Got a MSM to call this number to unlock my debit card.  My card was not locked.  SCAM

Dear Hr Block member, your emerald card has been locked. Call 877 413 0284 to unlock it.

you guys dont get it. Im a police officer and can tell you that the people making these calls are not in the US. Its an over seas credit card scam. if you enter your card number they will also ask you for your pin number so they can transfer your card info to a blank card and use it online. no bank will ever call you via automated voice or text and ask you for this type of information and there is nothing your phone company can do to track an overseas disposable cell phone.

I just c got the same message  you Hr Block Emerald Card has been blocked  please call to unblock it......  I wonder  if we all have Boost phones?  or where they get these numbers?????  Now I have to turn my volume off cuz I go to bed early and get up real early.....  God I hate this!

god people are so crazy , when i herd the robot voice it was funny . i think kids with a decent comp could do much better so this person or persons is not very smart , they will be caught easaily i think because they evidently dont think things through . HAPPY HOLIDAYS :)

This is a scam number trying to get your credit card information

They texted me from this number as well, saying my debit card had been locked.  I immediately called my bank, who denied such a thing happening.  They have been reported.

I called customer service through my cellphone, reported what happened.  The CSR blocked that number from EVER calling me again.  She said she would also forward that number, what happened, and the time and date of the call to their Fraud Department, so that they can trace that call back through their switch, through "translations," and through the switch and carrier that the call originated from.  She said that sometimes when this happens they will even literally monitor and record calls from the originating phone so that they have a "voice print" and a recording and other technical data associated with the call that will be admissible evidence in court, and that they actually sometimes "triangulate" on that cell phone's signal to attempt to locate, identify and arrest the originator of these calls.  Please COPY this message and DO THE SAME with any calls like this that come to you. Also, many cell phones have the capability of allowing you to record specific calls, should you ever need to do so.  BTW, the number that shows on your Caller ID may or may not be the actual phone number that the calls come from, especially if they have a digital phone system that allows them to program in whatever they want to appear in your Caller ID display.  All I want for Christmas is to read in the paper or see on the news is where these criminals get busted. Oh, and "peace on earth."

This is obviously criminal rip-offs, and you may be sure they DO read these list reports.  You may be equally sure I will report it to my carrier immediately.   They may or may not give a damn; you may be sure they will pretend to though.  Ya never know, maybe it will get something done.  I'd love to see or hear of someone doing these things getting seriously busted, their equipment confiscated and them imprisoned and fined.   I will see what I can do for them.   Happy Christmas everyone!

I called the phone number and it connected immediately to robot voice asking to enter 16 digit card number. I add 16 random numbers and it stated could not recognize card number. After three random entries the system disconnected the call.

Received a dozen texts from 8774130284 about a "locked" Grow Financial FCU card and to call that number to unlock.  I just deleted them, but they were certainly persistent.  I tried getting a reply text from them but no-joy.  Regardless however, if you see this number ignore it.  They'll stop after sending a dozen or so, possibly sooner if you don't give them an indication the messages are being received by anyone!
