I have received a call from this number once a day for the last couple days.  The voice says that a complaint has been filed against me.  Is everyone sure this is a collections agency and not law enforcement?  I have no idea why they would be calling me.

I just receved the message on my voice mail at 4:23pm 11/28.

This message is for Karissa xxxxx. My name is Felica. It is extremely important that I get a return call at 877-407-4764 ext. 4280. I need for you to refer back to complaint #xxxxxxx no later then 8pm central standard time. This message has been left in accordence to all federal & state laws.

At first it sounded like she was eating something then that she was reading from a script because of the pauses.

I've gotten a phone call a day from this company for over a week now, not only on my cell phone, but also at my place of work.

This agency is handling my terminated cell phone service with AT&T.  The account was forwarded over to them 30 days after deactivation.  The multiple times that I have attempted to set up a payment arrangement with this company, I have been verbally abused and hung up on.  I informed them that I would be more than happy to pay beginning in 2008 (due to the Christmas Season), but "It wasnt a good enough excuse" and that I'm "immature and need to grow up and pay my damn bills".  The were completly unwilling to work with me.  Also, to top it off, they are charging me an additional $90.00 for using their collection services.

They are legitimate, but more than likely trained to be as abusive as possible to bully people into paying their bills.

The primary agent I spoke to was Stephanie.  She was pretty new, only abusive to my wife.  Her direct supervisor is Alexa and she is the biggest piece of work I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to.

I understand that paying is important, but I just stopped answering because they are very literally reading from a script. The person "handling my account" is Thomas. When I tried to set up a payment plan, he said that there were only 2 options. Option 1)Pay in full immediately, including the additional $400.00 of their fees, or Option 2) make 2 payments of 700-some dollars for the same amount. Each call was the same, I understand that it is his job, but, my hours were cut and it was IMPOSSIBLE to solve this his way. The whole situation is very frustrating.

If EVERYBODY called these types of numbers (and had their friends do so) every time you pass a pay-phone, what would happen?
They ask for "payment", so say "yes" but only by mail.  Drop into the mailbox an evelope addressed to them WITH THIER address also the return address, BUT WITHOUT POSTAGE.  The envelope must NOT contain anything illegal, so I suggest neatly trimmed-to-fit junkmail pieces (but WITHOUT your address).
OKAY, I know its not anytime near April First, and this is a "childish" practical joke.  So, I am easily bored!  Entertainment is where/when-ever you make it!  By the Way, I have received MANY of this sort of call (and e-mail) and in every case, I was NOT the correct intended recipient.
A parting word (OK, several - perhaps the only sensible things I have said here)...........
Make them mail to you. If you are to be victimized (or harassed) be a documented victim!  These sort of low-life, opportunitic vermin will soon "cross the line", commit an illegality, and be in a position where YOU may have some recourse!
-->Be not a potential victim, "keep a clean house" so to speak. (advice I myself have finally learned to live) Good Luck.

This is the 3rd call this week that traces back to First Revenue (they've used 3 different phone #s). Each time they call - I answer and there is silence.
I say hello several times - nothing.  I hang up.

I then called the # back and got voicemail for First Assurance.

Looking up all the people they've been calling & harrassing from this number it appears they're a debt agency.

I owe no one money so they should not be calling my cell.
So as usual I filed a DONOTCALL complaint.

I have also dealt with this company.  When I asked who they were and what they were calling about she just repeated her name and wanted me to verify my SSN with her.  I told her that I do not know who she is and or what she is calling about because I do not have business relations with a company called First Assurance.  She refused to tell me any other name other than her name and continued to mention a file # and I told her I do not verify information and or provide information by phone so I hung up.

This is what you need to do by law these individuals have to provide certain information; if they do not and or are harassing you then you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  Also if you would like for them to stop calling you have the right to send a cease and desist letter (I would recommend it being sent certified mail so you know they got it! Then, if they continue to call after you know they are in receipt of this letter they broke the law and charges can be brought up on them).  On the cease and desist you want to ensure you have the so called file #, their name, name of agents and that you would like to stop all further contact with you both by mail and or phone and if they continue to contact you then they are in direct violation of the FTC fair lending act/practices.

I would also recommend any and all individuals who have been bothered/harassed/spoken to rudely/ etc to go to the Federal Trade Commission's website to file a complaint because the more people who file a complaint with the same issues raises concerns and the FTC will investigate.

I hope this helps!!

Rudest man, blocked the number and would not tell me who they were or why they wanted my daughter's phone number.  Arrogance does not pay with me.  I don't owe anything, and neither does my daughter.  Her fiancee paid this bill and took over the account.  She has called them with the confirmation number that this account is current.  They have told her everything is ok.  Well, they should never have called me.  I am now after these people.  I will contact an attorney.

They keep calling and this is a work phone.  She said her name was Shirley from First Revenue calling. Isn't it illegal for them to call and harrass on a phone used for work when you've told them you don't know who they're asking for? How is that going to collect their money?  I don't see how it will.

this is not Law Enforcement.  these guys are what you call bottom feeder's that pose as debt a collection agency or even a law firm of which they are neither.(people who buy discharged debt from banks etc.. pennies on the dollar and then turn around and try to obtain the money from the debtor).  DO NOT PAY THEM. if you are going to pay the debt, pay the company directly, most likely if its been charged off you won't be able to anymore, but do not pay these guys, they are  scum bags that will just keep the money you pay them as profit.  Furthermore, know your rights.  Record the calls, document the calls, request proof of the debt from them in writing, contact your local Attorney Generals office, file a complaint.  Do not allow them to scare you.  tell them to cease and desist from calling you, your family etc...file a police report if you have to for harrasment.  document everything.

