It's interesting. I'm reading these comments from others and am seeing advertising throughout the website, which looks like more scams. "timeshae Fraud" "contracts cancelled". I thought this website was helping people who feel like they've been scammed and those same people coule be scammed on your website!
ann 2011-09-21 00:06:07 Unknown
do you have any current info on them or the company

Don't do it!!! I have been scammed. My bad big time. If it sounds too good, it is, sad to say.
Karen 2011-03-29 17:09:30 Unknown
I was thinking that myself!
Karen 2011-03-29 17:01:28 Unknown
They are a scam, I was scammed out of $792.00 promising full refund if my eight weeks didn't rent. Of course, nothing. Now their number is busy and the customer service number now belongs to another woman who was kind enough to call me back after I left a message. She said she has gotten 70-80 calls of other people who had been scammed. They went under Resorts2Travel and now it is Resorts2Rent. They are full of it I hope they get their due!!
Star 2011-02-11 01:42:51 Unknown
I wonder if those previous posts are just more scam from the company...

I am so mad that I can't think. They keep calling and trying to sound legit. When you ask them who they are or what type of business they are they will not answer. They are incredibly rude! They finally told me they are "Total Card", but who knows if that is true or not. When they call the caller ID comes up as D. Wasmund.

Received a call from resorts2travel asking to sell time from my resort for an upfront fee. Caller was rude and impatient.

Curious Jennifer, who's your timeshare with. Several people on here on this website have done some homework. RCI doesn't condone this practice.

I signed with this company (Resorts2Rent) in late July and have gotten nothing! Every inquiry is met with reassurances and promises, but no $. After the 90 days came and went I asked about the 100% return of marketing fees and they said they automatically renew the contract 3 times if needed to get all weeks rented. I really want to believe it's not a scam, but it's not looking good. I turned it over to my credit card company as a dispute today :(

Get a phone that you can block any number you don't want.

Hi Jennifer,
I was surprised to see all the complaints about Resort2Travel. I also received a call from them, and unlike other telemarketing calls, I wasn't annoyed by this one due to their friendliness and their way of explaining the program without being pushy. I have been tempted to call them back and purchasing 6 of my weeks, so they can resell them, but I am also skeptical. It sounds like a great program. Have your friends decided on registering?

I got a call from Resorts2Travel. The gentleman also sounded really nice and he wasn't pushy. I actually told him he got me at a bad time, so he gave me his number and direct extension so that I can call him whenever I decided to register and sell my weeks through them. I haven't had a call since then, and I have been wanting to call back to give the program a try. I've seen many comments on this page and most of them seem negative, but none of them actually say that they have been scammed by this company. I haven't seen a review that states that they gave their info, were charged on their card, and didn't receive anything back... I did find one review that actually says the opposite. It's the only review that states that they registered with Resorts2Travel and have already received money back from them. I'm tempted to do the same.. Is there anyone who has actually been scammed by this company?
Jennifer Haines 2010-11-18 21:12:47 Telemarketer
I am actually registered with Resorts2Travel. I have been since September 10th, 2010. I have already recieved 3 checks from this company. 3 checks!! The first one came 2 weeks after we registered. My husband and I referred our friends to the program and they were skeptical so we looked up information and were surprised to see so many complaints. So far we have recieved $3,697.00 in 2 months! Our original investment was $1188.00 which we went out on the limb for but the contract we recieved explained to us our money back garuantee so we decided to give the company a try and we are so glad we did!! I would recomend this program to others so next time you get that phone call, consider our testimony.

Hi Cheri
I do agree with you about RCI, but am curious. Did you actually do business with Resort2Travel??
I am looking for someone--anyone--who actually put up the $594 bucks and actually got a big return on their dollar as promised.
If you did, congrats!

