Thanks so much for the message.  I actually gave them my info. for a pre-paid debit card that I never use.  Something just wouldn't let me give them my checking info or info on my credit cards.  Then the fact that I realized the lady who was the processor was the same as the secretary.  Plus the guy threatened to issue a warrant for me, and I am a paralegal so that was the last thing he should have done.  Of course, I immediately contacted the attorney I work for who researched and called me back.  Simply ignore these people. :)

Yes, they also called and left a message.  They mentioned they had my name and ss #, but never left any name for who  they were looking for.  They also mentioned that I had 72 hours to respond before taking legal action.  The name of the representative is Anthony Jamerson.

got a call from 877-426-2470 that was left on my voice-mail. They did not ask for a specific person. Sd had 72 hrs to respond. So i call back number, did not get a live person. Entered ext left sd was invalid and to hold on or dial o for operator. Then a recording came sd you have reached John Anderson and Vitor Lynch. harrassment is against the law. If they are attoneys like they say they are then act like it and be professional. Sound like some type of scam to me!!! Stupid

Got a message from 877-426-2470. Said they had my SS# and a summons. I have 72 hrs to call them back. Ha! They don't know who they are calling. Generic theatening pre-recorded drivel.

They left msg..asked for no one..said 72hrs to call..instantly recogized as spam (to me) but its easy to see how people get caught off guard b/c its so off the wall and random.  Listen too it twice have a good laugh and then report it as harassment.....

I just spoke to someone named Elijah Michaels. 202-559-0169. i received an EMAIL saying I awed and addition $500 for a loan that was paid in full....TWO YEARS AGO! What he doesn't know is that I have connections with lawyers and I will forward this information to them tomorrow. When I asked him to send me the info in writing, he said no can do. Ha. Did he really think I was that stupid! Oh what legitimate office is open at 11:45PM? seriously?

They have been calling me from this 8774262470 number saying that they are sending a file to my courthouse within 72hours to be put in as a judgement against me.  The message they left said the judgement has my name and SSN on it but they never said my name.  He said he was Anthony Jaimeson of ACN.  They ask me to contact them and I tried cause I was curious and wondering what in the world this could be!  Now they won't answer my calls. Just an answering service. This is why I decided to look them up and ended up here.  I was surprise to see all these people talking about them.  I'm no longer worried now!  Thanks Guys!

Same crap as above from "Anthony Jameson" -- a message that unless I call back within 72 hours the matter will be forwarded to my "local jurisdiction." These people have a way of building information from old settled accounts and then are hoping you do not have a settlement letter in order to refute them. The writer above is correct, they buy these accounts for pennies on the dollar, and they INCLUDE balances that were settled in good faith. AND if you have filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy, it doesn't have to be reopened to include them if you forgot to list them. Check the 6th.Circuit federal ruling in re: Madaj, then let them flail in the breeze. Honest collectors would have nothing to do with this scum that is breeding in this new financial environment. These fools don't even know if they are calling an attorney, so offer no information, verify nothing.

Got call from ACN looking for my wife's nephew who lived with be for a while.  Called back 877-426-2470  Spoke to a Mr. Anthony Jamison.  He was rude, cursed at me and hung up.  I called them back 3 times and got hung up on 3 times.

Unlike many of the financially unfortunate individuls that these people are hounding, I have a job (Thank God) and money (thank god once again).  I will then hire a real Investigator to find out who they really are. I will fly to Georgia.  I will contact the Real Police, have them arrested for harrassment. Then I will hire a real Attorney (who is a REAL member of the Georgia Bar Association), and I will sue them in Civil court for all expenses incurred. I hope that one of these charming individuals (Lynch, Anderson or Jamisom) respond with more than a 5 word sentence. (Maybe the have a limited vocabulary ?)

I actually had the pleasure of dealing with them yesterday.  They had me half way convinced.  Well convinced enough to give them the info for a pre-paid card that I don't use, and now of course, one that I will never put money on :) Wish I could mail them that card...lol...I realized it was a scam when I called back and the "ghetto-a** secretary" was the same "prim and proper processing lady"...I thought it was cute....they suck...lol...I called the company they were "collecting for" and I owe them nothing...Wheew!!! So glad that I did not send their a** anything,,,it pays to know the law and they should research it before they call people.  The guy lost me when he threatened to have an warrant issued...In ALABAMA...lol...payday loans are not apart of the small loans act and if the check is returned due to insufficient funds..then o well...nothing they can do..the account has to be closed before the loan is taken to prove fraud..so on behalf of all the people they have tried to Scam.....Victor Lynch and his entire crew can kiss my a**

Can you please tell me what State you are licensed to practice Law in ?  I can't find any record of you being a member of the Georgia Bar Association,  I can't find any record of you being a member of the New York State Bar Association and No Listing for you under the American Bar Association.  Isn't it against the law for you to misrepresent yourself as an Attorney when you are not ?

Left a message looking for a person I barely know.  Called himself "Lead Investigator Jack Carls" with a good ole boy accent.  Using a crap phone that is so bad you can hardly understand him.  Left a message on my home machine at 12:38 pm and said if he was contacted by 2:00 pm the "summons" would be sent.  Really?  A summons for court in Georgia when the number you called is in Arizona?  And whatever they are trying to collect on probably isn't registered in AZ to do business. Call record showed call was made from 678 894 9714.

They have called me 2 times wanting information about my sister and brother inlaw.  They Scare me by saying My sister and brother inlaw are writing bad checks and they are going to sent the authorities after them.  Of course I didn't give them there number and just took there name and number.  They need to leave me alone!

No they are not legal.  They tried the same crap last year with me although they were using a different name (Victor Lynch).  They changed up their name and phone number but they weren't smart enough to use a different voice!  *lmao*

Basically they are trying to scam people who took out payday loans years ago.  They will try to say that you still owe them even though you may have paid them off.  DON'T FALL FOR IT!  They HAVE TO send you something in writing verifying the debt.  If they refuse then they they have absolutely no case.  But I wouldn't even respond to them.  If they haven't sent you anything in the mail (certified) by now then they are just scamming you.

These idiots are HILARIOUS!  I called the number to get a name of the company (since the recording didn't leave it..) and found the place to be ACN And Associates.  Went to the website and had a good giggle for about five minutes.  The website is completely amateurish AND they have a GMAIL account.  Rule number 1...if a company lists a free email provider as a way to contact them then they are probably not a legit company.   Also, they have a form to enter in payment information which looks completely unsecured.  These scammers are really not very smart.