This number is linked to IC LLC (832 366 1100). First got a weird message from IC LLC (per caller ID) to call 877 407 4764.  IC LLC has been calling repeatedly for a person who doesn't live at my residence.

Called the 2nd number and only got an answering machine but the greeting indicated they were a company in Texas. I left a msg that I plan to report them to the Federal Trade Commission and that my number should be removed. However, I doubt they will actually do that.

Oh my goodness.  I called 877 407 4764 and got the rudest person on the other line. He obviously was able to see my home phone on caller ID because he asked is this... (   ).  I explained I have the same last name however no that person you're looking for is not here. You have the wrong number. He said, with a strong southern accent, "Okay I guess I can remove your number from our call list. Not sure what else I can do here."  (very unprofessional but not too rude yet) So I politely and calmly said, "Thank you. I also want you to know that I am documenting the frequency of the calls I receive including dates, times, and numbers of times I have asked to not be called." Before I even got to finish he rudely interrupted and in a tauting way said, "Oh, so now what are ya planning to do, huh? Threaten us?" I responded with, "I am not threatening you however I am documenting and do plan to report you to the" (was starting to say Federal Trade Commission) but he again interrupted this time in a yelling voice. He said, "I TOLD YOU I WOULD REMOVE YOUR NUMBER. SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW? CALLING ME A LIAR? IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE DOING?" Honestly, this guy was so unprofessional. I told him that he may not be a liar but one thing is for sure, his customer service skills are sorely lacking." He started yelling again about how he's not a liar. (By the way I never called him a liar.) I said a bad word (my bad) and hung up on him.

I think these numbers may be related as I've had hang up's and if you are so and so please call XXXXXX. I am not returning the calls because I am not "so and so" and I'm tired of telling these fools they have the incorrect phone number.

My strategy? Power to 'em. They can call over and over and over and over. I have caller ID so if I don't recognize their number I simply won't answer. No skin off my nose!

FIRST REVENUE MAY BE A BUSINESS, BUT THEY REALLY GIVE PEOPLE THE BUSINESS ON THE PHONE. RUDE DISRESPECTFULL. VERY VERY RUDE. THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THESE CALLS MUST BE THE LOWEST. THEY ARE PEOPLE WHO NEED TO PUT SOMEONE DOWN SO THEY CAN FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES.THEY GET TO WORK EARLY BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY PLACE THEY FEEL GOOD AT.

They have called me 4-5 times a day for the past 3 dyas. This morning I asked them to validate the debt (which is my right under federal law) and he refused to do so. I have never received any mailed notification and so cannot request in writing the validation. When i requested their mailing address, again he refused to give this information to me. When I asked him to stop calling me (again, my right under federal law) he stated he will be calling again. These guys are breaking the laws here, people and for that reason, if I can get these calls recorded, a law suit can take place and they will owe me $1000 plus damages, again, under federal law!

I called this number back after 3 months of them calling and not leaving a message. The girl on the phone said "it was against the law for them to leave a message" I asked "what law is that!" she put me on hold and another person assisted me. They claimed I owed $206 to AT&T. I cancelled my service with them for lack of towers and service in my area. AT&T claimed they would not charge me for early termination due to service in my area.....they assured me of it!.........well...it went to collections. I called ATT and they straightened it out....however my credit score dropped 110 points from this. Had they left me a message or sent something in the mail....my credit score would still be in the 600's

I receive calls from this number since yesterday asking me to pay for something which I don't know. Since then I didn't bother to answer them. Though they keep on leaving a message to my voicemail! From the previous testimonies here I definitely know now that these guys are just making money out of these calls they're having!

I would like to know why when you tell this company that you don't owe nothing, and that you're not going to pay when AT&T lied about services that I would receive and telling me I would only pay $145 a month for 4 phones, then after about 2 bills, the 3rd bill I receive was over $300 then $400 the next month, now this company is saying I owe over $1200.00....I have asked them several times to stop calling me that I have an attorney, that they are harrassing and badgering, and they say their not, and that they don't have to contact the attorney at all, that he has nothing to do with this.......They call 2-4 times a day and even on weekends....
I would then to stop.....What can I do to make that happen

I came home after a long day and listened to my messages...this not so lovely female left a nasty message saying she'd like to speak to me or my attorney regarding a legal matter...and that 'hanging up on her was stupid as I have enough problems' (my daughter had hung up on her earlier for being pushy and rude...I call her back and let her know I found her message inappropriate and I didn't appreciate her being rude to my daughter...she begins to YELL at me saying, 'how dare YOU call me and tell me what's inappropriate' As I chuckle, I informed her that she called MY home and had a nasty attitude...she yelled and then wanted to discuss my childs behavior. I told her I didn't care to get into it and to just tell me why she was calling.........she proceeds to speak over me and then I said, 'you're the one who wants something from me, I suggest you call me back when you have a better attitude' she then replied I owed money and wouldn't say what for and that she wouldn't speak to me, only my attorney...when I said I didn't have one she responded by saying, 'you have enough problems I suggest you get one' and hung up on me............

I received a voice mail from this number. It was a black female, couldnt make out her name, stating that it was urgent that I returned her phone call and left a phone number, extention, and some other type of number. She never stated who she was (company calling). After reading all of these posts I now see that its a scam! Thanks for the info and heads up everyone
