I got this text 2 days ago Oct 15th 2013 saying we are holding a $250.00 gift voucher in your name please call us @ 1=877=432-4070 now to redeem. stop2stop help4help msg rates may apply. I didn't trust it from word one and deleted.

I've gotten it before an when I called to claim the prize they needed a credit card number to load the money on so u gave them a pre paid card number an they said they could not except it so it's a scam wal mart would giv you a pre paid wal mart gift card not load money on your credit card SCAM.

I got the text message as well. I wish there was a way we could get them to stop altogether. Someone isn't going to be smart enough to know its a scam. They never gave a name or anything. I had to ask how I "won" this $250 gift card. He said through a survey. I said what company is this and he replied CCI. I have never even heard of this!! I told them I didn't look at magazines and he kept pushing the issue. Then put me on hold when I hung up. I hope people are getting smarter in not always believing everything!! Total Scam

its actually legit...there's just a catch. which is u have to subscribe to 3 magazines......which totaled to about $17.99 monthly. once u get your card u can cancel your subscription.

i think the best thing to do in this situation is to go to walmat and bi*** to high heaven that you keep recieving these annoying text messages i got them to i never called the number back but i went into walmart and told them how pissed i was that somet third party company is using them as a scam and if i am going to be getting anoying text posing as there business and they are not going to do nothing about it i want the damn gift card my text was for a $250 one and they gave me one for half $125 so my advice to you guys get good at bitching and show the walmart managers this and dont take no for an answer tell you get something

I did they ask for your address and say what 3 magazines you would like to receive for free during the next three months and when I told them I was not interested in magazines they put me on hold, until I hang up....

I got a text message that says ....hello...to claim your $250 Wal-Mart Voucher, please call us @ (877) 432-4070  Gift ID: IG-014  

This is terrible for people who are really struggling right now and may not know any better.  I think its sickening and whoever these people are should be prosecuted.

I received a text from these guys. Here's what I got.

Got the same text and asked to call (877) 432-4070. It came from (970) 324-7231 which is a number in Greeley, Colorado.  Not sure how to report the number.

Yep-same text about getting a $250 gift card to Walmart.  I replied STOP to unsubscribe earlier in the day to another text (for a speedy loan) and these text have been pouring in since.  I too, am on the do not call registry.  I suspect by texting STOP that I triggered a signal that my number was good and they shared it with all the scammers out there

Text from 5129552155 saying call  8774324070 about Walmart gift card.  Said YUTo  (written just like that) claim voucher to call that number and YUGift ID  is DW-017YUYU  glad I'm smart enough to reasearch it before calling or texting back! If its to good to be true it usually is!

I GOT A TEXT FROM THESE PEOPLE TOO. SAME THING ABOUT THE WALMART GIFT CARD. THE NUMBER THAT TEXT ME WAS (804)244-2078.  THESE PEOPLE ARE STUPID.

This is definitely a scam to try to make money. Don't waste your time.

Idk how you get my phone number? i just had a new phone yesterday and why the reason want my card numbers? they can send mail to me and prove it! i don't need a magazines. And espeaily i won $250 vouchers. But i can go walmart and find out is the prank or not? Definetly not cool to prank people like that. she freaking talk extremely rude to me on the phone. i don't apperiate they don't need to talk to me that way. Thank you.

Yup, just got the text about the $250 walmart voucher too. Ew, I hate Walmart its definitely not something I ever signed up for.

I tried calling the number back to talk to someone about how they received my number , but with no luck. No one would pick up the line.
I like how they are sending the message out from a different number. Total scam!!!

Just got the same text a couple minutes ago and called the numbers back from a pay phone and after pressing 0000 I finally got someone and they were less than sympathetic when I told them they had no business calling me.

You're correct about replying STOP. It's similar to SPAM email when you click their Opt-out link and it only tells their email program that your address is live and in use, so they will just move your address to another phony list, or sell/exchange it with other Spammers. Legit marketers, especially well-known names, will abide by requests to stop calling, emailing or texting. Scammers do not care if you're on any Do-Not-Call list.

There's no reason for you to be typing in all CAPS!!! That's obnoxious.

They're trying to hook you into magazine subscriptions.
It starts with, "As part of ....  you can receive 3 free magazine subscriptions.  What magazines do you like to read?"  When you answer, I"m not interested in any magazines - they hang up on you.