Wow, so glad I found this website!
I received a call from a guy today (11/17/10 around 10am MST ) who identified himself as Jeff Hall with an outfit called resorts2travel. (69 E. Pine St. Orlando, FL 32801)
He seemed very nice; not pushy. I was about ready to hang up (as I do with any call regarding our timeshares). He proceeded to tell me the same thing as above: Do I use my unlimited "getaway vacations" that I have available through RCI? And would I like to put those to work for me? Then got the same story the other individuals did: I could authorized 6-12 getaway vacations (to the tune of $99 bucks each) and they would rent them to folks going to Orlando or Vegas for conventions or vacations. Those folks get "a good deal" but have to sit through a timeshare presentation (which is how resort2travel gets its revenue). Once my "getaway" weeks get rented, I get a check in the mail for a minimum of $899.00. for EACH "Getaway Week" (that I only shelled out 99 bucks for). Also: the price could be even higher.
Sure seemed to good to be true. I asked him how he got my number and he told me RCI gave out the info about its members (which sounded pretty sketchy). I did go to the website while I was on the phone to him and did give him my email. he promptly sent an email (marketing stuff) and a one page contract which did not look like what we had talked about. Fortunately, other than email, I gave him no other info.
glad I didn't!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Just received a call from Michael Manzet at Resorts2Travel.com. Money back guarantee to sell our unused weekly Getaways through RCI for hundreds of $ sounded too good to be true. I asked for more info about his business and was directed to RCI and the above website. Got his number and extension, 888-407-7747 ext. 109. After reading this and other related reviews I will forward this page to WorldMark, my vacation resort.

I have received daily calls from this number. I am on the DO NOT CALL list for ALL my phones but it seems to continue. Today's call was a bit different. When I answered the message stated "You are the only caller on this conference." As with others I get the exterminator company as well. So tired of this.

I get a call from this number weekly. WHAT CAN BE DONE. This is not RCI.

Received a call from resort2travel regarding the renting of our timeshare. Unfortunately my husband asked them to e-mail information. This "information" appeared in our inbox in a matter of minutes and is written as a welcome letter and implies they have been engaged to provide services. Attached to the e-mail is a "receipt" which is a pdf of a form to fill out (including personal and financial information) and fax to the company. When I tried to reply to the e-mail with a "no thanks" message, the message returned as undeliverable. When trying to return the call to 877-407-7747, Direct Exterminating voicemail answered but mailbox was too full to leave a message. I tried 888-407-7747, as was referenced in the letter, and could not get to a human but was prompted to leave a message. Our phone number is also on the DONOTCALL registry.

received a call this morning at 10:48 AM. There was a long pause before there was a ton of background noise and someone asked for my partners name. When I said they were out they hung up on me. I believe it is the resort2travel people because we do own a time share. I have reported them because I am on the no call list and have asked several of these companies before not to call.

Got the call today. Actually number was an 888 Did receive a follow up email with a copy of some kind of contract, but nothing that seemed related to 6-12 units at $99 each. I think he thought he need to send me SOMETHING seeing that I told him too call back in a couple days after I could review. Also asked the same question of why they needed my noney to sell these things? I get very nervous anytime I get phone calls from Florida with 'guarantees' and easy money regarding timeshares. This deal won't happen with me.
Jim 2010-10-26 18:06:22 Telemarketer
resorts2travel.com is a scam. I have received many calls from the 877number and hear silence for 10-15 seconds then an automated "goodbye".
finally a call came from a Joey Hamilton at resorts2travel.com, promising that if I paid $99 for wyndham get away weeks they would pay me $899. per week. The pitch was you have 12 weeks. If you are not going to use them sell to us for a profit. I called Wyndham Owner Relations and reported the fraud attempts.
Florida BBB search on resorts2travel takes you to the "mother company", "Resorts International & Travel, LLC, in Orlando. The company is not registered with the BBB. They have at least four addresses in Orlando and scam everyone they can.

Got another call from them today (oct 25th), I answered it. There was nothing, and then the call was disconnected. So I called them back and got a vm called 'Direct Exterminating', but the voicemail box is full.
Argh!
cp 2010-10-25 22:06:59 Unknown
Annie,
RCI will never call you asking if you want to rent, sell or anything else to do with your timeshare. I have had so many spam marketers calling regarding that with me and I report them both to my timeshare and RCI along with the Federal do not call list.
Be very causious and give no info at all if you own a timeshare. YOUR TIMESHARES DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OUT SO THESE JOKESTERS AND SCAMMERS CAN CALL YOU>
Annie 2010-10-22 18:56:26 Unknown
I also get calls from this number at least 4 to 6 times a week. When ever you try to call it back you get a message about a full VM inbox for the Exterminating company.
The Other day I managed to answer it and there was actually a person on the line stateing they were from RCI ( the timeshare place) and they were asking me if I owned a timeshare and would be interested in renting it out for cash if I did have one.
I played along for a minute as I am very cautious of phone scams, and said I did have one and asked what the bottom line was ... they wanted my credit card information so they could charge me $99 for this so called service and then I would start making money renting out my timeshare!!
Pretty sure its a scam!
