This number calls every day and we don't answer. Thank you to the previous posts. We have blocked this number.

Dont take their calls.  They are a rip off.  It's owned by a couple of guys that once did students loans several years ago until B of A stopped buying loans from them do to questionable business practices.  And yes, the calls are from India, then transferred to call center in Florida.  

I worked for them several years ago and found out in short order that it was a border line scam and got out as quickly as I could.  

Do your home work and you will find better options.

A guy with an Indian accent called me. My cell shows 011. Looks like an international call. He said he would offer a discount for my gas. He knows my phone and address. He asked for my Washington Gas account number. I felt suspicious and told him I would call back.

This looks suspicious. if Washington Gas is determined to offer me a discount it should come automatically. Why does someone else have to call everyday from an unidentified number. Don't they know the national DO NOT CALL registry? and the rules? Someone has to act!!

2/1/2012 - very hard to understand. Offered a 10% discount on natural gas supply. Through Wash Gas Customer Choice, suppliers telephone numbers can be verified.

I called this number back and their automated greeting said please hold for the next available agent.

After listening to the most depressing classical music for over 5 minutes I finally hung up.

This needs to be stopped

8/19/2010 - I get a call from this number 877-436-7161 daily and when I pick up the same greeting will come up and then music.  It's been going on for a about a month now and this number still calls me daily.  I was just curious so I called yesterday and today and got the same unidentified company name and generic automated message and I waited for about 30 minutes yesterday and today I waited about 45 minutes and no response from the other side.  I don't know what this is for but someone needs to fix and stops doing to us.

I got a call from this number on 6/1/2010 around 10AM EST.  They didn't leave a message, and when i called them back, the recorded message was "thank you for calling, the next available rep will be with you shortly".  Basically, it didn't say the "name" of the company, so I hung up right away.

Got a call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.

Same GSA Government Contract scam. Indian woman this time. I had some fun by asking her which government contract she was calling about. Each time I asked the question she had to go back to the beginning of her script and repeat it again. I'd vary the question by saying things like "can you give me a contract number?" which again sent her back to the beginning of her script.

Thanks for your post!  This puts it all together.  I used to get hangups from this number 2 years ago - but one day I did talk to a person who said they were will "Government Staffing" and wanted to know if I wanted to do business with the government.  I asked, "State or Federal?"  He slowly answered, "Federal" as if he didn't expect the question.  I told him our company already works exclusively with Federal Contracts and asked what he was offering.  He got off the phone quick.

Now, I'm getting the calls back again.  I think the must have purchased a new set of phone numbers.  I appreciate your post with the actual company name - saved me a boat load of time.

This number called my cell phone on 8/18.  Left no message.

I received a call from 877-436-7161 at 11:59 am today. This is the second call from this group in the last week.  They claim to be GSA Government Contracts. He said his company could get government contracts for our business.

For both calls, when I answered and said, "hello", music began to play, which sounded like a Mexican hat dance, or Flamenco dance number. When I said "hello" the second time, some fellow said he name was Sanjay or Sunjay. He sounded like he was from India. He asked to speak with the owner, and I said that I couldn't understand him, as his accent was strong. He hung up on me.

Same outfit, said they were calling about Government Staffing contract business.  I told him we weren't interested and he said the owner of my company would have to make that decision.  I told him I make these decisions for my company and he said "whatever I'll just call back".  Can't wait for his next call, think I'll have some fun with this idiot.

They called my company and asked for the owner of the company, they said they where from GSA Access Group.....I transferred them to our fake employee!

Pick up to onhold music.  After 45 seconds call is connected but I didn't wait around to find out who was on the other end.
