We were denied too and a supporting agency told us once we got 2 months behind that they would work with us.  It worked and we got our modification.

Maybe I need to think about finding an attorney, I just don't have the cash.  But being screwed by BOA is killing me.

I gave those people from India, who were the "lawyers from BOA" $3,000.00 to help me get a modification last year and the day of the final payment was taken from my account, I couldn't get in touch with them.  Yup they were from India. Then recently they have been calling saying they would give me a refund, but I would have to send them $149.00 via western union.  I just gave up, I'll never see that money again and I don't think I will ever get out from this mortgage.  I have been in this home, that I love, for 8.5 years and I have no equity in it at all.

How did you get a loan modification.  I tried a year ago and was denied because I was current on my mortgage.  I found out this past fall that you cannot be denied because you are current.  I am so frustrated with BOA and yes, Countrywide too.

Just got two call in a row from 877-422-1761 around 9am on a Saturday morning. The recording in a female voice made reference to the supposed FEDEX package _which I have not received_ and said to press #1 to be put in touch with their call center. I checked this list first, and have decided not to call. If it were a legitimate operation, the call would have identified who was calling, especially on a subject as important as retaining a home threatened with foreclosure. One of the previous comments sound right... BoA is just half-heartedly going through the motions so they can legally claim they tried.

If any of you would challenge BOA to produce the promissory note, you would probably have
your homes for free.

BOA does not have any documents to say they can collect your mortgage or
foreclose.  Countywide was a mess, and it was passed onto the BOA, they don't have any
legal notes.

Search the net for template letters to send the mortgage holder, or
hire an attorney that knows how to do this.

Again, search the net.

Yes, it is Bank Of America, Home Retention Dept. If they service your mortgage, they will be paying  people because of fraudulent actions. Suggest you talk with Making Home Affordable and not dealing with BOA

Do not fret if u have been contacted by one of these letters or BOA. If u read the last page it tells u that this is not an attempt to collect debt, but to inform u of your options.

In 2008 I was discharged and no longer own my property. However at each of my last five addresses I have received numerous legitimate letters from BOA. They want to scare me, trick me, into making a payment because the moment I do I take responsibility of the mortgage again. Whether ur in forclosure, bankruptcy, or not doesn't matter. They harass u with this stuff hoping that they won't have to foot the bill for a mortgage they bought, and are not (or potentially will not) making any money from. The whole system is flaw. If u Everex get a chance watch the documentary "Inside Job" narrated by Matt Damon. It explains everything.#deregulation

For the past two months I receive at least 2 calls each day from this number claiming to be Bank of America and making reference to a package that I was supposed to have received in the Mail.  They said that if I received the package in error to call 1-877-430-3412 which according to my search is Bank of America in India.....I did not call that number.....Thank you God for caller ID.....What can I do to stop this harassment?

"or has discharge from a bankruptcy, that this letter is for information purposes only and is not to collect a debt or an intention to violate the automatic stay" Why this collectors are making sach ignorat mistake to sent a package in the name of BOA. Next time I am going to sent to Sacramento and see if they are going to liked or I'm going to sue this &^+?company and BOA.

If you have or had a Countrywide Loan, of course it was most likely fraudulent, or Bank of America tried to foreclose with robo signing, the attorney generals  sued. It was for millions. They have to redo these loans. If you have/had a loan like this, see a lawyer.

same here. Same damn  animated calls with no one on the line. recieved several packages in fed x and several in the mail. Even though we are not in the process of loan modification.  My spouse went into the bank in person and filled out a form for BOA to talk to me as he is out of the country alot. We got a reject letter from BOA saying the letter was a fake and my spouse did not write the letter. LOL On BOA my spouse was in the BOA office infront of a " loan officer" writing the letter and the " loan officer" was the one who faxed it to the head BOA.
The head office told the loan officer spouse needed to sign new cards lol there were faxing them right over. Well that was before Christmas we are still waiting on those cards.
Funny how BOA is broke and poor but spends billions on sending these " FAKE " loan modifications out. I personally am done with BOA games and hoops to jump over and through.
I activated my phone block and blocked all the number that kept calling from BOA and  HOme Retention.  Funny when you ask Home retention if they are part of BOA they say NO>. If you ask the  collectors are you part of BOA> NO.
OH easy way to get them off the phone tell them first you are recording the call. They tell you to turn yours off. I say nope turn yours off. Nope so call is ended. I say I am recording it for my personal records.

Have been getting repeated calls from 877-422-1761.  When they leave a message, it is about a FedEx package with a request to call the above number.  I have received 3 packages.  This has been going on for over six weeks.  I have spent hours on the phone with BofA being shuffled from dept to dept to try to clear up this matter and put an end to the harrassment, but it continues.  My Countrywide loan was sold to BofA.  Like so many others, I would never have done business with them voluntarily.  My payment record is impecable, and I have never applied for any kind of modification.  I have been told by those who are on the other end of this number that BofA has been experiencing a glitch in their system and thousands of these calls and FedEx packages have been generated.  I will be looking to transfer my loan to a local credit union as soon as possible.

It does help. Thanks for posting. I am on my third round of facing foreclosure with B*****ds of America. The first time I jumped through all their hoops. It was a phenomial waste of time and record gathering, time that I really needed for all the job searching I was also doing. In the end I cashed in all my savings to bring my mortgage up to date and keep my house. They really are not interested in helping you at all. They just want their money. Period. They don't give a crap about the family that they are putting out on the street. BTW, that's why you can't understand the message they leave, because the caller is from India. Just another example of how B*****ds of America cares more about saving money than the Americans they hurt. We need to fight back people. Support Occupy Walls Street or better yet research Dylan Ratigan and www.getmoneyout.com. Good luck to all of you. Peace.
