You can register a complaint with the FCC on line.  When they get numerous complaints on a number or company, they will take action (fines and pulling their phone service).  The web site is www.fcc.gov/complaints.  Fill out the form and send it to them.

Got two phone calls from this number saying that I had won $1000000 from Publishers Clearing House and that he would be at my doorstep within 25 minutes with a check and a gift.  Please dress nice for a photo.  You'd think that one of the governing entities within the US should be able to stop this crap!!!!!

This kind of nonsense should be stopped. They get a hold of older or disabled people and they fall for it. It came as a text and a family member fell for it. Please somebody do something to stop these people. When I called the number back for this person, they don't answer with a company name. When I tried to talk with them they kept hanging up.

Replied "STOP" to discontinue calls to claim my $100 reward certificate. We'll see what happens.

got a text message from this caller stating to call this number to claim your $100.00 rewards...when I called the number to see what this "nonsense" was all about, I gto someone that could not speak good english and kept asking me my name...Heck, I even spelled it out for her... then she abruptly hung up on me... I want this number added to my DO NOT CALL list..

they wanted my name and address then asked which major credit card i carried or bank card. When i said none i was promptly hung up on.

Same as everyone else. They txt from 774-208-2286 asking you to call (877)439-0873 to claim your 100$ reward. Its a scam.

My txt came from 830-822-2914 to call 877-439-0873 to claim my $100 reward. I called to find out I hand to pay a shipping and handling fee of $3.00. I told them I shouldn't have to pay for something I won and hung up.

269-861-0447 is the number that texted me the same bs.

Got the same toll free # for a $100 rewards certificate.  It came from a cell # 205-447-0889.

The number they used to text me was 618-789-0163

Got a random text from 706-284-3980 saying "congratulations... please call 877-439-0873 to claim your $100 rewards certificate." Called the 877 # and got a recorded Indian message saying "Thank you for calling ..." and the name was so garbled I couldn't understand it. Then it automatically disconnected after 14 seconds. Anybody know what this crap is about?

Same as everyone else from 877-493-0873,won a hundred $$.Didn't think it was right since I was tracking a cell phone call ,Hey, I won a million$$$ from a well known publishing house. TRACKED THE CALL FROM MOSSEL,JAMACIA. Hundred of other numbers from Jamacia. the number is (876)392-2708. If every reported these scams maybe we could  STOP ALL SCAMS. The caller's name is "Charles Jackson" and had someone in the back ground prompting him.

I just received this same text message from 940-745-8176. I thought it was kind of fishy because there was no company name attached. I'm glad I did a little research before I tried to claim my prize. Needless to say, I will not be calling to claim my reward, nor will I be texting STOP to be removed!

Got the same text as everyone else.  Mine was from 709-271-8172. I can block the number from calling, but not sure I can block texting??

Just got the same text.  Has anyone ever used a robo-dialer program to repeatedly dial their toll free number? I'm not sure if enough people running it at once would have the similar effect as a DDoS attack, but it would certainly drive up their phone charges to the point where this might not be profitable for these do***ebags. Would love to hear if anyone has had fun with this tactic.

I also received a text to call 877-439-0873 to receive my $100 rewards certificate.  The text was from 315-572-0024.  They also gave me the option to text STOP to be removed.  I will be doing neither.

I got the same text today.  They used the telephone number 414-241-0198, with the same $100 scam, and said to call 877-439-0873 (same number as they told you to call).  What is the number you say you found out that they have that you call them back with?  Is is that 877 number?  I have a great friend that will jump on this on much faster than the channels at the "prosecutors" office, so they definitely sent this to the wrong phone THIS time <grin>.
