They are complete scumbags and Violate every Fair Debt Collections Practices Act law on the books. They use call spoofing tecnologies to use fake numbers on you caller ID that you can't even call back. They will try and use your families numbers on you caller ID to try and get you to answer there call. They won't give you any information, but will try and get information out of you.

These idiots are completly powerless to do anything that they say. They will lie, cheat and harrass you to try an make a profit. Don't give them any info. They can't send anyone to your house, they are complete B/S artists.

Bottom line, if the economy has you strugglin, don't let these idiots get you down. Worst thing that can happen, it the original creditor tries to take you to court for a judgment, which hardly ever happens. These clowns can't even do that, they can only LIE TO YOU AND HARRASS YOU AND TRY TO CHEAT YOU. That's all!!!!!!!

Advise to everyone!!!  Don't answer these calls. Tell your family and friends, don't answer these calls. These investigators are phishing. They don't have much information, but if you answer the phone, they will bully it out of you. And they can be very good at it. They will get you to believe you owe your dead great great grandmother. But only if you answer the phone. If they call and no one answers, then there is no conversation. Let them leave all the messages they want to. They have no power over you unless you give it to them. If you do owe on a car, house, or whatever then please talk to your lending institute or bank and work with them directly. Please believe me when I say the bank would rather have your money than your used car. I live in Alaska. I get calls every month. My credit is very good and I know I don't owe anyone anything. But still, they call. I never call back to tell them they have the wrong person, or number. I never answer "incomplete" or "private number" calls and you shouldn't either. Just by you answering the phone you've given them the first bite. If you have been talking to them, you should stop.  What ever threats are made is because you answered the phone and are listening to them. They will affect you only if you let them.  Remember, they have no power over you or anyone else unless you answer that call!

The number 1-877-410-4517 ext 217 call and left a message on my phone telling me to please give them a call back that is was a suite and it was not filed on me so don't be worried.. but then I got to thinking if it was a law matter why would they call me from a 877 number and not from a number where I live.. The following message was left on our company voice mail: Investigator Logan looking for firstname lastname, please call 877-410-4517 ext 227 refer to case number xxxxxx (personal info changed to protect privacy.) When I heard it thought it was a criminal investigation until I found out that my company financed a used car in 2008. The amount financed has already been paid in full months ago but the interest was excessive so there was still a remaining balance. The person they're calling for was a former employee who'd cosigned the loan. With the downturn in the economy the company had to let people go then the owner had major medical problems and wasn't able to pay the last few car payments and had to file chapter 7 bankruptcy. The owner already paid a considerable amount in interest to Chase so the remaining debt will likely be discharged. They can't legally go after the owner so it looks like they are trying to locate the former employee who cosigned. We're investigating whether they can legally do this. Is there no end to Wall Street greed?  The caller ID was 469-555-4806.

I rec'd a message from a woman named invest. bryan.  i called back because i wanted to ask them to please remove me from their calling list and a woman answered the phone "hello", as if i called someone's residence. I have never called any type of (legitimate) business where they didn't answer and immediately identify the their name and the name of the company/organization.  Not to mention, they called a prepaid cell phone that has only been activated for the past 3 months, and before that the owner had a different number. Sounds weird, but what i know is, if it's as serious as she claims it is, they will come and get me!!

I received a call on my office line saying that an ongoing investigation is occurring regarding one of my employees....   Oh well.....    Talk to 'them'!!!    (If they want a call back, they need to leave the person's name whom they are trying to get hold of, as well as their (the investigator's) company's website--otherwise, how can we take them seriously?   ...

I got the same message today from a ho bag named Investigator Melissa McFall. Number: 8774103866. Actually, they called my mom's house wanting to talk w/ my sister about me. They are investigating a case against me. Provided the case number for reference and requested for a call back. This sounds very fishy to me. From all the research I found it's a scam. Those who receive a call from this number be aware and don't waste your time. If it's legit, they would know how to contact me...or for this matter contact my sister directly instead of calling my mom's house????? Neither of us even live there!

Total Scam... Call them back and tell them about your day. Try to make it 10 min or longer. I once asked them if they could come to my house and scratch my a** for me.

