!  Mitchel & KAY's number is toll free, seems they will call anyone, thanks Gaylon.  I live by the principal rules of Mark Levin.  I owe no one and feel good about it.  So there! now l feel a little better until the next call.

This number called on Sept. 11, 2010 at 10:15am and left no message.

There are two entities that you are talking about. One is the actual law firm in New York that has such a bad reputation that the phoney company which is run by scammers uses them to create subterfuge. The address the scammer uses is P.O. Box 9006, Smithtown, N.Y. 11787-9006 with a phone number of 1-888-647-0633 and this is going to take you to someone in India talking on a cell phone or a headset that will ask for your information. Ask them to verify your SSN and when they can't, they will tell you that it must be case of information theft  and you can tell him, "Yes, and you are the person who stole my information." They will hang up immediately and you will still get more letters and phone calls. Call the police and the Federal Trade Commission and notify the better business office for the state of New York, When I did that they told me there WAS NO ONE ON THEIR RECORDS for that address and name.

I got a call on my answering machine from this office mitchell N K for the first time my name was wrong the name they used was my middle name and i never use my middle name in any of my business and i don't owe any debts

Automated message telling me to hang up if my name isn't my name, then saying if I continue to listen to the message that I am my name.  Said they were the Mitchell NK law office and that I had an outstanding debt.  They left a control number and the phone number 866-357-2332 to call.  I called back and they asked for my social security number.  When I refused to give it out, they asked me to verify that a certain number wasn't mine.  They asked me to verify my name and phone number to take it out of their system, which i told them.  So annoying.  I have no debt, never have had debt.

Same problem as others...
