called my office number today but hung up immediately upon encountering our voice mail system. Blocked.

You all need a phone service that allows you to block specific numbers. 99% of these callers hang up when they reach our voice mail system.

Liberty Power. Caller kept pressing to talk to "the person in charge of electrical services". No matter how many times I told them the call would not be put through (management doesn't take cold calls) they kept insisting that they needed to talk to someone. They were clearly trying to sell something. I had to hang up on them.

The web site http://www.libertypowercorp.com/ is quite vague about where they are and what they do.

Does it matter if the caller is "Indian" or has a " heavy middle-eastern accent" ? Wold you feel less annoyed with the call if it was from a person with no accent? Is there even such a thing? Everyone has an accent. Do you "ask" someone a question or do you "ax" them.

The caller said he was from Liberty Power. ASKed to speak to the person in charge of the electric bill.

We get these calls on our cell phones. No message. I like the fax auto redial idea. Can you imagine if everyone did it,  it would be wonderful.  

Similar to previous posts:  No Message, just a blank voicemail seemingly with other people/noise in the background.

Please add to do not call list, no one will speak when I answer the call and when I call back, I am left on hold for several minutes.  

Calls practically every day if not twice in a given day.  Don't recognize the number.  They don't leave a message so I guess it is nothing important.

Received a call - when I answered, they just hung up. Called number back, and very thick accented Middle-Easterner answered "Liberty Power, how many I help you". So I just hung up.

I tell them we don't use electricity.  We have candles.

Totally screwed around with them for 7 minutes. I hate telemarketers - especially ones that don't know who they are calling. They asked for Naomi Cohain. Our foundation is IN MEMORY of Naomi. So I found out they are "Liberty Electric" and I sang Electric Avenue, and made reference to the 1980's kids show The Electric Company. The dud had no idea what I was talking about. I told him I paid $5.00 a month for electricity and asked if they could beat it. They said YES! Crazy people! I finally told the guy I'd been screwing with him for 7 minutes and asked him for a donation. LOL

got a call from that number, except it was followed by 011+877+436-7162. Do you think its from oversees? Fishing for info, etc? No message was left.

Got a call with someone asking to speak with whoever handles our electric and power bills. The guy, Steve, actually left a message and a call back number, 877-436-7162, ext3890. Says he's with Liberty.

Received call today. No message. Probably electricity supplier as stated above.

877-436-7162 called my house looking to speak with my husband.  When I said that he wasn't home, he works, may I take a message, the rude man just hung up.
I am on the do not call list - doesn't that work anymore?

You people are so funny, ive been working in call centers for years. and the ones that call in regards to your gas and electric aren't always a scam. If you do a little research in your area most of the time your utility company backs these programs. You just have to be careful when choosing a supplier. there are three main differences, variable vs fixed rates. consolidated billing vs separate billing. all inclusive vs non inclusive rates. If you do you homework you'd see, choosing and electric supplier is the better decision. Your utility company cannot give a lower rate on your electric because they are not legally allowed to buy your electric in bulk. They have to buy it at market value. hence why your rates change when you dont have a supplier. So of coarse if you have a fixed rate.. your gonna save more some months and less others.. but in the long run your only saving 20 to 30 bucks a year.. but hey, i think its worth it. I mean your state said they wanted a choice.. they voted.. and now they are getting what they asked for.

Received call from this number today at 12:30.  No message.

They are trying to scam utility customers into higher costs. How long have you worked there? Do you know your pants are on fire? Have you seen your caps lock key lately?

Trying to sell me electric power at discount rate....SCAM BEWARE

This person just called my place of business asking if I was the person in charge of the power. I said no they are on vacation until next week. He said he would just call back. I asked to take a message and this is the information he gave me he had a middle eastern accent and his name was Kevin, from Liberty Power, an energy supplier company. We could call him back at 877-436-7162 x3881.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone

This number calls me allll the time. I never answer. Ugh!

Someone from this number called my boss regarding electricity for our NYC office.  She told them to send her something in writing so they sent her a fax also.

I get repeated calls from this number and usually they hang up when I say hello.  It is unwanted and I would want it to stop.  Thanks

Claims to be network solutions about my domain. Seems fishy, may not be them.
