They called me and asked to speak with someone I'd never heard of. I told them that person didn't live here and I'd never head of him. I always look up numbers here so as soon as I saw that they were some shady collection agency I blocked their number. He said that he was sorry for troubling me and swore they'd never call again, but I don't believe him.

Called my prepaid cell phone about 08:30 this morning. No one has this number except my boss, so they were not calling for me. I did not answer.

I continue to get calls from this number. Normally Early in the morning. They wake me up. I say hello. No answer. Sometimes this number will call every hour, I don't answer and they don't leave a message either. It seems as though it is just a harassment for some reason.  I see from the web site, this could be some collection agency.?. I have absolutely no bad or past debts, so this must be some kind of hoax. I have no clue why they call me.

Eliminate my cellphone bill?  yeah, right.  Spam.

I had a call from this number, who I am assuming is probably Credit Control, since I have had calls from them from 877-395-3451 over the past two days. The guy that has called me is rude and totally unprofessional and had the nerve to say that I am the one who is unprofessional AFTER he yelled at me on the phone. He tried methods of intimidation and as someone else posted, was very scripted and never allowed me to get a word in. These people go to extensive training sessions to try and intimidate people and usually they are the one's who are easily intimidated.

Not that you'll be back to see this, but - it is NOT illegal for a collection agency to identify themselves.  What they CANNOT do is say they're calling in reference to a debt.  Again, if asked who's calling, the company MUST identify themselves.  Per federal law (the FDCPA).  Maybe you should quit being an armchair lawyer instead of just saying what you think sounds good.

Twice I have received a call for a coworker on my DIRECT line.  I provided the coworkers direct line the first time and transferred the caller.  The second time I saw the number I picked up and transferred it.  I called them back and asked that my number be removed from their records.  The girl told me that my # was not on file with them, so I asked why am I getting calls then.  I told her I would need her supervisor because this is a place of business and they are taking time away from my schedule to deal with something that I am not a part of.  The HEFFER told me to tell my coworker to call them and the calls would stop coming to my line; then she hung up on me. She stopped just short of saying tell him to pay his bills.

Whoever they are they call and hang up.  Plan to block the number on my phone since I'm on the "do not call" list.

I keep calls for a Susan and they disregard my request to remove the number.

I recieved a call. Name was Mike Miller. Call back number 877-431-7784 ext. 7784. He asked for a family member but would not elaborate. Reading the previous posts, I am thankful you all have this site so that I know what's going on. Ridiculous because its not even my DEBT!!!

Yeah I just got a call from the same outfit, saying that a debt for a lot of money was charged off back in 07, I said I don't owe anything, the guy kept asking me questions.  I just ignored him, and then I said I DO NOT OWE any money, and he started yelling so I hung up

This number showed on my caller ID. I have NO debts. I am 99.9% sure my ex husband does not either that I would need contacted for (divorce final in 2010, last debt followed up on 10/2012). No voicemail. Just plugged the number in here and saw this. Not happy about the fact that I might have had my identity stolen, I am just starting to rebuild my credit.

"UNAVAILABLE" called 4/16/13, 12:33PM.  I NEVER answer these calls.  No message left, as usual.

Keeps calling frequently.  I have no debt so why are they calling here.

Got a call yesterday from this number and a long, rambling voicemail after a bunch of "If you are not ___, please hang up" and "Do not listen to this message where others can hear you" stuff.  

Received a call from another number today saying the person they were trying to reach needed to contact 'David Miller' at this number, then my neighbor tells me HE got a call saying the same thing and that his number was given to them in order to contact that same person.  All I can figure is that they're going by addresses and calling whatever numbers are associated with them on some kind of Google search.  The number they called from is 813-341-2546.  Both numbers come up in a Google search as being connected to this shady debt collector who isn't even BBB-accredited.  I don't even want to call these people to tell them they have the wrong person... VERY suspicious and weird.

This number is for Credit Control LLC. They
are a collection agency working for HFC....
better known as House Hold Finance Corp.
They were hired by HFC to go after people
that didnt pay HFC back in 2007 and up. I know
this because I just called them today and spoke
with some guy and this is what he told me.

Robert Goldberg called, said he was calling in reference to TJ Robinson my relative (no such relative that I know of). Urgent matter of coarse. My hubby called back. He was way too nice. I'm figuring out how to report them now.

I created a contact in my cell phone named "Do Not Answer" for this number.
I never answer when they call. I have no idea who they are.  
If it is important, people will leave a message.
They don't leave message. I don't call back.

I want this number to stop calling my home ASAP.

They kept calling and when I picked up no one is there.  When I called back, they refused to tell me who they are ... then they asked me if I am somebody which I have no idea ... very strange.