I have worked for repo co. they are NOT investigators nor pi , their tactic is to annoy you so you give up vehicle. They get payed by lender per each vehicle. Longer it takes to pick up a car more resources it eats. With out pick up they will not make money and get discoraged and stop until another company will start. Your info is on data base that all repo companies have access to.
Couple of tips, if you leave gate open they will enter property is gate is closed they can not open them selves. They will get rude and scream and intimidate you. This breach of piece and is illegal.

They call your friends, family, landords and tell them they are detectives investigating an auto theft case" they will say what ever it takes to find you. This place is hired by your creditor to find you! They will even tell them they have a case number and in reality it is only their phone extention number!!.. Actually, Global Investigative Services does pre-employment screening and background checks.  They are not skip tracers or collections agents, they are just hired by potential employers or Government offices to confirm that information you had provided it legitimate.  Chances are someone provided your information as an employment reference.
I would answer but other then my name, I wouldn't give them any further information.

Then why don't they just tell you that when then call.....the call seems suspicous to me.

Yes , they are a Skip Tracing Agency for repo comapnies. Specifically working for Chase Auto Finance in regards to me. I got a call from investigator "Willibie". A black lady with a smoker's voice. There is no such thing as a law enforcement agency that gives out toll free numbers with an extension. They do that to scare you. The case number they give you is simply their way of looking up your account to further threaten you with bu***hit legal action. They can't do anything. Chase Auto Finance charged my debt off months ago and still I drive my car everywhere. No utilities are in my name. No employment data has been updated on my credit file. DMV address not updated. No forwarding mail address. Real simple. If they can find the car they can take it. If they want criminal charges (which due to bad public perception they wont) they need to serve you a summons and schedule a hearing to get a court order called a writ of replevin. You must be notified of this legal action by certified mail or sherriff's service. If  a writ of replevin is issued then you have to give the vehicle back or be held in contempt of court, MAYBE. Not a lot of Judges sympathetic to the creditors. 99% percent of creditors just take the charge off and shop your account from "investigator" (skip tracer) to "investigator".Most people will eventually get a phone or electric bill in their name down the road and whamo-the car will be repoed. They can't do s**t. I tease them relentlessly. When you tell them "go ahead and sue me, I want my day in court, run those legal bills up" they panic. They are used to scaring people into thinking that a chargeable offense has taken place. The bottom line is they will never give up the hunt. If you schedule court for any matter with your correct address they will get you. You can hide for a while. I have been driving two free vehicles for a year now. I have saved enough to buy a car outright. But I will wait until they find both of them. The people saying they aren't a repo company on here are in fact employees trying to do damage control to negate the information found on this site.

These people from Global Investigations use scare tactics to intimidate people into giving information.  I think they should be prosecuted for posing as "investigators" with a "case number" and making innocent people believe they are affiliated with law enforcement.  They have called members of my family regarding someone we knew a long time ago; my family is in no way connected with this person and they should not be harrassed by the jerks.  I agree with Camry Solara Free that those who have posted saying Global Investigations is not a debt collection agency must be employees trying to do damage control.  It is quite obvious that they are, and the fact that they will not tell who they are or what they do up front and that they intimidate innocent people just shows how sorry they really are.  LIARS!!!

Global Investigative Services (Global) is a name that is used by several companies that have no association with each other.  One is incorporated (Inc.) and the other is a limited liability company (LLC).  Each one offers different types of services.  Global in Maryland, which is incorporated only does background investigations for companies assisting them in their hiring process.  Global in Texas does skip tracing.  When you get a call from a Global that is looking for you, then it is the one in Texas.  If you need a company to assist you in screening your employees then call the Global in Maryland.

It is a fun job and a challenge. Its like a good treasure hunt with big rewards,$$$$$$$$. I have been on several repo's WOW what a rush. I think what is great is when we get your car at work and then call you to look out the door or window. WE are all laughing, you should see their face. It is priceless. We will continue to get all of you loser, deadbeat payer.We have taken cars at Christmas, funerals, parties, weddings,etc. You can hide in today's world there is to much information available. There is a class action lawsuit against Chase Auto for auto dial calls to family..search google. Dont listen to this group of want to Be's they will tell you to to surrender your auto and walk away Free and Clear! Dont believe it!!! In two years you will be sued by Chase..they will sell you auto dirt cheap and charge you thousands in lawyer fees and service fees. And you will owe the difference on the loan!
