i took out a payday loan and was unable to payback the full amount .i have fallen on hard times and just having a hard time staying caught up on rent and utilities .i set up payments with them but i just can't keep up.they make it sound like ur going to jail for not paying it back.in that case 95% of americans would be in jail .i don't own anything my car is payed for not worth what i owe them .not sure what to do or are they just makinh empty threats.

Jacobson and associates number is8773979471- and they are in Amherst NY- ask a lawyer to get a copy of their phone recordings of harassment and sue them and report them to attorney general of NY! They are being investigated for criminal activity-  all of their employees are as well!

Jacobson and associates are being investigated by the state of new York.  They use illegal tactics and violate all consumer right laws.  If you deal with them, report them to NYs attorney general's office asap!

Jacobson kept calling asking for a person that does not relate to me at all. I asked nice for them not to call.
She called right back and was mocking me, how wierd, anything I said she repeated. I want to complain but

FIRST OFF THESE PEOPLE CALL AND SAY THEY ARE FROM AN ATTORNEY OFFICE, A Mrs. Hunter was the first one to call me, I set up 25.00 monthly payments by credit card, for which she said she could not send me receipts for till it was paid in full.What a JOKE! NO proof of payment. I was supose to call in every month to make my payment over phone, the card I had was a temporary card and I told her not to use it or keep it. That when my permanent card came I will give her that info when I called in for second payment. When it was time to make my second payment my hours at work had got way cut and I was un able to make my second payment. I called her to let her know early in the afternoon before close that I was unable to make a payment, she had already ran the card I told her not to. Therefore saying I get charged a NSF charge and my first payment went to that. Are you kidding me?? I lost my job after this and she kept calling and threatening me with court. I told her all I can pay her is 20.00 a month cuz i have no job and kids and loosing my place now. She didn't want to take that amount. So, I told her if you have to take me to court then go ahead it would probly be better. Months go by with continuous calls from over 10 different names from same company, and I would answer and they would hang up the minute I answered. I think they are trying to make it look like I hung up on them!! When I did talk to some one or I would call them back after they hung up on me, i would have to explain my story all over again and again.
Yesterday a Don Verchelli called, said It is a check fraud civil matter that is being sent to county and im facing 3 months in jail. He would not listen to me at all and told me to have fun serving my time.
This business is NOT  BBB accredited, under bbb site it says the company type is a collection agency

Got a call from this number and had a friend call it back and I was like who is this and they said that they were Jacobson and Associates, calling about an investigation that is gonna be sent to my county and blah blah blah then she went on to say that it was about Cash Net USA-she told all of this to someone other than me and then when my friend said she would try to get the message to me they said ok thank you.

Got this call from 1-877-423-6009 caller id says James Morrell.  When I answered the guy asked for Mr. XXXXX. I stated they no longer have this number, HE RUDELY SAID "Its that convenient" with sarcasm in his voice! Then I said no sir, this is XXXXX residents, if you kept up with phone records you will see this number was just turned on, he kept dragging his words out How Convenient, How Convenient!  [removed:lang] I hope you read this shyt! Some people do tell the truth!

Got 25 calls from this number all of which they would call and hang up. Then finally once they took it off mute they said they could play this game all day until they got off at 6:30. Get them please!

Called my brother first and then my office and asked for several extensions until someone answered. At that point he said he was an attorney and needed them to give me a message to call him about a legal matter. Said his name was Mathew Davis. I will call later to see what this scam is all about.

Got a phone call from this number and was told that if I didn't pay 125.00 today that they would send out drug dogs and 2 suited officers to my house!!!!

Called my land line looking for my ex husband; said that he applied for a job with them and # got disconnected; don't have to lie to kick it! Will call back tomorrow and send a cease and desist letter!!

DO NOT give these people any of your information.  This is a complete fraud. I have no debt and they called my phone and used a ploy that someone used a stolen check from ME to pay a debt.  Sorry idiots, I dont have checks, not for about 4 years now.  I'm a police officer so I called them and asked what their address was and the first thing he wanted was my name and social ("to pull up my case") YA RIGHT. Of course I didn't give it to them and asked what their address was? They wouldnt give it to me.  Any LEGITIMATE business will have no problem giving you their address.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO, thats what they are hoping to get OUT OF YOU is your name and social security number so they can use it.  

PS: Called the Fed. Cyber special investigation team in Utah (where I have friends) and reported them.

These people are a collection agency, using whatever threats that they think will work to try to get some money for a debt(usually an unpaid payday loan). Even if thay do follow through with there threats of turning it over to the county courts, it would never be prosecuted by the District Attorney because it was a payday loan and not a hot check. in order for the DA to prosecute for HOT CHECK he has to show that the accused had intention of not paying back the payday loan when it was applied for and recieved. So no worries, threaten all you want. I have a call filter app on my Droid phone and every time you call from a new number i just add it to a list of numbers that my phone automatically hangs up on.

Yep, They keep calling even at work, saying they are case managers, or sheriff. Interrupting our work while eveyone is busy attending to emergencies. This is a harrassment.
